Stokey, you say you were listening to the radio on Saturday afternoon. Get yourself to a great non league game mate.
I saw a cracker in the Northern Premier league. 8 quid to get in 3.50 pint, pie n chips 4 quid and 4 great goals and a proper view from the stand. Brilliant afternoon out.

Crystal Palace have got their cumuppence regarding Mateta, We offered £35 million but the greedy so and so's stuck out for 40. Thought they had put one over on us but AC Milan won't have him as he failed a fitness test, Where does this leave them if they agreed to pay Wolves £50 million for their centre forward.
They are up the creek without a paddle they have not got the cash but they do have a very unhappy player who wanted to come to us.
Its no good trying to pull a fast one On Evangalos as Tottenham found out!
My heart bleeds for them. Ha, ha, ha.
02 Feb 2026 16:42:11
My cousin lives in Munchengladbach and watches them alit even though they are struggling this season he says Luca Netz is a steal at 3m as last season he was voted their player of the season and is an excellent left back.
02 Feb 2026 17:32:03
He's also good on FIFA 23!
🤭🤭🤭.
02 Feb 2026 18:28:00
Not bad on footy manager either Rogie🤣🌳.
02 Feb 2026 13:49:27
I was listening to Radio 5 live on Saturday when they periodically issued updates on League 2 Gillingham v top of the table Bromley.
Sounds like the evergreen Garath McClearly ( aged 38) was Gills best player in a heavy defeat.
Anyone remember him scoring 4 v Leeds at Elland Road when we beat them 7 goals to 3? I took it as an omen for Friday 🤞🤞🤞🤞.
02 Feb 2026 15:32:26
I remember it Stokey. one goal was when virtually virtually ran from his own half I think.
02 Feb 2026 15:39:55
It's always a surprise when you see an ex-Forest player in the lower leagues, kept track of Lyle Taylor's career just for the season changing game at Bristol City he had for us, now plays for Chelmsford City in National league, also saw that someone who never played well for us, Emmanuel Dennis has joined up with Steve Cooper at Bronby, never thought SC rated him?.
02 Feb 2026 16:36:12
Good posts reds, love them 👍👍👍.
02 Feb 2026 19:05:44
I was in town once and saw him crossing the road, he was on his phone telling somebody that he couldn’t believe he, d been picked to make his Reds debut, he was ecstatic! Think he, d signed from non league.
CARLO.

Was Brennan Johnson playing? On his performance yesterday £48 million was a great bit of business for us ( though its tardiness cost us 4 points).
02 Feb 2026 14:32:56
Why was it a great bit of business?
Watch the review of the 22/ 23 season. It’s easy to see the best thing we could have done is keep jonno.
02 Feb 2026 15:32:52
Agreed mate.
02 Feb 2026 16:35:50
Absolutely ineffective just like he was in the Garaboldi. Money grabbing judas as hit rock bottom. It's all down hill from here. Great bit of business by Forest.
02 Feb 2026 17:10:30
I think the keys words are “” On his performance yesterday “…. he’s certainly not pulled any trees up for Spurs or am I missing something? I always thought he had tremendous pace and attacking skill but a bit of a luxury player workrate wise at Premier level. Superb in tandem with Jed Spence in the Championship.
02 Feb 2026 17:34:34
Absolute nonsense, him and Djed Spence had a brilliant understanding during our charge to The Premier League!
02 Feb 2026 19:21:16
Err, yes Rogie. That would be in the Championship before we got promoted to the Prem. I distinctly remember Jed smoking a big cigar in celebration mate …….
Johnno didn’t do much to impress once in the Premiership though. Don’t get me wrong, he was ok but didn’t take it by storm did he? Likewise at Spurs.
02 Feb 2026 20:01:46
He's a cracking little player, really suited at the time to our counter attacking game and was a great outlet when under pressure like Elanga was last year.
Could score from outside the box too, remember his leveller against Everton, cracking finish.
Think it is a confidence thing with him, he was still Spurs top scorer last season too.

A strange game yesterday. At half time, I thought the second half was going to be long and painful but, oddly, by the end of the game, I was disappointed we hadn’t won it. That was the feeling I heard expressed several times amongst the shuffling crowd caught between the back of the Trent End and the risen river.
Even against 10, I think Palace had problems, especially up top. Hopefully ( for us) they will continue their descent. A lot will depend on who they get in today ( and subsequently on loan).
I said in a post before the game that it was a great time to play them but that we were quite capable of “‘ucking” it up, which we did.
The fact that it was Mr Reliable” himself, Nico, was even more frustrating. With 11 on the pitch I think we’d have been much too much for them, and gone on to win comfortably.
As it was, we “Dyched” a point with a man down, increased the safety margin to 6 ( from minus 4 when SD arrived). To look at it another way, an average of a point a game from here takes us to 40 points, more than enough I think.
A draw at Leeds and a win against Wolves should settle any remaining nerves COYR.
02 Feb 2026 20:04:17
Totally agree Stokey, was a really good first half to watch and still looked most likely to score 2nd half.
We were really out of the blocks quick, same performance please Friday!
02 Feb 2026 12:56:44
Not sure if Sels will be out for any length of time, but securing the services of Ortega will turn out good business, and the timing couldn't be better.
02 Feb 2026 12:30:53
To me playing CHO on the right shows a lack of intention.
Nearly all the damage he causes come playing down the left.
Can understand playing only one winger in some games but if its going to be CHO use him to his best effect.
CARLO.

