I’ll have him in the team until he’s 45 so new recruits know what it means to put on the Garibaldi.

All this absolute bs about moving Yates on? The only player to breathe and bleed Forest. Incredible attitude, work ethic, morale booster, commitment and is good enough to do the job when required. To those calling for him to move on, bloody Judas.
13 Aug 2026 10:18:07
Spot on Syd!
13 Aug 2026 12:29:37
Yates always underestimated. A great captain, driving the team forward.
13 Aug 2026 15:30:35
Only the hard of thinking (or those who know Jack ? about football) would call for Yates removal, Bse and Syd. Good posts. ??
13 Aug 2026 18:01:37
He proves people wrong time and again. Great player to have in our squad, with so many games to play, we really need players like him.
13 Aug 2026 21:49:23
Every manager at Forest and there have been a few have all rated Yatesy very highly he is an inspirational figure at the club buy then again what do Larry the Ram and recliner boy know about football again
14 Aug 2026 10:02:16
Exactly, Munmad.
Spot on ….. . ???
12 Aug 2026 18:58:34
Where is Hutchinson tonight then?
12 Aug 2026 19:48:08
He's been "Eclipsed". ???
12 Aug 2026 19:52:32
Ndoye 1 nil.
12 Aug 2026 21:41:38
So Ndoye n Malinuendo score the goals. As people who know predicted, players in a new country often have a much better second season. The money spent last year will start to pay dividends (hopefully).
12 Aug 2026 22:28:43
Not too bothered about the game, more bothered about the security aspect of the ground. 11000 thousand people tonight, 45mins to get in, children as young as 5 years old scanned and searched. Totally out of order.
Can you imagine what it will be like against Leeds when it's a sellout, and the city council putting a 2kilomtre parking exclusion zone around the ground. Total s***, they want your money and give you F*** All, only grief.
12 Aug 2026 22:29:58
Or maybe we have a good coach that's getting the best out of them. Either way, let's hope for a good season.
12 Aug 2026 23:11:13
Malinuendo. Don't you love auto-correct? ?
12 Aug 2026 11:46:46
We are going to sign a FB, a number 9 and probably a creative player.
12 Aug 2026 17:39:13
Name them ?
12 Aug 2026 17:59:21
From all the negatives on here, why, oh why would ya want rid of Yates. F****** joke. And I'd actually give Abbott another go.
12 Aug 2026 19:58:10
I find it easier leaving em to it mate, clearly no idea about football. ?
12 Aug 2026 23:13:15
I'd keep Yates all day. Good player to have in squad, and even better in the dressing room. Bleeds Forest.
Who we going to sign? Dunno, but for all the MF talk, I think they need a FB and probs a number 9, although Kali scored again.
12 Aug 2026 23:14:21
Munoz sounds credible.
13 Aug 2026 15:32:18
Good posts about Yates, RRH, Cyclist and Bowie. ??
12 Aug 2026 11:41:12
We are going to sign a Palace player but not Mateta. Glasses wants Munoz, FB.
13 Aug 2026 11:33:31
I'd be surprised if Palace have anything to do with us, tbh, with our mutual antipathy... They are desperate, but not that desperate, I think.
12 Aug 2026 10:35:53
I will miss the game this evening as we have tickets to the RSC to see Kenneth Branagh and Helen Hunt in “The Cherry Orchard” which I’m looking forward to immensely. Especially with a pre performance meal booked in the Rooftop Restaurant looking out over
Stratford on Avon.
Should get a great view of the solar eclipse just before it starts too.
I’ll watch it tomorrow on catch-up Forest TV and look forward to reading everyone’s comments on the game on here... ??.
12 Aug 2026 15:28:05
I envy you, Stokie. Sounds amazing. ?
12 Aug 2026 16:59:13
Enjoy mate.
12 Aug 2026 17:42:03
Rather have an audience with Chubby Brown at the Skinners Arms. Is it just me? ?
12 Aug 2026 18:15:08
Me to Bowie.
12 Aug 2026 17:50:12
I mean how many players and refs do we call Helen hunts stokey. Get your head outta your arse. Being pompous.
