I'm hearing rumours we've re signed Sam Surridge? Anybody else heard this or is it a windup?
I thought he did well for us by the way.
1.) 01 Feb 2025 01:26:44
Right now I'd take him over Taiwo and if Everton are serious about taking him off us its got to be win win.
23 May 2024 17:14:18
There's talk linking us with De Zerbi. So long as it's not his much less successful Championship brother De Derbi. ????.
14 Jan 2024 21:25:35
Paul Taylor of the Athletic says we are to be informed we are in breach of FFP tomorrow. He's not usually wrong. ???.
1.) 14 Jan 2024 22:12:34
50 quid fine ?.
2.) 15 Jan 2024 12:12:55
Wrist slap, after appeal. ?.
3.) 15 Jan 2024 12:23:23
I d add quite a few noughts to that Skegs if I were you mate! And that’s if we are lucky. It’s loss of points that will kill us…….
4.) 16 Jan 2024 01:50:21
“The name of the club doesn't matter. Every club should be treated equally under the rules set out.
“But the elephant in the room isn't being addressed. 115 charges, zero action. Why? ”.
5.) 16 Jan 2024 09:32:22
There's a cult developing In this fanbase. Some fans am have fallen for the clueless and wreckless owners nonesense about ambition while breaking rules he voted to make last year at the long term expenses of the club. Thankgod for ffp to protect the long term future of clubs from bad ownership. Show some real ambition Instead of being nodding dogs to mariankiss, he sells anyone good buys a team for the money he gets and says that ambition, the ground was announced five years ago nothing, we are a laughing stock under him. Get these out while we're prem and hope for proper owners from USA or suadi.
6.) 16 Jan 2024 18:27:39
My nonsense-meter is twitching!
Owners take a calculated risk to stay in the Prem. Get accused of being wreckless when it works. Fans like being in the Prem are called members of a cult.
The solution: Get owners like the ones at Man United (Glazers? ) or Man city (109 charges and run a country where women celebrate being ALLOWED to drive in 2018),
Forstphil, what team do you support?
7.) 16 Jan 2024 22:23:12
Forestphil1234 - what a load of tosh!

I don't usually pay much credence to the comments of Jamie Carragher aka Spit the Punk Dog, but the NEP s reported conversation between him and SC is very interesting and worth a read. It's a good summation of SCs "nightmare"situation under Marinkinakos ( and presumably that situation will be continued under Nunez).
It would appear that SC had no idea of what players ( and in what numbers) would be arriving at the club, despite his oft repeated mantra that he, the owner and the recruitment team were all supposedly "reading off the same page"?
It might be a rare glimpse behind the scenes at our beloved club before the media gag is imposed as part of the terms of SCs payoff.
1.) 21 Dec 2023 12:21:52
Tough to see SC go and we have to remain positive about Nuno. Did a great job with Wolves so just got to see how the City ground welcomes him saturday.
Transfers wise, realistically, we sell McKenna and Worrall unless they are given a chance by Nuno. I think we cancel the loans for Montiel, Tavares, santos and origi - they have offered us nothing all season.
Maybe sell Boly as he hates Nuno from their time at wolves and maybe sell Felipe due to injuries (hard for me to say this) but he's a strong leader in the group.
We sign Nino from Fluminense (centre half linked with) and get Omobamidele involved more with 1st team squad
The midfield is sound and we cover - Yates and Mangala start.
We buy another winger who has PL experience to compete with Hudson-Odoi and Elanga (Sancho on loan but doubt that will happen! ) and then we buy a striker. Maybe try and get the lad Serhou Guirassy from Stuttgart for 17.5m release clause but he may go elsewhere. Keep Wood as a last minute backup ready for Awoniyi.
2.) 21 Dec 2023 14:12:18
I don't get why we keep going on about players coming in are not the managers choice, it been like that for years now thier is not one manager out their that has control over the players that come in.
A manager years ago would go and scout the player themselves and go back to the owner or chairman and say who they wanted, however we don't have managers anymore they are HEAD COACH who are just told to train the players and its done to the director or football who we bring in, and it's also a lot to do with agents who in my opinion have spoilt the game.
3.) 21 Dec 2023 15:14:21
Lower BC, that’s why we willl never attract any great coaches. Can you imagine Klopp, Pep or Arteta putting up with the interference like SC has had to? Hence, the merry go round of new appointments.
