That was a decent game yesterday and really huge in that Forest defied all the odds as they did against West Ham and Arsenal. A truly battling performance with some tidy football. The back four were simply outstanding and Murillo a class above. Will Forest have the will power to hold on to him. I would imagine offers of around £100mil will be the lever. He's that good.
Its truly amazing how we have total ineptness up front most of the season, we invest in what looks like the answer in Lucca, then those 2 bang in class goals.
Nicer problem to have. Sels again showed his desire and ability to keep a clean sheet, so reliable and gave us the springboard yesterday. I know many on here still see Dyche as a dynasaur but I like him, he has a decent football brain and he's not had wood to capitalise on forward situations. Despite yesterday's cameo by Jaysoose and awoniyi I would put Lucca straight in as his presence will be to the benefit of the team. He can head a ball has quick feet and from aina and odoi will have the ammo.

Good post Rutland.
2.) 26 Jan 2026 14:02:35
He's my favourite player Murrilo, fast, strong as an Ox. some Derby fan said he was "Bang Average! "
???
If that's him being bang average, then I simply cannot wait to see him. at his peak!
3.) 26 Jan 2026 15:18:46
Rogie, posted on BBC HYS that Murillo limps around the box, ( watch him), but soon as there's danger he pounces like a Cheetah, brilliant player, and seems a real nice lad, deserves all the praise.

I saw a gutless abject passionless performance today. A team with too many bang average players who sadly seem uninterested in playing for the boss. Is it down to no confidence in each other or disinterest. Clearly at least 5 of those in tge starting line up are woefully short at this level. Villa looked like they had 15 men on the pitch, that's how drilled and hard working they were. We cannot persist with the hapless jayzeus up front, I'd bring Moratto in and put murrilo up top. At least he is strong and can get a shot off.
Yes we are missing Sangare but Anderson should step up. Does his expression ever change? Villa did the simple things well, of course it's easier for the home team but we were literally all over tge shop. Redknapp pointed out the obvious in Anderson being a ball chaser, and it cost us. Why was sels ever dropped. Victor just proved that he is a calamity. Ah well I hear that we are going to be quiet in the window that's a shame as at least 10 need shipping out!
1.) 03 Jan 2026 17:21:40
Put murillo up front?
Morata in defence?
Sorry Rutland but ??????????????????.
2.) 03 Jan 2026 17:51:16
Whst does jaysus bring to the PARTY DTP?
ITS A TONGUE IN CHEEK statement.
3.) 03 Jan 2026 18:05:44
It's a long winded one Rutland
He's not a hold up striker and needs the ball to feet and at least one player within 20 yards to pass to
Dyche is the problem.
4.) 03 Jan 2026 18:11:51
Bread and Wine mate!
????.
5.) 03 Jan 2026 18:14:33
Brilliant rogie ????.
6.) 03 Jan 2026 19:39:45
Don't worry Rutters Dtp had a sense of humour by- pass operation a few years ago ?.
7.) 03 Jan 2026 20:07:10
Abd your jyst waiting for the nurse to tuck you in larry ??.
8.) 03 Jan 2026 20:15:58
Sels is just coming back from a finger injury and a hamstring. He wasn't dropped.

