I really hope not 2 star.

2.) 03 Oct 2025 21:07:20
Rather have him than many of the others, at least he knows the club, players and league. ?.

3.) 03 Oct 2025 21:09:59
Dyche got a lot going for him, he, ll be cheap, lives in Nottm, no need posh accommodation.
Desperate enough for a job to put up with M and Edu.
His dour brand would probably save us from relegation , don’t get me wrong, nice enough bloke but his cat and mouse football is a notch below Nuno, s, more cynical.
Going to be a difficult berth for anyone.

4.) 03 Oct 2025 21:19:40
To be fair on him Carlo has he ever been given the tools to play a better brand of football? If he can get us back to being solid and with the talent we have going in the other direction could make sense. ?.

5.) 03 Oct 2025 21:25:20
No one else will want it.

6.) 03 Oct 2025 21:50:49
Just read about your Dad Skeggs.
What can I say mate, I hope yous have the best of times from now on.
God Bless.

7.) 03 Oct 2025 22:44:58
Could be just what we need, because we need to steady the boat or it's the championship for us. He knows how to get players together and working as one, yes he had his faults but so have all our coaches. but what ever happens it needs to happen soon, Newcastle are muddying the water already saying Anderson is back on their radar in January. If it's not sorted then our players will be cherry picked one by one. i couldn't care less about the Europa League prem league survival had to come first.

8.) 04 Oct 2025 03:37:49
Your right Red Vale, if Postecoglou or a new coach doesn't get a winner formula with these players and all they see is a regulation scrap, there will be an exodus of the best players leaving.

Troubling times now, I get the fans anger but we might regret publicly shaming his decision to appoint AP, not needed he will know with out the fans telling him.
If he receives that as a criticism of his ownership he might think, right ya know what! Remember Bolton? Portsmouth? Let’s be Honest plenty of fans wanted Nuno out, plenty thought we could and should have better. Genuinely, I’d have been happy to survive for a few more seasons yet. Make no mistake, we really are in trouble.

Mr Marinakis does listen to advice from who he considers experts, we was really interested in Glazner until Mendes recommended his client Nuno, that worked out until Edu arrived and got Mr Marinakis ear and bypassing Nuno and more importantly Mendes influence has now gone!.

2.) 03 Oct 2025 16:13:17
All the gems like Carvalho we won't get. Damn!

Worst managerial change since Birmingham brought Rooney in.

Mr. M needs to have a long hard look at himself and his ego. He should never have sacked Nuno.

2.) 27 Sep 2025 19:42:01
Horrendous, get rid quick. I bet West Ham are lapping it up.

3.) 27 Sep 2025 20:32:43
Not as much as palace fans will be - it’ll be seen as justice for them.

2 words ange football lol.

14 Sep 2025 15:59:22
Guys, we had a highest place finish in God knows high long last season, can someone explain to me why the close season wasn’t about collaborations with Nuno to build on it. I get it’s been and done now but I just don’t understand what’s happened here?

When Mr M stuck with Coops in autumn 2022 he said there is no point changing the coach unless you feel there is a better coach available. Has he changed his opinion on that?

1.) 14 Sep 2025 16:05:31
No mate. He was just as bored as we all are watching low block football.

2.) 14 Sep 2025 16:21:36
2 star, I think nuno gave marinakis little choice, this form is just a carry on results wise from last season
I believe marinakis was angry with the home results against, brentford, fester and Everton, that cost us champions league and yet still gave nuno a new contract, but nuno still chose to speak out and that was the final straw
I also believe we couldn't sign anyone before July because of psr
Then we had the problem of not knowing what league we would play in Europe, thus the late influx of players
It's early days and not time to get downhearted yet, let's see what ange can do and the new players along side the old first before writing the season off
My belief is we couldn't sign anyone.

3.) 14 Sep 2025 16:26:48
Be Careful what you wish for.

4.) 14 Sep 2025 16:56:05
It worked Larry.

5.) 14 Sep 2025 17:02:22
Yes we will see plenty of goals and excitement leading to championship football.

6.) 14 Sep 2025 17:05:19
It did till last 8 games when coaches learned to let us have the ball and sit Deep themselves
West ham another prime example
That's where someone like sangare is a passenger as he's not needed.

7.) 14 Sep 2025 17:05:36
All guesswork Downthepub just like you saying Sangare wouldn't start against Arsenal yet he did.

8.) 14 Sep 2025 17:07:38
That looks about the perfect assement of the situation dtp. Good post.

9.) 14 Sep 2025 17:12:38
Villa have a settled squad and a few new signings, so why are they struggling?
Has emery become a bad coach suddenly or lost interest?
Football can change so quickly at a club
Someone said we won't face a worst side than brentford?
Well that prediction is looking way off.

10.) 14 Sep 2025 17:15:23
As dtp said though silkman, it didn't work at the end of last season or against a poor west ham side, even yesterday was nunoball.
Marinakas publicly stated he wants attacking attractive football mate.

11.) 14 Sep 2025 17:16:12
I doubt sangare will start again Fred and you told me how good he is.

12.) 14 Sep 2025 18:10:24
I'm not advocating whether Sangare should Start or not but let's put a bit of perspective on it.
He was motm against Chelsea in our last game of season. Had a good game against Brentford and even you admitted it!
We lose to West Ham and it's all down to him lol.
Three professional managers in Cooper, Nuno and Ange have all started him so in effect what you (and others) are saying is that you know better lol. Now just let that sink in for a moment.
If you think our recent problems are solely down to Sangare then your not watching the same games as me.

13.) 14 Sep 2025 18:29:44
Good honest posts DTP.

14.) 14 Sep 2025 19:03:18
Fred mom or whatever the result was a loss mate
And that has happened in most the games he's played in he's not a good fit for us.

15.) 14 Sep 2025 19:16:16
That's like a school report, Arizona.

16.) 14 Sep 2025 19:21:09
Ouch my shirt tails are holding me back silkworm ???.

17.) 14 Sep 2025 21:01:27
Great usual post red fred.

18.) 14 Sep 2025 21:58:34
Good post redfred but with nuno gone somebody else must get the blame. for me though never rated sangare and never wanted us to buy him.

Ripley, you’re spot on mate, nothing wrong with being realistic, to the optimist realism will alway be dismissed as pessimism. There is of course every chance we might find a player who’s lost there way and needs a springboard. Players that are fancied by a range of bigger clubs are unlikely to chose Forest I would say.

Skeg, do we need a poll for that? Even those that won’t concede it and felt Nuno could be bettered will deep down regret thinking it was a good plan. Let’s be honest though Nuno was done when big M stormed the pitch against festa, the lie the club posted as to the reasons was of course a lie.

Forest have a history of this, Doughty (God rest his soul) backing Arthur over King Billy, probably the worst decision on the clubs history bringing in SM

Mcleish for SOD - equally as poor.

This one is right up there though. Great thing is Big M won’t tolerate this for much longer, he’s made a mistake but won’t sit back and do nothing as we incur defeat, after defeat conceding goal after goal after goal.

Currently though, there won’t be a long list of suitors, we will first and foremost need to stop conceding goals = Dyche incoming, wouldn’t be surprised if he’s on a retainer already. He’ll be dying to take the job. This whole scenario is just such a backwards step for the club in so many levels - after so much progress had been made.

Sound by me as long as we stop conceding goals and makes us compete that’s good enough.

The goals are hardly flying in though are they? It’s a horrible watch and now any team knows they are guaranteed to score a set piece against us. We thought we’d brought a Rolls Royce but it seems we haven’t. It’s likely the players are ok and may do better under a different coach but this guy is taking us to the abyss.
