Everything gone quiet on the McGuane front - was that all nonsense in the first place?

1.) 03 Feb 2020 18:03:24
No it wasn't.

2.) 03 Feb 2020 18:47:49
Another with very slow handwriting then.

3.) 03 Feb 2020 20:05:41
Read today that is should be confirmed tomorrow (Tuesday) .

It was a complex deal, what with him being on loan in Holland and the Dutch side requiring some form of compo.

4.) 05 Feb 2020 21:08:16
Has this not happened?
Not heard anything.

5.) 06 Feb 2020 03:00:26
He would only be going into the academy by all accounts so nothing to get excited about spacecat.

Adomah gone to Cardiff on loan. I'm more of a happy bunny now.

bsered

1.) 01 Feb 2020 02:21:58
Albert gone was expecting a lot more from him didn't produce simple walker back deserve's a go proven now at league one and I'm sure given a good run will be good enough for championship as back up for grabbs Watson would be a massive loss if he got injured or bookings but sow good cover and may produce a little bit more attacking style with players we have to catch teams out to expand on how game instead off off just counter attacking.

2.) 01 Feb 2020 10:16:34
Is Semedo still injured?

31 Jan 2020 21:52:31
Bridcutt to Lincoln on loan.

Bong in and Chema out by the looks of it. Wonder if Bong is better on the overlap?

bsered

1.) 30 Jan 2020 14:31:31
What i saw about him is he reads the game well and is a good passer.

2.) 30 Jan 2020 17:43:44
Let’s hope it’s not a Bong-kers decision 😂.

3.) 31 Jan 2020 05:03:30
If I learned anything from my uni days it’s that you always need a reliable Bong.

29 Jan 2020 19:18:07
Costa has signed for us. Looking at his history I have to say I'm a bit underwhelmed, but hoping for some improvement on Mir.

bsered

1.) 29 Jan 2020 19:34:07
Bsred. he has a cracking record!
Do not announce promotion.

2.) 29 Jan 2020 19:40:17
1 in 3 (ish) goal to game ratio. About £1.8m. Fair enough tbh.

3.) 29 Jan 2020 19:50:19
Shall we let him kick a ball first, lolley was written off too not to mention samba let SL work his magic again.

4.) 29 Jan 2020 20:28:10
Erm. no!

5.) 29 Jan 2020 20:57:16
2 goals in 20 games, a step up from mirror I suppose, let's get Wells to.

6.) 29 Jan 2020 21:06:54
Shurrup Fawaz.

7.) 29 Jan 2020 21:08:30
17 goals in 87 matches. I goal every 5 games? Hey, but let's give him a crack at the Championship, he's tall, could be fast, and given Lamouchi's talents he could make something special out of him.

8.) 29 Jan 2020 21:31:31
Rick. Shurrap. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 you mean shut up! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.

At long last VAR regarding the ridiculous new Offside Law looks like it will change. Arsene Wenger who is in the FIFA Hierarchy is proposing:
“There is room to change the rule and not say that a part of a player’s nose is offside, so you are offside because you can score with that. Instead, you will be not be offside if any part of the body that can score a goal is in line with the last defender, even if other parts of the attacker’s body are in front.

“That will sort it out and you will no longer have decisions about millimetres and a fraction of the attacker being in front of the defensive line.”

bsered

1.) 19 Feb 2020 10:06:59
Sounds like a fair rule and gives a bit more of an advantage to the attacker, which I agree with.

2.) 19 Feb 2020 14:19:22
Has anyone seen "Richard Hammond's Big" series?
Just saw the one a out Spurs Stadium. absolutely incredible!
The transformation from a football stadium, to a American Football Stadium is stunning.
They can move the whole football pitch out, to reveal an American Football Pitch!
A brewery that can produce
10,000 pints a minute on match days!
(You listening Skeggs? )
The list is endless.
Phenomenal!

3.) 19 Feb 2020 20:05:07
I notice that disgrace of a referee keith stroud has been made for the saints v villa game you couldn't make this up he should be down vic embankment instead.

4.) 19 Feb 2020 20:57:09
Ark at you and the way it's going we'll need one, not much embankment left😂😂.

17 Feb 2020 15:13:41
We seem to be signing youngsters for the U18/U23 teams every month now. Wonder if there's a message in that?

bsered

1.) 17 Feb 2020 15:36:45
I think it means prince billy won’t be our next manager 🤷🏻‍♂️.