4.) 21 Dec 2023 18:12:51
Do you really think they have that much say on who comes in aswell, good example kelvin Philips great prospect went to man city and has sat on the bench, he was not peps choice of player and it shows pep didn't want him, arteta never wanted ramesdale his first choice was alway raya.
We won't attract no big coach at the moment due to not finishing high enough in the league and no European football.
Who is a top class coach you would like to see though being our head coach, for me I would like Marco rose.
{Ed001's Note - neither of those examples are true, both Pep and Arteta have full control of recruitment.}
5.) 21 Dec 2023 19:40:32
Thought so Ed1. What’s the recruitment agreement at Liverpool with Klopp?
{Ed001's Note - he has final say.}
14 Mar 2023 18:08:56
Dennis also I guess before Ayew. Though, as I say, none of those replacements have pulled any trees up this season . ?.

I was listening to Radio 5 live on Saturday when they periodically issued updates on League 2 Gillingham v top of the table Bromley.
Sounds like the evergreen Garath McClearly ( aged 38) was Gills best player in a heavy defeat.
Anyone remember him scoring 4 v Leeds at Elland Road when we beat them 7 goals to 3? I took it as an omen for Friday ????.
1.) 02 Feb 2026 15:32:26
I remember it Stokey. one goal was when virtually virtually ran from his own half I think.
2.) 02 Feb 2026 15:39:55
It's always a surprise when you see an ex-Forest player in the lower leagues, kept track of Lyle Taylor's career just for the season changing game at Bristol City he had for us, now plays for Chelmsford City in National league, also saw that someone who never played well for us, Emmanuel Dennis has joined up with Steve Cooper at Bronby, never thought SC rated him?.
3.) 02 Feb 2026 16:36:12
Good posts reds, love them ???.
02 Feb 2026 13:39:20
Was Brennan Johnson playing? On his performance yesterday £48 million was a great bit of business for us ( though its tardiness cost us 4 points).
1.) 02 Feb 2026 14:32:56
Why was it a great bit of business?
Watch the review of the 22/ 23 season. It’s easy to see the best thing we could have done is keep jonno.
2.) 02 Feb 2026 15:32:52
Agreed mate.
3.) 02 Feb 2026 16:35:50
Absolutely ineffective just like he was in the Garaboldi. Money grabbing judas as hit rock bottom. It's all down hill from here. Great bit of business by Forest.
4.) 02 Feb 2026 17:10:30
I think the keys words are “” On his performance yesterday “…. he’s certainly not pulled any trees up for Spurs or am I missing something? I always thought he had tremendous pace and attacking skill but a bit of a luxury player workrate wise at Premier level. Superb in tandem with Jed Spence in the Championship.
5.) 02 Feb 2026 17:34:34
Absolute nonsense, him and Djed Spence had a brilliant understanding during our charge to The Premier League!
02 Feb 2026 13:14:36
A strange game yesterday. At half time, I thought the second half was going to be long and painful but, oddly, by the end of the game, I was disappointed we hadn’t won it. That was the feeling I heard expressed several times amongst the shuffling crowd caught between the back of the Trent End and the risen river.
Even against 10, I think Palace had problems, especially up top. Hopefully ( for us) they will continue their descent. A lot will depend on who they get in today ( and subsequently on loan).
I said in a post before the game that it was a great time to play them but that we were quite capable of “‘ucking” it up, which we did.
The fact that it was Mr Reliable” himself, Nico, was even more frustrating. With 11 on the pitch I think we’d have been much too much for them, and gone on to win comfortably.
As it was, we “Dyched” a point with a man down, increased the safety margin to 6 ( from minus 4 when SD arrived). To look at it another way, an average of a point a game from here takes us to 40 points, more than enough I think.
A draw at Leeds and a win against Wolves should settle any remaining nerves COYR.
31 Jan 2026 18:32:42
Think I put Maduke by error…we must be patient tomorrow, it could be a frustrating day. In theory its a good time to play them.
1.) 31 Jan 2026 19:11:36
A question for you all especially for you stokey as you travel a lot for home games. What is the definition of a true Red? I ask because up until I got married I'd go to every home game and quite a few away games. I was chatting to the boss of the haulage firm I was working for about forest ( he was a season ticket holder) he said I wasn't a true Red as I didn't follow forest home and away.
