I'm hearing rumours we've re signed Sam Surridge? Anybody else heard this or is it a windup?
I thought he did well for us by the way.
1.) 01 Feb 2025 01:26:44
Right now I'd take him over Taiwo and if Everton are serious about taking him off us its got to be win win.
23 May 2024 17:14:18
There's talk linking us with De Zerbi. So long as it's not his much less successful Championship brother De Derbi. ????.
14 Jan 2024 21:25:35
Paul Taylor of the Athletic says we are to be informed we are in breach of FFP tomorrow. He's not usually wrong. ???.
1.) 14 Jan 2024 22:12:34
50 quid fine ?.
2.) 15 Jan 2024 12:12:55
Wrist slap, after appeal. ?.
3.) 15 Jan 2024 12:23:23
I d add quite a few noughts to that Skegs if I were you mate! And that’s if we are lucky. It’s loss of points that will kill us…….
4.) 16 Jan 2024 01:50:21
“The name of the club doesn't matter. Every club should be treated equally under the rules set out.
“But the elephant in the room isn't being addressed. 115 charges, zero action. Why? ”.
5.) 16 Jan 2024 09:32:22
There's a cult developing In this fanbase. Some fans am have fallen for the clueless and wreckless owners nonesense about ambition while breaking rules he voted to make last year at the long term expenses of the club. Thankgod for ffp to protect the long term future of clubs from bad ownership. Show some real ambition Instead of being nodding dogs to mariankiss, he sells anyone good buys a team for the money he gets and says that ambition, the ground was announced five years ago nothing, we are a laughing stock under him. Get these out while we're prem and hope for proper owners from USA or suadi.
6.) 16 Jan 2024 18:27:39
My nonsense-meter is twitching!
Owners take a calculated risk to stay in the Prem. Get accused of being wreckless when it works. Fans like being in the Prem are called members of a cult.
The solution: Get owners like the ones at Man United (Glazers? ) or Man city (109 charges and run a country where women celebrate being ALLOWED to drive in 2018),
Forstphil, what team do you support?
7.) 16 Jan 2024 22:23:12
Forestphil1234 - what a load of tosh!
21 Dec 2023 11:18:06
I don't usually pay much credence to the comments of Jamie Carragher aka Spit the Punk Dog, but the NEP s reported conversation between him and SC is very interesting and worth a read. It's a good summation of SCs "nightmare"situation under Marinkinakos ( and presumably that situation will be continued under Nunez).
It would appear that SC had no idea of what players ( and in what numbers) would be arriving at the club, despite his oft repeated mantra that he, the owner and the recruitment team were all supposedly "reading off the same page"?
It might be a rare glimpse behind the scenes at our beloved club before the media gag is imposed as part of the terms of SCs payoff.
1.) 21 Dec 2023 12:21:52
Tough to see SC go and we have to remain positive about Nuno. Did a great job with Wolves so just got to see how the City ground welcomes him saturday.
Transfers wise, realistically, we sell McKenna and Worrall unless they are given a chance by Nuno. I think we cancel the loans for Montiel, Tavares, santos and origi - they have offered us nothing all season.
Maybe sell Boly as he hates Nuno from their time at wolves and maybe sell Felipe due to injuries (hard for me to say this) but he's a strong leader in the group.
We sign Nino from Fluminense (centre half linked with) and get Omobamidele involved more with 1st team squad
The midfield is sound and we cover - Yates and Mangala start.
We buy another winger who has PL experience to compete with Hudson-Odoi and Elanga (Sancho on loan but doubt that will happen! ) and then we buy a striker. Maybe try and get the lad Serhou Guirassy from Stuttgart for 17.5m release clause but he may go elsewhere. Keep Wood as a last minute backup ready for Awoniyi.
2.) 21 Dec 2023 14:12:18
I don't get why we keep going on about players coming in are not the managers choice, it been like that for years now thier is not one manager out their that has control over the players that come in.
A manager years ago would go and scout the player themselves and go back to the owner or chairman and say who they wanted, however we don't have managers anymore they are HEAD COACH who are just told to train the players and its done to the director or football who we bring in, and it's also a lot to do with agents who in my opinion have spoilt the game.
3.) 21 Dec 2023 15:14:21
Lower BC, that’s why we willl never attract any great coaches. Can you imagine Klopp, Pep or Arteta putting up with the interference like SC has had to? Hence, the merry go round of new appointments.
4.) 21 Dec 2023 18:12:51
Do you really think they have that much say on who comes in aswell, good example kelvin Philips great prospect went to man city and has sat on the bench, he was not peps choice of player and it shows pep didn't want him, arteta never wanted ramesdale his first choice was alway raya.
We won't attract no big coach at the moment due to not finishing high enough in the league and no European football.
Who is a top class coach you would like to see though being our head coach, for me I would like Marco rose.