{Ed's Note - LAUDRUPHAGI has posted a new article entitled, Why Rangers' Window Feels Like Proper Squad Building
02 Feb 2026 06:24:23
A second goal would have put that game to bed yesterday and for me we didn't show enough intent to get it in the first half.
Having taken an early lead we let Palace get on the front foot even though they rarely looked like scoring.
Whilst I can see the logic of starting Dominguez away to add some defensive solidity I cannot understand him starting over Hutchinson yesterday.
What dangerous Palace winger was Dominguez there to help Williams out with?
It also means Hudson Odoi starting on the right and even though he is right footed he seems to become anonymous when playing down that flank. Barely noticed him in the first half!
The gap may well be down to 3 points next weekend with the Hammers playing Burnley and us playing improving Leeds. Let's hope not.
02 Feb 2026 08:53:14
Well said Fred. HDO is useless down the right and Domingues has no pace at all. And that's the reason Jayzoos struggles to score prem goals his lack of pace stops him getting that extra yard to get on the end of things or get clear of his man. Probably the reason why we didn't get a 2nd goal in the first half.
Williams stupidity cost Dyche the luxury of being able to utilise players like Lucca. Players wearing gloves is so efimnate, and it's not natural to stick your hand up even on the goal line. Ban gloves and man up.
02 Feb 2026 11:24:03
Watched MOTD for their take on the game. I know pundits have inflated egos, but Troy Deeney seems to have a well, you know. wouldn't like to say.
02 Feb 2026 11:55:57
Clough, Sheringham, Wood had no pace.
Just say'n.
02 Feb 2026 13:17:37
Not a comparison I'm afraid Rogie.
02 Feb 2026 16:06:29
I think your falling back into your old argumentative self there rutters bud. What the diamond is only saying is you don't need great pace to be decent. Look at huddle, Platini, fabregas etc.
As long as they tie into dyches chess game (ok ok one at a time) it's what ya do. Now remember we don't get reports on training schedules, are they lazy etc. So good point rogie. 👍.
02 Feb 2026 16:38:59
Hoddle damned pred text. 🤣 threw a hooked worm in there for bites.
02 Feb 2026 17:43:14
Ah Bowie my point is those 3 were and are class acts, jayzoos works hard but with his Ltd ability needs a bit of pace to be threatening. Sheringham was superb even in tge air. I'm not just being argumentative I'm stating a valid point. Its tge same with Dan andoy. No pace leaves him wanting.
02 Feb 2026 20:01:33
Good honest debate lads. cheers Bowie.
Saw brilliant clip on U Tube.
Martin O'Neil said Cloughie said to him at half time one day.
"You were terrible!. the linesman is having a better game than you! "
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.
01 Feb 2026 22:12:25
Looks like Luca is an Edu signing as he was on the bench and SD brought Ndoye on when Jesus went off strange that when he had an Italian international available
Hope I’m wrong.
01 Feb 2026 22:44:52
Think we all. felt the same about last sub?
But to be fair dyche got it spot on.
With ten men other than ndoye?
Should have won it, but we didn't and that's life.
01 Feb 2026 22:46:40
You are. Speed up front and some defending was needed, that's not Lucca's forte who has only trained once with the group.
01 Feb 2026 22:57:39
Thought it baffling bringing Ndoye on instead of Awoniyi, after last week's heroics, he must have been chomping at the bit to get on the pitch.
02 Feb 2026 08:04:14
Hutchinson or Awonyi would have been better than Ndoye but hey thought Dyche did OK under the circumstances so that's that move on to Friday 🤡.
02 Feb 2026 16:33:04
For me Rutland is spot on about Jesus, he’s not quick enough for the premier league, the disparity in his goals in the Europa league. Which is has been a lower standard, tells its own story, he hardly ever hits the ball 1st time, always needs to take a touch, in that split second the chance has gone at that level,
01 Feb 2026 21:52:53
I know we were down to 10 men but why didn’t Dyche bring on 1 of the 2 strikers on the bench when taking Jesus off?
01 Feb 2026 22:47:08
To not lose the game?
01 Feb 2026 21:38:48
Here's the deal; no side is a pushover in this league
Villa found that out today
We should have won it first half?
But we didn't
Dyche got tactics right though and Palace never laid a glove on us despite the player advantage?
02 Feb 2026 11:18:19
Good post DTP, I agree entirely. Villa v Brentford shows what a great result we got last week when the Bees were comprehensively “ Dyched”!
