I'm hearing rumours we've re signed Sam Surridge? Anybody else heard this or is it a windup?
I thought he did well for us by the way.

Right now I'd take him over Taiwo and if Everton are serious about taking him off us its got to be win win.

There's talk linking us with De Zerbi. So long as it's not his much less successful Championship brother De Derbi. ????.

Paul Taylor of the Athletic says we are to be informed we are in breach of FFP tomorrow. He's not usually wrong. ???.

50 quid fine ?.

2.) 15 Jan 2024 12:12:55
Wrist slap, after appeal. ?.

3.) 15 Jan 2024 12:23:23
I d add quite a few noughts to that Skegs if I were you mate! And that’s if we are lucky. It’s loss of points that will kill us…….

4.) 16 Jan 2024 01:50:21
“The name of the club doesn't matter. Every club should be treated equally under the rules set out.

“But the elephant in the room isn't being addressed. 115 charges, zero action. Why? ”.

5.) 16 Jan 2024 09:32:22
There's a cult developing In this fanbase. Some fans am have fallen for the clueless and wreckless owners nonesense about ambition while breaking rules he voted to make last year at the long term expenses of the club. Thankgod for ffp to protect the long term future of clubs from bad ownership. Show some real ambition Instead of being nodding dogs to mariankiss, he sells anyone good buys a team for the money he gets and says that ambition, the ground was announced five years ago nothing, we are a laughing stock under him. Get these out while we're prem and hope for proper owners from USA or suadi.

6.) 16 Jan 2024 18:27:39
My nonsense-meter is twitching!

Owners take a calculated risk to stay in the Prem. Get accused of being wreckless when it works. Fans like being in the Prem are called members of a cult.

The solution: Get owners like the ones at Man United (Glazers? ) or Man city (109 charges and run a country where women celebrate being ALLOWED to drive in 2018),

Forstphil, what team do you support?

7.) 16 Jan 2024 22:23:12
Forestphil1234 - what a load of tosh!

I don't usually pay much credence to the comments of Jamie Carragher aka Spit the Punk Dog, but the NEP s reported conversation between him and SC is very interesting and worth a read. It's a good summation of SCs "nightmare"situation under Marinkinakos ( and presumably that situation will be continued under Nunez).
It would appear that SC had no idea of what players ( and in what numbers) would be arriving at the club, despite his oft repeated mantra that he, the owner and the recruitment team were all supposedly "reading off the same page"?
It might be a rare glimpse behind the scenes at our beloved club before the media gag is imposed as part of the terms of SCs payoff.

Tough to see SC go and we have to remain positive about Nuno. Did a great job with Wolves so just got to see how the City ground welcomes him saturday.

Transfers wise, realistically, we sell McKenna and Worrall unless they are given a chance by Nuno. I think we cancel the loans for Montiel, Tavares, santos and origi - they have offered us nothing all season.

Maybe sell Boly as he hates Nuno from their time at wolves and maybe sell Felipe due to injuries (hard for me to say this) but he's a strong leader in the group.

We sign Nino from Fluminense (centre half linked with) and get Omobamidele involved more with 1st team squad

The midfield is sound and we cover - Yates and Mangala start.

We buy another winger who has PL experience to compete with Hudson-Odoi and Elanga (Sancho on loan but doubt that will happen! ) and then we buy a striker. Maybe try and get the lad Serhou Guirassy from Stuttgart for 17.5m release clause but he may go elsewhere. Keep Wood as a last minute backup ready for Awoniyi.

2.) 21 Dec 2023 14:12:18
I don't get why we keep going on about players coming in are not the managers choice, it been like that for years now thier is not one manager out their that has control over the players that come in.

A manager years ago would go and scout the player themselves and go back to the owner or chairman and say who they wanted, however we don't have managers anymore they are HEAD COACH who are just told to train the players and its done to the director or football who we bring in, and it's also a lot to do with agents who in my opinion have spoilt the game.

3.) 21 Dec 2023 15:14:21
Lower BC, that’s why we willl never attract any great coaches. Can you imagine Klopp, Pep or Arteta putting up with the interference like SC has had to? Hence, the merry go round of new appointments.