2.) 17 Feb 2020 15:52:18
UUUHHHH i don't fink so brian. Just a wild guess and could be wrong here but it could be we're building for the future. Just joking but its always a good idea to get good young players and fingers crossed will be good for the next few years.

3.) 17 Feb 2020 16:13:49
I think they are trying to follow the Brentford model. Will Brexit be a problem eventually when signing players from the continent.

4.) 17 Feb 2020 16:29:45
Including the players on loan Forest have a under 23 squad of 26 players.

5.) 17 Feb 2020 16:57:24
Im gutted 2tone no 3rd coming i bet your gutted as well billy davies the manager.

6.) 17 Feb 2020 20:57:20
Just been reading the revised plans for the Peter Taylor Stand. The original plans infringed the rowing clubs and having spoke to some of the rowing club members they have concerns over our expansion. The rowing clubs have been their longer than the City Ground and myself l hope that they are left alone . I have an interest myself as l was a member of one of them, Britannia.

7.) 18 Feb 2020 22:52:54
Skeggs I've forgotten what second coming is, never mind the third? 🤣🤣🤣.

17 Feb 2020 14:09:00
There was a young lad called McGuane
Who was wanted to play his best game
But he never got near
The City Ground here
And no-one knows who was to blame.

Has Craig Ramage put another nail in the Direby coffin?

1.) 17 Feb 2020 07:50:26
Hope so, what a cretin he is, he came on radio Nottingham to say he’d have bogle over matty cash anytime at right back lol, yep that’s the bogle that gives a a goal away every week,

2.) 17 Feb 2020 07:52:32
Wow just seen what he said, he’s a bigger moron than I thought!

3.) 17 Feb 2020 09:03:03
Ive just read it too. wow, what a 42 carat person.

4.) 17 Feb 2020 10:32:08
Dont know i put person. i meant person.

{Ed001's Note - it must be the swear filter. It is a pain, it only changes some words and then only when it feels like it! It is supposed to be switched off but it has decided that it will still step in occasionally.}

5.) 17 Feb 2020 10:55:14
Curses!

6.) 17 Feb 2020 10:57:49
Ed001: unlike some refs who never step in whether needed or not!

{Ed001's Note - good point.}

7.) 17 Feb 2020 15:36:18
It was meant to say the five letter word starting with i and ending in t.

8.) 17 Feb 2020 21:14:06
I'd like to give input but I feel inept.

Seems like we also have an unsung hero in Ameobi. There were those on here who were underwhelmed when he came in during the summer, and several thought he wasted the ball a lot, but this last few months he has developed really well, and his part in the last games V Leeds and WBA should persuade people he is a vital part of the team. I still have to be convinced that Diakhaby can replace him effectively though.

bsered

1.) 16 Feb 2020 18:38:23
I will say this I’m no ameobi fan and he’s done well to get 6 assist this season. but christ he’s so annoying. looks like a proper player for 5 mins then a donkey the next. iv never seen a player be good and bad this many times in a game. what summed him up was when silva/ lolley passed a ball that had a little too much on it and he just turned and moaned, lolley would of chased it down as it went into loads of space.

2.) 17 Feb 2020 12:12:15
I think it takes the likes of Diakhanby to come here to remind you how effective Ameobi is.

3.) 17 Feb 2020 14:00:34
With a ball zipping past you in that rain and wind at WBA it might be better to conserve energy. Ps when Stanley Matthews had a ball aimed at him head height he used to duck and then turn to the crowd and hold his hands up shrugging his shoulders. It got a laugh and he wasted the ball.

4.) 17 Feb 2020 20:24:38
I was the same as Stanley matthews😁
No way was I heading that ball, the laces came keen and the leather ball was rock hard.

5.) 17 Feb 2020 20:58:54
Fff79 hey mate my guess is Stanley was slightly better than you! 😄.

6.) 17 Feb 2020 21:28:10
You got that right mate.
Even at my age he was too old for me to have seen in live football.
Can always remember turning up for fairham and I was the only kid who had steel toe capped football boots, I kid you not on that, we had little spare money and they belonged to my elder brother and with three pairs of thick socks fitted perfect.
Didnt worry about tackling😁😁.