Some great posts on here particularly goldstars and stokey.
My take on tge last few games has been the lack of penetration from centre midfield. Its all sideways and back wards from Anderson and mgw. With the wingers and fullback deployed on the opposite to their norm it was predictable and turgid.
Everton hurt us straight through the centre, as most teams do. Jesus simply cannot play the role of hold up or wall passes. Thus doesn't help. He can't score and can't head, Easily brushed off the ball. I've tried to make a case for MGW being injured etc but his contribution is a negative one.
Anderson way to deep. As for set pieces, shocking. Why does murrilo not get the chance with free kicks? Our corners and delivery are woeful, these look like we never practice in training. Its looking like the squad is weak, it shouldn't be but it is. Without midfielders prepared to shoot and get beyond the striker we are struggling. Getting it wide is a waste of time. We have a diamond in omari Hutchinson, but we need to have better options for him in the final third. But it's the lack of sting, creativity and I hate to say it, scoring ability in CM that is costing us.
1.) 31 Dec 2025 19:23:40
Just about spot on with your observations Rutland. Without Gibbs-White though we would be in more trouble. He does get involved in much of the play and has scored some important goals this season.
23 Dec 2025 08:31:04
Well I am baffled by the negativity about lastnight. Defensively we were solid and just lacked that final ball and composure in and around their box. Louis was tidy and needs more game time. Williams is the driver but looks better on the left.
Mgw is not fit that was evident again. That was a weak penalty given by a poor ref. Not enough contact to go down like that. Our keeper had nothing to do all night and murrilo was fantastic. He should take all our free kicks and is so quick to get shots off it embarrassed our attackers.
Over all we displayed good shape knocked the ball about well. Louis corners were on the whole well delivered. My negative thoughts were the subs. Awoniyi is still crap. Looks like he has 3 left feet and the touch of donkey. Mcatee is lightweight and lost at this level. The other 2 ineffectual as per. On these issues Dyche will have learned. I keep hoping that Jesus will come good but for all his effort he has little threat or presence up top. Sangare a big miss for sure but we need a boost in tge striker department.
1.) 23 Dec 2025 09:18:10
My questions are Rutland who watched McAtee before we signed him? Why was he signed? Who is accountable for the £30M we paid for him? I've watched him a few times at the Etihad as a guest and in the England U21s and I could see he was rubbish. Who has dropped this clanger? This is money that could have been used on a good striker.
2.) 23 Dec 2025 09:26:02
I don’t agree with a lot of that Rutland. Our passing was dreadful. How may times did we fire the ball out? Or fire it so hard that the intended payer either missed it or their first touch was dreadful.
MGW can go in January. He’s been so far off the pace it beggars belief. Williams has been shocking in the last 3 games; his problem is he cannot usually beat the first man when he puts on a cross.
Anderson is clearly running on empty already. Another who’s been dreadful the last couple or so games. I didn’t recognise the player on the pitch last night.
MaCatee needs binning. Can’t even beat his man most of the time 1 to 1.
Jesus is a decent player but apart from Hutchison, where was the service?
Savona was dreadful. Whilst I am actually convinced there is a good player in there, he is very naive too often. Dyche should have hooked him at half time; time and time again, especially evident last night, he was in the middle of the pitch, leaving his flank massively exposed, and CHO (dreadful last night) was filling in for tje lad.
3.) 23 Dec 2025 10:37:34
Rutland mate, I that was a Stonewall penalty,
He actually tries to get him at the second attempt. then realises what he's done.
Poor performances all round.
4.) 23 Dec 2025 10:55:17
McAtee should be put up for sale or offered out as a potential swap deal. Read that Dyche has upped his interest in James Garner with a potential move next week. We need a proper fullback and a centre forward.
As much as i like Jesus he can't do it all alone. Wood looks finished imo as does Taiwo unfortunately, both great individuals for us in the past but the past is the past. Time for Mr M to show his ruthless streak again. ?.
5.) 23 Dec 2025 11:41:23
It's that cynical side again. Here it comes: After the Spurs game some of us said that we wouldn't repeat that level of performance against Fulham and that we seem to show our 'best side' when we play a top six team. Where has this 'over hitting passes', come from?
Lo! We are playing one of these teams on Saturday! All change again then! We'll see. Anyway, back to the shopping. 12lb Norfolk Bronze to pick up in the morning. Have a really good one folks.
6.) 23 Dec 2025 13:07:22
You too mate.
7.) 23 Dec 2025 15:54:29
I wish Sean Dyche would play someone along side Jesus like Kalimuendo or Ndoye to take the pressure of him, Sean should learn from how he played Calvin Lewin at Everton, some players can't hold up play and wait for re-enforcements and get knocked from pillar to post!, bringing Awoniyi on last night to do the same job, makes you wonder if Sean can adapt his tactics, during a game?.
15 Dec 2025 10:42:24
Not posted much recently but read on here everyday. I've re-registered on my phone so I'll be posting a bit more again. Yesterday was more about how well we played rather than how poor spurs were IMHO. I can honestly say that to a man every Forest player was outstanding. The only player that was below par was MGW but he never gave up and gave it everything. I think he is carrying an injury. A special mention to Sangare, he is blossoming under Dyche. His support to the front line is as good as his protection of the back.
He looks fitter and a lot happier. And for all the work on the ball Anderson is majestic off it.
We have a player in Jesus and the goals will come his hold up play and vision only complement his tireless work rate. I've always admired Sean Dyche, met him when he was a player. The fact he has two attack minded lieutenants in forest legends woan and stone has without doubt changed the mindset of the midfield. But in truth is there a better back 4 in this league?
1.) 15 Dec 2025 13:07:35
We have "A friend in Jesus " too mate!
???.
2.) 15 Dec 2025 15:09:05
Yes, Rogie, I think he worked his sandals off yesterday mate…. ??.
3.) 15 Dec 2025 21:08:48

Ah Bowie my point is those 3 were and are class acts, jayzoos works hard but with his Ltd ability needs a bit of pace to be threatening. Sheringham was superb even in tge air. I'm not just being argumentative I'm stating a valid point. Its tge same with Dan andoy. No pace leaves him wanting.
02 Feb 2026 13:17:37
Not a comparison I'm afraid Rogie.
02 Feb 2026 08:59:33
Agree Lego. My only critiscm would be that JAYZOOS comes back to defend corners and is clueless in that area. We also still lack any cutting edge ourselves with our corners and free kicks.
02 Feb 2026 08:53:14
Well said Fred. HDO is useless down the right and Domingues has no pace at all. And that's the reason Jayzoos struggles to score prem goals his lack of pace stops him getting that extra yard to get on the end of things or get clear of his man. Probably the reason why we didn't get a 2nd goal in the first half.
Williams stupidity cost Dyche the luxury of being able to utilise players like Lucca. Players wearing gloves is so efimnate, and it's not natural to stick your hand up even on the goal line. Ban gloves and man up.
29 Jan 2026 12:01:52
Mateta hopefully won't becoming to us. He'll be off to spurs. I'm hoping that Dyche puts Lucca straight in. He will suit the way we play better than JAYSUS or Awoniyi. I believe wood will get fit and play before end of season so hopefully we won't need mataeta.