4.) 21 Dec 2023 18:12:51
Do you really think they have that much say on who comes in aswell, good example kelvin Philips great prospect went to man city and has sat on the bench, he was not peps choice of player and it shows pep didn't want him, arteta never wanted ramesdale his first choice was alway raya.

We won't attract no big coach at the moment due to not finishing high enough in the league and no European football.

Who is a top class coach you would like to see though being our head coach, for me I would like Marco rose.

{Ed001's Note - neither of those examples are true, both Pep and Arteta have full control of recruitment.}

5.) 21 Dec 2023 19:40:32
Thought so Ed1. What’s the recruitment agreement at Liverpool with Klopp?

{Ed001's Note - he has final say.}

Dennis also I guess before Ayew. Though, as I say, none of those replacements have pulled any trees up this season . ?.

A very few points from the game last night, now that I’ve thawed out a bit……
It wasn’t pretty but sometimes desperate teams with little to offer have to stifle the opposition and hope for the best. Wolves did this, playing basically 5 4 1. They worked hard and we just had to be patient and scrap it out, particularly in midfield. To paraphrase Charlie Williams, they couldn’t play but they could stop those that could….
Jesus does well in the air despite his size. Finds a yard of space in the box and times his run and jump.

He did the same against Betis I think. A real handful with tremendous work rate and lots of courage to attack the ball against big defenders. I remember Cloughie getting excited back in the day about his lad scoring headed goals in a similar way.
3 points, a few more days to get the injured players recovered, we move on. Tough game away at Everton with little recovery time and reserves depleted. Just let’s keep our heads above water at this stage….

As the old saying goes
You can only beat what's put in front of you
Wolves fans have terrible owners that have allowed them to go from Europe to relegation certainties by sell, sell, sell and buy nothing to replace them
First half of tonight's game is poor and united have international players even on the subs bench
Liverpool let us play, wolves didn't.

2.) 04 Dec 2025 21:15:21
Wolves are the worst team in the league fact in fact they wouldn't make top 6 in championship and we struggled to beat the crap. and wolves maybe sell sell sell. but we have super edu to take us down edu out ?.

3.) 04 Dec 2025 21:34:48
Skeggs out
He's not a forest fan ???.

4.) 04 Dec 2025 22:07:36
We won't go down full stop, do stop praying we do.

5.) 05 Dec 2025 08:40:26
Good post DTP. My mate, a Wolves fan, is resigned to the drop already and extremely angry with the owners. He’s desperate for a Marinkinakos. He predicted Wolves in League 1 the season after next.

03 Dec 2025 17:24:56
I feel distinctly uneasy about tonight’s game, firstly because every dog ( or wolf) has his day and secondly because I will be obliged to sit with the home fans and therefore under severe self discipline and restraint……. it could be a long cold evening …….

1.) 03 Dec 2025 18:50:57
Stokey i share your pain having done the same at St James park earlier in the season. Remember once you forget and jump outta your seat when we score shout "offside! "?.
Think we'll be okay tonight, got it down as 1-2 on my acca. ?.

2.) 03 Dec 2025 18:07:47
Did that at Carrow Rd and Portman Rd during Championship times. Frustrating biting your lip and keeping still when scoring, or conversely, clapping gently when we conceded - with fractured smile across my face!
Hope it's bite your lip later.

3.) 03 Dec 2025 19:22:18
The Forest Fire will keep you warm mate! ???
3-1 Forest!

30 Nov 2025 22:02:12
Cant add much to what’s already been posted……
But let's keep things in perspective comrades
What did you expect? It’s good to be optimistic pre match but I’d rather be a realist and look at the facts.
They are 5th from the top and we are 5th from the bottom
They’ve had a full week to prepare, we had a game Thursday. This was our third game in 8 days. By the time we’ve played Everton it will be 5 games in 14 days, including two trips to Liverpool and one to Wolverhampton.
Squad rotation is severely hampered by a long list of injuries including key players such as Wood, Aina, Murillo and, by the end, MGW.