{Ed001's Note - neither of those examples are true, both Pep and Arteta have full control of recruitment.}
5.) 21 Dec 2023 19:40:32
Thought so Ed1. What’s the recruitment agreement at Liverpool with Klopp?
{Ed001's Note - he has final say.}
14 Mar 2023 18:08:56
Dennis also I guess before Ayew. Though, as I say, none of those replacements have pulled any trees up this season . ?.

Again I ask…… are you not entertained gentlemen ( I use the non exclusively as Joan has sadly but understandably shied away from the toxic masculinity on here from some posters)?
I can’t add much more to the excellent post match comments from several contributors particularly Rutland, Cyprus and Gazzibaldi.
If this is so called Dyche ball bring it on. Some lovely, zippy football yesterday, gorgeous to watch. Mixed with the pragmatic stuff, discipline, organisation, defensive solidity and workrate from everyone in the red shirts.
Good to see Luiz getting some minutes, particularly as our midfield options have become limited with the absences now of Sanghere, Dominquez and Yates. Likewise, Savona is doing well playing out of position. Again, good news that Aina is taking the first steps back on the field with the Academy and I look forward to seeing Cubiano.
“ If Dyche ball be the food of love, play on;
Give me excess of it, that, surfeiting,
The appetite may sicken, and so die. ”
Do you agree comrades?
12 Dec 2025 19:56:27
Winning 2 nil at the break, Aina with an assist for our second …. ??.
1.) 12 Dec 2025 20:10:08
While it's good news stokey, it will probably end up with him going to afcon now and after being out so long it would be nice for us to take it slowly with him and not push to hard?
2.) 12 Dec 2025 20:46:05
Whoops just read him and awoniyi not picked as forest insist they aren't fit.
12 Dec 2025 19:51:16
Aina is back tonight playing for the Academy against Millwall! ????????????.
1.) 12 Dec 2025 20:00:21
Great news. However the cynic would say just enough time to get fit for AFCON.
2.) 12 Dec 2025 20:15:38
Probably my favourite player stokey next to murrilo. Huge miss to our pressing, just brings something different to the squad.
3.) 12 Dec 2025 20:47:35
That was my first thought gazzi, but been left out.
4.) 12 Dec 2025 21:21:21
Got the impression from Sean Dyches press converance, Nigeria have asked for him to go over there, and Sean said no. Difficult for a coach to not show any disrespect to AFCON and keep the player happy about the decision.
At the moment it's getting like the Chinese New Year calender on here????.
5.) 12 Dec 2025 22:26:03
Love the last bit mossy ???.
6.) 12 Dec 2025 22:33:14
Messy what's carlo said and done to you little boy. are you dtp bestest friend from the school ground do you need to protect him ???.
7.) 12 Dec 2025 22:52:09
You really are desperate for attention!, sad?.
8.) 12 Dec 2025 23:04:33
He's been quiet today mossy
Been busy fitting bog seats
Got caught again with his trousers down testing one while on his phone I'd say ????.
9.) 13 Dec 2025 14:28:42
Thanks for the comment DTP?, really do appreciate "All" the posters who go down and report on the games, you can pick up any discontent with the supporters and give a first hand view of the games, I don't know where Skegs gets we are "Buds", I've posted many times against you when you are quick to right of the academy players ?.
11 Dec 2025 21:36:51
Got the job done against a mid Championship quality side but well organised and difficult to break down. We made hard work of it and I think an Ange team would have bottled it at the end like Swansea.
Credit to SD, good substitutions in personel and timing. Recognised we needed to win tonight and was positive and attacking in the changes he made.
Good to see a few reinforcements arriving. Zinchenko, understandably, looked rusty and lacks pace but a useful squad player.
Luiz oozes class and will have welcomed 45 mins on the pitch. Him staying fit will be vital to our Prem survival, especially with Yates injured.
Ndoye not at the races at all. I hope Hutch replaces him against Spurs.
Dominquez had a good game, tremendous work rate and can influence the game more the further up the pitch he goes. He’s under rated imo and a very very good footballer.
Credit to Kalimuendo and Jesus, both put a shift in and took their chances well. Was Mcteer playing? CHO was a thorn in their side all the match and looked tricky and sharp throughout
Just one criticism…. When we have a 6’7” goal keeper and Morato 6’4”, Malenkovic 6’5”, Sanghere 6’3” etc do we concede from a header after a set piece? ????.
1.) 11 Dec 2025 22:27:08
Cus it bypassed them all and ndoye didn't do his job stokey is the simple answer.
2.) 11 Dec 2025 23:15:05
I agree with much of what you say Stokey, but to me Zinchenko is not worth a spot in the team. He fluffs almost everything and fails to drop back and defend or tackle. Ndoye lacks confidence but was in the right place with his headers to score.
