By the way Legless I know you thought I'd need Kevlar as well as my tin hat and Gazzi you suggested I should book a holiday to Cloud Cuckoo land rather than Corfu with my predictions on the run in but have a look my friends.
Predicted Forest 2 Chelsea 3
Predicted West Ham 2 Luton 1 ( actually 3 v 1)
Predicted Spurs 3 Burnley 1 (2 v 1)
Said the defeat yesterday wouldn't matter and we be in the Trent with Yatesy, pis"ed. Actually it didn't matter but the crowd leaving the WFCG afterwards was very subdued and entirely sober. Actually swimming in the Trent is not recommended as, according to one of my ex colleagues, a diver, the currents around Trent Bridge are very, very hazardous. ⚠️
I said Burnley would already be relegated by the time we played them without them getting another point. So they are relegated but got a point 1 v 1 against Man Utd with a late Obana fluff!
I think we will beat demoralised Burnley anyway but just to put you fully in the picture comrades if Luton claw back the 12 goals by some miracle ( so much so that the Betting authorities would definately be investigating) they actually need 13. If it's 12 each it goes to goals scored (Luton 50 atm Forest 47) then head to head ( 2 draws) then away goals ( Luton 2 Forest 1). I am pretty confident that my prediction of comfortable survival will be right.
The only thing I got wrong was I believed we'd get 2 points at least back from our FFP appeal. can't think how I got this one wrong😳😳🤔🤔
I'll do an end of season wish list and commentary a week tomorrow if I'm still here and my ticker hasn't packed up already with the stress this campaign has caused me! 🙄😅😅.

Caused me no stress stokey my friend, i expected it. Football should be an enjoyment not a predictable farce. I swear reds. I've come off here with a tear now and then. And that's only because i care about the game. And it's wrongdoings. You want the young you take to games to enjoy it. Through passion not fashion. A fashion of money, arabs, and corruption. F kn swear i just cannot see a way forward for us. More and more like Scottish sh1te. League. Luv the sounds that WFCG AND OUR AWAY FANS GIVE. Keeps me sane. X.

As usual a few brief thoughts about yesterday's game.
I didn't understand the subs either comrades. It was a hot day and Yates put a shift in as usual but Nuno also rearranged his defence which looked fairly comfortable. I can only assume it was a response to Pochs subs about 15 minutes earlier. But it didn't work this time. I not sure if those hi tech vests they wear give physio or exertion data live or can only be downloaded after the match. Perhaps Yates was injured or knackered? I don't think so thoughAt the end of the day, it was a free hit with only the possibility of damage to our goal difference which didn't happen. I feared they could score 6 like against Everton or 5 like they did against West Ham. But we matched them until the crazy last ten to 15 minutes while our subs caused disruption and none of them could match £45 million Sterling or England international James. Mudryk at £90 million just shows how disadvantaged we are. I reckon we did very well against a team 4 or 5 times our value.
Disappointed with how it panned out but we lost the battle but will win the war!
Coyr!

Don't think we'd get much for Sangare if we were to try and sell him. He'll probably end up being shipped out on loan several times still being paid by us, earning good money from us until his contract is up. We've got a few like that, just think we thought we had it bad in the championship when we paid 13 million for Carvalhio, geez 😳.

The Nuno question is a big one. The only reason we are limping over the line is due to the frailties of three other teams. Three other teams with less budget who haven’t spent hundreds of millions on players. Yes hundreds of millions.
Does Big M pull the trigger? And if he does, who would come, and more importantly would they do any better than 5 wins out of 24?
It was time for cooper to go. But when I heard it was Nuno I was gobsmacked. So that’s the question and I think it’s worth a poll? Can one of the Eds do a poll Nuno stay or Nuno sacked?

12 May 2024 18:47:47
Keep Nuno. He came straight into a relegation fight. Albeit with half a season to go but its going to change your approach. He lost key players on international duty and has been without his main striker for most of his tenure. Then just in recent weeks we've binned 3 or 4 points on dreadful finishing and Origi not squaring it. Sorry, but I'm still not over that! Another 2 or 3 points on shameful refereeing and VAR and let's not forget the 4 point deduction.
So I'm for starting season from an equal points situation, with Nuno in charge, a few good signings and let's see how we go. Or take a chance on a manager who will have invariably been sacked from his last job?

Brilliant post WhoKnows mate. He was handed a crock full of 💩💩💩💩by our hierarchy ( recruitment, no AFCON planning, FFP ) as was Cooper but looks overwhelmingly likely to keep us in the Prem despite Mr M not because of him.
Ok I know Mr M is ambitious and put the money up but, as it says in the King James Bible (Greek Orthodox version ) “The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. Blessed be the name of the Lord” 😂😂🤔🙄.

