For those that think players from the continent will join us some striker from the French second division has been linked to us he is 6'3 and has scored a decent amount of goals for his club.

Carvalho to Trabzonspor is being rumoured.
God yes please. Get as much back as possible and invest for promotion push.
I know this move would Divide opinion but most people seem to be coming on board every week that he just hasn't worked out.

Could just be like you said about someone else linked to us Skegsjay, fake newspaper report.

It could well be wtw but it's more than likely he will be gone somewhere come January.

After the millwall game I'd consider flogging a few more players.

Agree2 0Disagree

07 Dec 2019 19:55:22
Why can't everyone just lay off carvalho and get behind him when picked, Silva was appalling against millwall giving the ball away constantly and contributing very little, yet no complaints about him because he only cost 2.5 mill, πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”.

Agree2 0Disagree

07 Dec 2019 20:26:12
I can not agree with you on that one 79, Osborn cost us nothing yet inspite him giving 100% every game and in a couple of seasons having the most assists in a Championship season some kept on his case only mentioned his weaknesses. You off course do not agree but for me when a player has cost the club a lot of money by their standards then i'm inclined to expect more from that player.

Carvalho was unlucky to have missed a lot of the pre season because he got clobbered and was out as a result but he should be more consistent by now. I hope he makes the grade it is down to the owners not the fans to make the final decision on his fate.

Agree2 0Disagree

07 Dec 2019 20:49:20
So do you think Silva is consistent?
And do you think he'll ever score a goal for us?

Agree0 0Disagree

07 Dec 2019 21:03:48
I think Silva has adapted to English football better, and he has not been at the club anywhere near as long as Carvalho, if Sabri plays him with the aim of scoring i think he is capable of doing it. L

Agree1 0Disagree

07 Dec 2019 21:20:44
Then you haven't been watching him he takes every free kick that comes to nothing, takes every corner that mostly comes to nothing and the best you can say about his shooting is to tell him not to.
Busy player but gives the ball away far too much.

Agree2 0Disagree

07 Dec 2019 21:41:25
That's just me even it up on cavs replacement no goals and very few assists, its all about what cavs cost with you lot.

Agree1 0Disagree

07 Dec 2019 22:03:49
He broken up more other teams attacks than Carvalho has assists and goals to his name. Carvalho thinks making a tackle to get the ball back so he can create something for us is beneath him, it is a team sport, gone are days when you can carry a player untill he decides to pick the perfect pass, or show a bit of skill then scores. Like i have said i hope he can make the grade but he needs to do sooner rather than later. I notice you have not mentioned anything about Osborn costing nothing and still getting stick.

Agree2 0Disagree

07 Dec 2019 22:33:08
No tens aren't expected to win balks they have to win games with their assists and goals, I saw a striker? last night who couldn't be a striker and cudn't score if hos life depended on it but was marginally better at tackling, buts that's not what they are there for.

Silva won't score a goal all season and won't assist much either.
Like I say if it wasnt for the fact that cavs cost 13 million non of you would be complaining, that's all it's about and all it's ever been about.

Like say also semedo had a stinker and he's valued at 25 mill, ameobi cost nothing had a first half stinker but came good, just stop getting on one players back because he cost 13 million, if you want to call someone then take it out on the owners who are wasting another 100 million on a new stadium trying to please some of you with the crap they give you with players that cost 13 million.
Think about that.

Agree1 0Disagree

07 Dec 2019 23:03:02
On another note Osborn struggles to even make the bench at Sheffied.
The boy is just a grafter that can't nail down a position for his career.
One of the best engines I've ever seen and a remarkable injury free career but lacks any killer instinct and doesn't know his true position.

Agree0 0Disagree

08 Dec 2019 00:34:40
Like i said about Osborn for about two seasons he had the most assists in the Championship, yet he cost nothing and kep getting stick, as for his true position it is not his fault every manager liked he could cover different positions and therefore played him in them, Not Bad having the Most Assists in the Championship for a player that does not know his best position yet still got slated. Yet you think Carvalho only gets slated because of his value. πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”.

Agree1 0Disagree

08 Dec 2019 10:54:27
79, he was the most expensive transfer in the clubs history, ofcourse people are going to expect more of him. I don't see why you feel so personally offended that people want rid of him but the fact is that he hasn't delivered. Silva might not be the best either but in my opinion, and it seems Sabris too, he is better than Carvalho.

Agree1 0Disagree

08 Dec 2019 12:19:33
Skegsjay feels Carvalho will be leaving in January, maybe Skegsjay is right. If Carvalho leaves it could mean someone will come in that is better than Silva and Carvalvo while a decent back up to Grabs Two joins the team. The transfer window is going to be interesting to see who,and how many comes in.

09 Dec 2019 14:04:46
Ben Osborn? Most assists in the Championship? When? lol

2014/ 15: 4 assists.
2015/ 16: 5 assists.
2016/ 17: 7 assists.
2017/ 18: 5 assists.
2018/ 19: 5 assists.

Lolley got 11 assists last season and the assist leaders in this division tend to be around a dozen or more each season. Not 5 or 7.

Another sick note that hasn't done nothing since his scoring days at Ipswich.

We are reputed to want Connor Wickham on loan from Crystal Palace, they are calling him a striker, but i thought he was more of a attacking midfielder. He would need four games at least due to his lack of game time to get up full fitness.

Believable0 0Unbelievable

05 Dec 2019 14:07:14
Yes and hope he doesn't get injured in between them 4 games been to injury prone thanks but no thanks let's move on to the next made up story from the papers 😁.