Size is not important in defence as much as positioning and making a challenge for the ball.
All in all I think the team did well and we have saved some players for Sunday.
Got to admire both Kalimuendo and Jesus, both seem really good blokes and beginning to adapt to Prem League football and demands.
3.) 12 Dec 2025 04:17:18
I wonder if Jesus and Kalimuendo would work as a striker partnership, there confidence must be sky high at the moment, it's something I would like Sean Dyche to try.
More experience gained for Abbott, great to see someone from the academy in the Forest team in Europe.
4.) 12 Dec 2025 06:50:41
I must of watched a different game ?? Jesus looking good but kalibellendo was non existent until he popped up with a lucky goal from a yard out now we have 2 Maradonas all of a sudden ??.
5.) 12 Dec 2025 07:08:06
Skegs - Its not the attackers fault if the midfield cannot spot the runs of strikers and opt to pass sideways or backwards or attempt a shot from 30 yards out.
We need more quality through balls like what MGW produced that created the second goal in the final third.
I think its hard to say how good or weak our strikers are until we see more quality passes to them. We could have Ronado up front but if we can't get the ball to him its pointless.
A major weakness with Forest is the midfielders lack creativity in the final third making it impossible for final third players.
6.) 12 Dec 2025 07:50:57
Absolutely spot on Adf
Luiz will be our game changer in that department if we can keep him fit.
7.) 12 Dec 2025 08:05:36
Not the midfielders fault they get bypassed by sels and the defence lumping up the ball dycheball style.
8.) 12 Dec 2025 09:13:45
Yes Skegs - Sels massively over rated imo. Kicks the ball straight back to the opposition 9 times out of 10.
Need a keeper that can play out from the back - stick with John for a bit.
9.) 12 Dec 2025 09:43:23
Sels wasn't playing though skeggs, keep up.
10.) 12 Dec 2025 10:53:01
Whoops! Anybody else mis- read the starting time! Turned on my phone and 56 mins gone! Thought it was 7.45 start. Anyway Kali scored! Quite a half hour followed but we got there. Made the Salmon Tray Bake taste very sweet. One of my better ones. (Omega 3, folks-keeps you calm).
11.) 12 Dec 2025 11:45:36
I'm on about all games dtp and John was just as bad it's the dycheball way.
11 Dec 2025 10:58:31
The knife hero Steven Crean travelled with the team to Holland. Well done the Reds
Also, Murillo, Zinchenko and Luiz in the squad.
I watched Utrechts 1 1 draw at home to Twente on Sunday. It won’t be easy ( especially without Yatesy) they looked fast and zippy going forward, creating chances particularly first half.
They faded second half and, after Twente’s deserved equaliser were under the cosh last 15. Their goalkeeper kept them in it and saved a point.
1.) 11 Dec 2025 11:44:17
We got more subs than captain Yatesy. We will be fine.
Yatesy will be back after the welsh game - bit tough that one!
2.) 11 Dec 2025 13:25:24
We should be able to beat that lot with the ladies team ?? stokie already bringing out the excuses Where's your faith in dycheball.
3.) 12 Dec 2025 11:49:04
Looks like I was right again Skegs! A damned close run thing as Wellington said of Waterloo!
06 Dec 2025 11:42:36
????.
05 Dec 2025 18:15:17
Cyclist and Mossy, if I thought Sean Dyche paid any attention at all to this site, I’d recommend he gets sectioned under the Mental Health Act. If he wasn’t mad when he started he certainly would be after a while ……???????.
03 Dec 2025 15:33:12
At that age Red it’s probably Boly’s replacement on the bench or Europa squad perhaps?
30 Oct 2025 19:05:52
As far as I’m concerned he can Farke off! ???.
09 Oct 2025 21:03:13
I thought Rafa has had heart problems in the past? The last thing you want as a Forest manager is a dodgy ticker……. ???.
15 Dec 2025 16:32:17
Good post Ed. Certainly Dyche has made a big fuss about the fitness levels at Forest in a way Slot perhaps hasn’t. Perhaps Slot has relied to much on the sheer talent available either at Liverpool or wanting to sign for them in January.
I think the old saying probably applies…. genius is 1 % inspiration and 99% perspiration!
{Ed001's Note - he listens too much to the fitness and conditioning coaches. Klopp used to fight with them all the time as they claimed he worked the players too hard and was burning them out, but Liverpool were the fittest team in the league and won some games by virtue of being able to outwork the opposition. However, Slot has taken the advice and lessened the training, supposedly to reduce injuries and fatigue, but has found out what I have always said - train less and get injured more. The players are out on their feet long before the match finishes now, it is stupid.}
15 Dec 2025 15:10:06
All good posts Gazzi, DTP and Skegs! ??????.
15 Dec 2025 15:09:05
Yes, Rogie, I think he worked his sandals off yesterday mate…. ??.