12 Aug 2026 19:36:43
Can't wack Chubbs, Bowie. Legend.
12 Aug 2026 19:49:17
Seen him once 30 years ago.
Hilarious.
12 Aug 2026 20:07:49
? Gentlemen, mind you does sound a wee bit bent. ?
13 Aug 2026 11:43:02
Bowie, thanks for the advice but I’d say Chubby Brown and the RSC are not mutually exclusive.
I saw CB many years ago on a right dive in Oldham. He was mediocre at best. Not unfunny but no where near the gold standard for side splitting live comedy set by Tommy Coopet who I saw at the Commodore. He could make you laugh out loud without saying a word.
Bernard Manning was much funnier than CB ( also at the Commodore)
In more recent times I’ve seen loads funnier than CB. Tim Vine, Michael McIntyre, Ross Noble, Jack Dee, Henning Weign, to name a few
Perhaps CB has gotten better material nowadays as he’s become more famous?
Everybody to their own though …..
13 Aug 2026 14:33:19
I'm with Stokey on this. Chubby Brown is about as funny as woodworm on a cripples crutch.
Bernard Manning was far superior.
13 Aug 2026 15:44:17
Fred, mate, I remember Bernard Manning being heckled at the Commodore by some half wit who'd had a few too many sniffs of the barmaid's apron. It was along the lines of "Hoi, Bernard, you fat b******!" Repeatedly. About as funny and abusive as some regular posters on here.
After a while, Bernard went to the edge of the stage and said to this bloke (who was seated near the front, so it was virtually face to face) and said, "Look, when I leave here after the show, I'll get into my customised Rolls Royce, fitted with a private bar, and my chauffeur will drive me to my mansion in the really posh bit of Manchester, while you will be getting on your moped to Broxtowe.
So f*** off whenever you like." ????
With the gales of laughter and cheers ringing in his ears, the bloke shuffled out towards the exit with BM's parting send off, "There he goes, the Godfather of Broxtowe."
I was impressed that it was the perfect put down, and he'd done his research on the local sink estate. Just brilliant. ?????
13 Aug 2026 16:41:56
I don't know about the bloke on the moped, but BM was certainly telling the whole truth about the customised Roller with the private bar and chauffeur.
We stopped it at Cuckney crossroads during the miners strike for its headlight being out, in a situation, having no idea who was in the back.
As soon as BM realised he had an audience, he got out the back and was into the laughs. Told his driver to thump the headlight so it came back on, then the old one about thumping the windscreen to see if the Car Tax disc became valid.
Ended by shaking hands with everyone and giving us the Papal blessing sign of the Cross. Just brilliant, a natural entertainer. ?? ??
13 Aug 2026 17:36:39
Great crack, Stokey.
He was a comedy genius!
13 Aug 2026 18:36:18
Gents, Jethro is hugely underrated, best stand up ever imo. ?
12 Aug 2026 09:33:53
Just read an article regarding Chelski, they've signed yet another player! How? Do they still have Russian mobster money stashed away in a dressing room locker?
12 Aug 2026 10:43:36
If you visit London these days, you are never more than ten metres from a Chelsea squad member. ?
12 Aug 2026 12:35:15
I'm amazed that Man City haven't been punished, with the new season imminent. What's going on there?
Time for the Government's football regulator to step in, I think, and start setting a few time limitations.
It's embarrassing.
12 Aug 2026 07:46:01
There seems to be a debate amongst Forest fans between Milenkovic and Jair Cunha as to who should start with Diamonde and Murrilo in a back 3.
Personally I would go with Milenkovic as he has the experience and an older wiser head.
We can get away with his lack of pace as the other 2 are both quick.
Tyler Bindon and Zac Abbott should go out on loan to Championship clubs that would leave us with Cunha and Morato as cover.
12 Aug 2026 10:10:15
The Serbinater without a doubt for me too. Fickle is the fanbase that this is even being debated. He's hardly put a foot wrong since we signed him. ?
12 Aug 2026 12:29:48
Not that much of a debate to be had. If he drops Milenkovic, he is not as good as people think.
The three won't be fit to play every game. If someone comes in and does well, whoever has been out might have to wait a few games for a chance.