Brighton were at just about full strength and settled
As a PS, Morato is no Murillo.
Despite all this, I thought it had a draw written all over it, a proper arm wrestle and not a 2 nil. Frustrating definately, a foregone conclusion, ? Well not until our blunder at the end.
I wasn’t sure about the wisdom of risking Murillo on Thursday at the time but he was kept on for far too long when it was obvious Malmo were not a threat. We paid the price today, compounded by the fact that Hutchinson should have started imo.
We go again at wolves on Wednesday. Tough but winnable to get us back on track! COYR!

StokeyRed

1.) 30 Nov 2025 22:14:55
Have we been off track lately?
I must of missed the wins
All a bunch of twats.

2.) 30 Nov 2025 22:41:37
Really thought we would win today ?, it is proving that these Thursdays games are taking there toll, if we could get players back from injury would be a massive boost.

3.) 01 Dec 2025 05:43:25
That's not nice dtp ???.

4.) 01 Dec 2025 07:22:37
Clearly, I meant “back on track” after our defeat yesterday DTP. We were “on track” in the previous games after defeat at Bournemouth. I should perhaps have said “get back on the horse “at Wolves after falling off it yesterday? Jeez ……….

5.) 01 Dec 2025 09:39:14
And the annual Short Fuse award for picking a fight in a phone box goes to…… our very own Mr Angry …?????
By the way, DTP, as you have repeatedly declined my several invitations to clarify your remarks about me in your post of 28th November I will rest my case and conclude that you either don’t have the bottle or alternatively that you haven’t a clue as to what you are actually talking about…….

6.) 01 Dec 2025 09:57:40
Foul language, never complain about others again DTP!
And Stokey your correct on both accounts in that assumption. ?.

28 Nov 2025 13:08:43
I love a stat me! So, Yatesy has now scored his first European goal to add to his record of scoring in all top 5 divisions according to TNT. Also he has now scored on all 7 days of the week……. that’s fabulous research whoever did it! ??????
Also, I like Dyche’s pithy post match comment that he prefers to arrive at a club where the players are fit enough to perform the task not to use the task to get fit! What does that say about the previous regimes? It does explain why this season we have conceded a lot of goals late on ( West Ham for example) ….

StokeyRed

1.) 28 Nov 2025 14:37:13
Not rocket science stokey that's what happens when you buy a lot of players at the end of a transfer window.

2.) 29 Nov 2025 12:08:00
It’s an interesting theory Skegs and the late acquisitions got up Nunos nose as it gave him the same problems of assimilation as SC. However, the game against West Ham was the third round and the starting 11 had all been here last season and I believe, of the 3 subs, Jesus had a full pre season?

28 Nov 2025 11:22:40
Super Kali was ballistic but Malmo were atrocious….
Is that a fair summary of last nights game or do I sound precocious? ?

Seriously, I thought Malmo set out from the off in damage limitation mode. Played effectively packing bodies in their own half. Difficult to play against like when England play Andorra. Always going to be a win, just whether it’s 3 or7 or 8. Defence v attack and shooting practice.
You can only play what’s in front of you and i'd put Malmo lower Championship level at best. A very professional performance by Forest and a good outing for Abott, the unemployed Victor, Kalimuendo especially, CHO and SD got the young lad Sinclair on the pitch which will be a boost to him and the Academy generally.
Just hope Murillo, our excellent left back, is OK? ??.

I’d imagine Man City will insert a buy back clause Mossy to prevent a re occurrence of the Cole Palmer miscalculation. In other words we get the lad cheap but become a nursery club for the big boys. That’s just the way it is mate ….

I think Ed 1 would perhaps agree that there are several greats at Liverpool who might be fading fast ……. who would you single out?

StokeyRed

{Ed001's Note - van Dijk. He has been terrible for large parts of the season. Admittedly not helped by playing alongside the hapless Konate, but he is meant to be the captain and is failing in that role badly.}

Cyclist, interesting post but I’m reminded of the great architect Corbusier getting a complaint from one of his students that he wasn’t allowing him any scope to express himself. Corbusier invited him to the front of the class and asked him to write his name in chalk on the blackboard.

Puzzled, the student did so. Corbusier then said “OK, that’s enough self expression. Go and sit back down and let’s get on with the basics ……. ”
I think Dyche is getting back to basics and building something monumental but in increments ….