Who's your keepers for next season boys.
Sels. Done well, unfairly criticised.
MGW. O. K. but not as good as people try to make out. Likes playing for nuno though so there's hope.
Aina, Class with more to come
Elanga. More to come, Great prospect
CHO Absolute class player of the season
Morillo, saved him till last. Love him to bits but a lot to learn. All over the place for Chelsea goals All the talk of a top 6 transfer is rubbish. No where near good enough. Still learning his trade. If he could head like Burns and Lloyd the yes.
Bin the rest off from top to bottom 🎈.

Domingues, Yates for the rough and tumble games but not all games. Toffolo as a sub but again same reasons as Yates. Awoniyi if he wasn't made of glass. Yeah struggle to think of many of the 40 odd players who are keepers to be honest. Talking of which anybody know how Aguilera got on in his loan spell.

Now this terrible season draws to close.
Do we keep Nuno 5 league wins out of 24.
Having had more problems to deal with since he came here.
Do we give him a pre season to see if he can built a side capable of finishing in a decent position for a change. That is the million dollar question. Only one person knows that.
Let's all go on our hols and then start looking forward to next season. let's all keep the faith COYR
Have a lovely summer you Reds.

There is no doubt we will be next seasons favourites for relegation. I don’t honestly know how we are going to change for the better as a side. Everton are streets ahead of us as are Leicester. Wood I don’t think has been offered or should be a new contract as there was probably no man or woman in the ground over 29, 000 that thought they would have missed the goal from less than 2 yds. Tiawo in a whole season has been blighted by injury, he cannot be relied on. So a new striker is required. Logic - which there is a paucity of - tells you to send scouts to look at all the top
3 strikers in the other major Uk leagues. Our problem is which striker would ever come to a club likely to be relegated, maybe why so many players are imports. So only ‘Nono ‘ can turn this club around. When we are at the bottom of the league come Sept he will be gone, and I will say come back SC.

Must haves for next season

1. GK preferably Sam Johnstone
2. CF I'd go for Cameron Archer
3. DM
4. LB

If we keep MGW and Murrilo that's all we need imo

As for Nuno I'd give him the pre season and see where we are at the end of September with 8 games gone.

Munmad, I was very cross last night and have had the chance to sober up and reflect.

No point sacking Nuno, football has been good to watch :

1. It’s not his fault we have 13 decent players
2. It’s not his fault we don’t take chances
3. It’s not has fault at least 10% of those players are either injured or at a football tournament.
4. It’s not his fault we have a pathetic transfer policy

Mr M, if you repeat the same stupid scattergun approach to signings as you have for the last 7 seasons forget any plans you have for us. Please sort this out and give a coach a chance to build. If you sack Nuno it’s Groundhog Day and another scattergun summer. You’re a very clever man but a goldfish would learn quicker.

No that's true 2 stars you could say both Nuno and Cooper were dealt cack cards. But Nuno is a wet fish, very uninspiring. I speak to Wolves fans here in the West mids and as much as they liked Nuno they said he got lucky with the players he had and wouldn't have him back. Personally with Cooper I just think it got too much for him with the influx of players, all the other shenanigans going on at the club, you could tell in his body language. Now give Nuno the proper tools without interference and he may do OK but I just don't see it. I also don't think Marinkissmyarse will change his ways so whoever is the coach will inherit the same issues. So next season whether they would stay or not it looks likely we will sell good players because we overspent, so you now got to replace those players with equal or better. That's 2 seasons of uncertainty because our owners went nuts with the cash, even after being warned from within and outside the club.

I enjoyed a lovely afternoon at the boat club yesterday, the main topic was how much does forest have to find to escape more points next season. Most fans thought it was around 35 mil. If that’s the case then surely we could get rid of some fringe players without selling MGW MURILLO, with the exception of woods the team yesterday put a shift in and yes the substitutions were the undoing for us. Wood should have gone at half time. Have we progressed this season, I don’t know. As my old school reports used to say SHOULD HAVE DONE BETTER.

Don't allow the African players to play a month long tournament in January/ February. That'll give us 5/ 6 players back. Or don't sign so many African players. I'm sure that is racist is some way but hey-ho.

Agree3 0Disagree

12 May 2024 14:37:04
It's not racist at all D3rby. It's fact. Big mistake signing so many. It's not as though they are cheap either. Sangare how much?

Agree4 0Disagree

12 May 2024 14:44:08
No it’s discriminatory by the epl mate as I’m sure some African players miss out on being signed, it’s also unfair to clubs like forest who have to sign African players to have a a chance of competing.

Agree1 0Disagree

12 May 2024 14:47:28
Red, I agree, but let’s be honest it’s ridiculous that we collapse when we bring a player off who we know maybe isn’t the highest calibre yet we have a 35mullion quid signing who we won’t even bring on because he’s that s***. That one thing alone tells you all that is wrong with us. Should have been Yates coming on for sangare tell help us manage the game out, not Yates coming off because he’s ran himself into the ground because that t*** is too w***k to even be considered.
