About this time last year, just before Delap signed for Chelsea, we were all lauding him, desperate for him to come to the club. You don't become a flop after one bad season. There is definitely a good player in there, and, looking at the other candidates, dare I say, a future England No.9. If he can get some games and form back, that is. ?

From my perspective, I believe Forest may not have the necessary time to develop the potential talent of Delap. We require a proven striker, and while such players are challenging to acquire, I suggest pursuing Mateta.

We haven't been linked to Mateta this summer, unfortunately. He's a player I really like. But there must be a reason, maybe his injury record, or maybe Palace will refuse to do business with us. Possibly OG doesn't want him again after the whole AC Milan debacle. ?

If we sign Givairo Read Ousman Diamonde Bergvall and Mateta I think that would be a perfect window for us apart from a back up Gk for Mat Sels.

I forecast Forest to finish 8th and if we keep Mgw I think that’s achievable.

I have utter respect for our Police and other members of our society (including prison wardens...) who serve our community. I take my hat off to them all.

However, I have to say that service in the Armed Forces is different. When you sign up to one of the three Services, your wife and family sign up too. I've dragged Mrs Legolas around the world, and also the little Legolases, who had to change school at least every 2 years in the process. Throw into that deployments, training courses, etc., I've worked out that in my 9 years of service I was away from my family for 4 years of that time.



I don't regret it. It was a rollercoaster ride though. Every direct-relative male on my family tree has served in the Army, going back to the 1st and 2nd Boer Wars. I'm proud of that fact and also proud that my ancestors helped to preserve free speech for us all.

Sorry - I'm sounding like Stokey now! Look up one of my relatives, Valentine Strudwick. One of the youngest soldiers to die in WW1 at the age of 15.

An Inspector? I'm not deriding anyone here, but please try to keep 'service' in perspective.

Full respect here for Lego and family for service to the Military, like myself! Plus total respect for the Police, having to put up with the crap these days, and the court system not dealing with repeat offenders! Also big shout out for Prison Wardens, for keeping the scum off the streets. I always think of Mr McKay from Porridge lol

Shame someone thought early release was a good idea, me personally, why give life sentences, just give them the needle. I read about medieval Nottingham, thieves were put to death, because society didn't want them!

Anyone know how to get the Vitoria friendly game on TV? The score is 0 - 0 at the moment, I believe. I can get the Ajax v Burnley game (1 - 0) but no luck on Forest TV or any other Channel at the moment. Was looking forward to it!