My reply was I drove his truck Monday to Friday and he didn't pay me enough as I had a wife and family to provide for. That was a long time ago but I still haven't forgiven him because it doesn't matter if you go to the games, you can still be 100 pr cent a RED. Just my take.
2.) 31 Jan 2026 19:27:18
Of course why are you asking you live your life around your nearest and dearest and the club you support comes into that and things can change in your life but you will always be a RED??.
3.) 31 Jan 2026 19:34:24
Answered it yourself my good friend, for me it just where the heart is , money just f kn stinks. In the premiership. myself vale. Had to take early retirement. miss the banter. but far from rich. Just got to follow your own sense of the badge.
and oi, never ever look towards giving yourself a hard time, a true red just knows, never beat yourself on bullying. Enough with VAR, linesman, refs. Without fans pulling ya down. Be proud bud ?.
4.) 31 Jan 2026 20:29:45
Thanks jester and Bowie, it's been niggling me for over 40years. now I'm retired I can afford a season ticket but not to away games. that old sod insisted you were only a true Red if you went home and away every game no matter what day of the week it was
. cheers lads and for my penny's worth it's a win tomorrow.
5.) 31 Jan 2026 21:16:09
He's probably pushing up a sod now after 40 years?
6.) 31 Jan 2026 21:52:12
Vale, mate, it’s what in your heart.
I wasn’t always able to go to every home game both because of family commitments and also because of the nature of my job. My whole career in the Police was front line shift work which included a good proportion of match days. I retired in 2009 which made it much easier ( though I did work 9 to 5 for Staffordshire Public Analysts Dept then Tesco during Covid which included some evenings.
So it’s only in the past few years I’ve been able to go for the season ticket.
But, like all true love, absence (due to work and University when I was away at Uni in Wales for 3 years) makes the heart grow fonder. I can tell you are a real Red and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise my friend ???????.
31 Jan 2026 18:27:45
Well, it’s looking like a win for West Ham at HT anyway, putting the pressure on us tomorrow again. Chelsea are shocking atm.
We are quite capable of “ucking things up against Palace but it’s a golden opportunity with Guehi, Eze, Maduke gone, Wharton suspended and Mateta out with Glasner a dead man walking. Just be our luck to blob it …….
1.) 31 Jan 2026 19:00:39
Nunos put Morato on sorry I mean Kilman ha ha.
2.) 31 Jan 2026 19:35:48
Premature again Stokie. Not just your wife that suffers mate ??.
3.) 31 Jan 2026 19:39:56
A game of 2 halves.
West Ham have improved no doubt. They won't go down without a fight.
4.) 31 Jan 2026 19:51:37
They can fight all they like but still going down
Nuno is the man ???.
5.) 31 Jan 2026 20:39:49
Forest 67 yep 2nd half Chelsea put some proper players on.
6.) 31 Jan 2026 21:41:36
But still played with ten men and a donkey up front hey stevie?
7.) 31 Jan 2026 21:53:40
Larry, you know me well mate ……??????.
8.) 31 Jan 2026 23:00:38
Two pricks sharing a joke? ???.
23 Jan 2026 20:44:12
I’d keep Savona as back up centre back and get rid of Morato. Savona isn’t a full back to be fair to him.
23 Jan 2026 10:00:18
Head of recruitment certainly SY. SD can only work with what he’s been given mate….
21 Jan 2026 18:07:28
Do you actually watch any Reds games Cyclist?
Or you just believe the propaganda? Genuine question mate …….
21 Jan 2026 11:52:57
Cyclist “Dyches long ball 80’s football”? Not again, thought I’d put that to bed, where I’m off to now ????????.
17 Jan 2026 11:50:40
Cyclist, in a recent post to Ed 1 I did predict that Palace would be dragged into the relegation scrap if they lost more key players ( like Eze) and I mentioned Wharton and Guehi by name. The fact that Glasner, an excellent manager, has now stated he is off in the summer is an additional bonus for us.
However, I think he would rather nail his own gonads to a wooden fence than work for an “erratic” owner like ours. Besides which, there will be no vacancy to fill……. ?? ?.

02 Feb 2026 11:18:19
Good post DTP, I agree entirely. Villa v Brentford shows what a great result we got last week when the Bees were comprehensively “ Dyched”!

31 Jan 2026 13:42:09
We can’t really tell from one game how good or bad the Hungarians are. It could just be they had an off day or Forest overwhelmed them? To be fair.