Agree0 0Disagree

05 Dec 2019 14:43:46
Connor Wickham, no thanks. Dwight Gale to Connor Wickham? Chalk and cheese.

Agree0 0Disagree

05 Dec 2019 14:56:42
Daz, i understand if you do not rate him, but the comparison to Gayle is not something i understand. They are two different types of player, Gayle is without a doubt a out and out goal scorer, Wickham is a defence splitter that chips in with some goals. Skegsjay does have a good point though that injury prone players should not be brought in to the club, and Skegsjay thinks he is injury prone, i assume he knows he has kept tabs on him to some extent to say that.

Agree0 0Disagree

05 Dec 2019 19:24:46
WTW I know they are two different types of player hence my comment chalk and cheese. Its goals we need not an injury prone player who will not get the goals required. Just think we could do better. Shane Long would be a player I would consider, needs to get his career back on track and he would get goals in the Championship and would probably be a cheaper option than DG?

Agree1 0Disagree

05 Dec 2019 20:04:54
I did not get your post as you meant it either Daz, by saying chalk and cheese it looked as if you were saying they are both strikers, Galleries who is quality, to Wickham who's poor. We do need a goal getter but we also need someone to challenge Lolley to create and score goals.

Agree0 0Disagree

05 Dec 2019 20:36:49
Sorry guys I should have explained myself better. We need a striker who will get goals and DG would be exactly that. Wickham is not a striker who will get us the goals, even if he does chip in with the odd goal or assist I just think we could do better? probably the wrong choice of words in my first post.

Agree0 0Disagree

05 Dec 2019 22:59:21
Gayle and Wickham are both strikers. Wickham is a big strong No9 that's never quite kicked on. Watford in for him too apparently.

Agree1 0Disagree

06 Dec 2019 11:52:48
SSWE I always thought a striker was either the number 11 whose main job was to score as many goals as possible, or the number 10 in combination with the number 11 when two are played up front and the number 9 is a feeder that chips in with a few goals.

Agree0 0Disagree

06 Dec 2019 12:20:43
I supposed it's subjective but Wickham is a 6ft+ centre-forward. When he broke through, he made waves in the England youth set up and was supposed to be the next Alan Shearer. Obviously it didn't work out that way for him.

For me, a No9 is the man that plays centrally and leads the line and is often a target man. A No10 is traditionally more creative and floats around the No9, often dropping a bit deeper to get the ball to feet.

That's only a personal opinion though. I know different shirt numbers mean different things to different people, especially in different countries. For e. g. A No3 over here is a left-back but in Holland, traditionally, the No5 is the left back. Or a No5 in Argentina is often a deep-lying midfielder.

Agree0 0Disagree

06 Dec 2019 13:08:18
Imo no thanks to Conor, hardly been ripping up trees and not worked out at Palace for him. Gayle (cheating aside), is proven at this level but unless it's a loan deal he's not worth 15 mil at 30.

I wonder if they are still keeping tabs on Shankland at Dundee.

Agree0 0Disagree

06 Dec 2019 13:53:16
42 someone suggested Shane Long, what are your thoughts on him joining us.

Agree0 0Disagree

06 Dec 2019 15:59:19
And again as I've said before will we get a big named striker that is going to sit on the bench and wait for grabbon to get injured were not going to change the system it works and we're not going to pay 10 to 15 million pound on a striker to sit on the bench we already have a number 10 that's cost us 13 million sitting on the bench it will be a up and coming foreign lad that we probably haven't heard off that will learn off grabbon we will probably invest more in a attacking midfielder or a attacking winger any way its good watching you come up with all these top strikers it's like reading the papers every morning lol 4 nil tonight uredddsss.

Agree2 0Disagree

07 Dec 2019 14:11:42
WTW, Long always gives 100% and is full of running, really liked by the fans. Doesn't score that many for the Saints and usually used as a super sub for them, one of my mates is a Saints fan so watch them when on the box.

Would be decent in the Championship if he dropped down but 32 now so past his best I would think.

He's not going to leave Forest and go to that tin pot outfit just another yoyo club with a small ground and no fans. Not just saying this cause I'm a Forest fan, but if you was at Leeds would you leave a massive club like that for Watford.
Ain't going to happen folks😎.

Why not "why would he leave "The Mighty Forest" for a tin pot club like Watford?

Agree1 0Disagree

04 Dec 2019 00:20:16
Is the Leeds manager linked with the Watford job then? πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ I get it now, thank goodness our manager isn’t linked to that job-he wouldn’t be able to turn it down, it would be a huge opportunity to manage a massive club 🀣 oops that balloons popped πŸŽˆπŸ“Œ.

04 Dec 2019 08:08:12
🎈Gayles linked to forest - why on earth would he leave Newcastle to sign for Leeds πŸ€ͺ.

Agree2 0Disagree

04 Dec 2019 11:16:51
I understand the Leeds Reference, RB lol It's not that hard to understand.

He was just using Leeds as a neutral example as to why a Manager at a big club in the second tier might not jump ship for a small club who could be on their way down from the first tier. Pretty simple to comprehend.

04 Dec 2019 12:49:50
Common sense? 🀣 it was all about our manager being looked at by Watford - what has that got to do with Leeds and Watford? i'm sure everyone agree with the essence of the post ie. history, crowds, ground Big club/ little club etc. but still can’t see why dirty Leeds got a mention - surely the forest / watford differences are clear to see for anyone πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ Anyway can we just ban the β€˜ dirty Leeds’words from the forum and put this to bed πŸ‘.