If Ndoye is playing up front, we need a WB. Although I want Eric Moreira da Silva to get a chance, and we still have Savona, I still reckon this system is going to tire the WBs out, and Aina always gets injured.
11 Aug 2026 22:47:46
So we have a Diamonde in the rough? Can Og polish him to a permanent shine?
12 Aug 2026 08:35:16
If we don't invest in a couple of good strikers, I reckon we'll be around between 12-15th.
12 Aug 2026 08:38:53
Skeggs, I've never seen you so excited since we git "Dougie!!".
???
11 Aug 2026 21:00:18
According to the so-called Super Computer, Arsenal to retain the title, Man City 2nd, Giropool 3rd lol, 3 promoted sides to go straight back down! But it has Forest in 17th place, just narrowly above Coventry ? ? ?. So save your money on tickets, no need to watch any football at all!
What a load of Toshiba and a complete waste of time!
11 Aug 2026 21:43:08
Liverpool won't make top 6. Forest will make top 10. Arsenal will be runners up again and super computer is a ZX81. ??
11 Aug 2026 22:06:21
Anyway, off to bed, lads. Looking forward to the Bayern Leverkusen match tomorrow night. In fact, looking forward to this season more than any in a long time. Decent manager, decent players, an owner that's in tune with the manager, and both want the same thing: to win. Living the Forest dream. Night night. ?
12 Aug 2026 06:18:05
Er'e Skeggs???
You on some sort of medication mate???
???
12 Aug 2026 07:31:46
I've already said Forest will finish 8th behind Arsenal, City, Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool, Villa and Spurs.
12 Aug 2026 07:58:25
You did, Munmad. And no, Rogie, just living the Forest dream. ?
12 Aug 2026 08:21:11
We had all those things under VP, but our illustrious leader decided to change it all. Now we are minus Anderson... Just keeping things in perspective.
12 Aug 2026 08:50:18
VP was never going to be long term, Stokie. Not good enough or ambitious enough. Like the couple before him, stop gaps till the right manager come along. Now we have him. ? And who's Anderson? We will not be hearing that name much in the Premier League this season at Man City.
So why don't you just enjoy being a Forest fan under a good manager. Living the Mr M Glasner Forest dream.
12 Aug 2026 10:51:33
I was enjoying the football and results under a very good manager.
And no manager is long term at our basket case club anyway, Skeggs.
We'll wait and see, shall we?
12 Aug 2026 11:37:44
It's good to see what you think of our club, Stokie. Where's your doom brother, Ripley? I notice he hasn't been on since our new signing. Obviously, you can't slate Mr M now for him not backing Glasner. We love Mr M uredddssss uredddssss.
12 Aug 2026 11:43:35
What did the Pooper computer say the season Leicester lifted the title? Or when we got into Europe?
12 Aug 2026 11:52:42
My views of "our" club have never changed, Skeggs. I always back the incumbent manager. What's past is past. But, as a supporter and fan, nearly 60 years, I'm entitled to an opinion, and I'm uneasy with the way it's gone and is going.
Even more so, as you appear to be full of enthusiasm and anticipation. Always a bad sign. ???
12 Aug 2026 12:42:19
Not really, Stokie. I was the same with Nuno, and he got us into Europe. How did your excitement go with Dyche. ???
12 Aug 2026 12:47:59
There you go again, Skeggs... DDS Dyche Derangement Syndrome, mate. It's about time you started charging rent.
Help is out there. ???
12 Aug 2026 13:38:38
No help needed. Hope it doesn't get on your nerves mentioning Dyche, Stokie. Now you knew how we felt every day Dyche was in charge, listening to how great he was from you. Have a great night at the Cherry Orchid, pal. ?
12 Aug 2026 13:48:05
It makes me laugh, and at the same time undermines your credibility on here, Skeggs, so keep it coming, mate. ?????
It's "The Cherry Orchard" not "Orchid".
Chekhov was a great playwright, not a flower arranger, but thanks anyway. ??
12 Aug 2026 14:04:17
Sorry, Stokie, sounds really exciting. Russian love story about a cherry orchid. Enjoy anyway. ?
