Pablo Maffeo? Argentinian right back from Mallorca. £5M? Done deal or more media BS?
1.) 29 Jun 2025 14:45:41
He seems keen to come to Forest, but I wouldn't discount Omar Richards, he had a decent season at Rio Avenue, he deserves a proper assessment back at the City Ground.
2.) 29 Jun 2025 17:44:29
Reinildo going to Sunderland. But yes Maffoe a RB not a LB. So after Truffert going to Bournemouth we should be looking around again. Both Moreno and Toffalo were left footed left backs.
3.) 29 Jun 2025 22:33:48
Pablo Maffeo was a city youth player i think, supposedly a very athlete.
4.) 30 Jun 2025 09:59:05
Offer far too low it seems. Where have we heard that before.
26 Jun 2025 21:33:24
Talk of £55M for Tyler Dibling, a 19 year old still learning the game - absolutely ridiculous! What is the Premier League transfer market coming to? Totally out of touch with reality. Any footballing businessman, Chairman or CEO who pays that for him wants sectioning under the mental health act! Also if Anthony Elanga is sold I'm getting my money back for my season ticket.
1.) 27 Jun 2025 22:35:49
Yeah Southampton can keep him for that money, can't see anyone paying that sort of money for literally potential, he had ago at the prem last season and frankly i can't remember him doing much.
2.) 27 Jun 2025 23:34:10
Beware or journalist hype. Everything has been told except the truth.
05 Dec 2023 23:22:51
He's had words with Cooper. Shouldn't really say on here but he said something to him. Yet another disagreement - as Club Captain he should be given some leeway?
1.) 06 Dec 2023 22:19:19
Depends what was said surely? If it was a childish rant then no, if it was constructive criticism then yes.
18 Jan 2023 23:19:22
I first put the news up about Chris Wood about a week or so ago at the beginning of a post. I got the information from some old contacts inside the game. I've heard he's on £80K per week at Newcastle and we've offered to pay him £120K per week! He's alright but that's ridiculous money taking into account that he's 31 and his best form was about 2/ 3 seasons ago. Surely we must off-load Jessie Lingard to balance the books?
1.) 19 Jan 2023 10:46:20
Not keen on signing him permanently but a loan deal would be ok til the end of the season, we need a No9 if Awoniyi is going to be out.
Not concerned by much else about the deal, I trust the club to do what they think is best financially.
2.) 19 Jan 2023 11:02:46
I agree, would be a good loan till the end of the season but not on a permanent I don't think.
3.) 19 Jan 2023 14:26:27
Wood is a proven premier league striker. He’s robust good in the air gets stuck in and is renowned for his hold up play. He can do the dirty stuff has good positional awareness. One one of his stats from last season, of the 15 matches he started Newcastle amassed 29 points. Loan to buy is a no brainier and at 31 has plenty of life, remember we sold chapman to Leeds when we thought he was done at 30ish. His record at Leeds was incredible and I would say similar types of players.
4.) 19 Jan 2023 14:58:05
Yeah fair enough, RR8. He is the type of player that should run well in his thirties, it's not like he's going to lose much pace lol
Nowhere near the finisher Chapman was though, tbf!
5.) 19 Jan 2023 22:37:17
I've said my opinion on wood, but also the position we are in injury wise, probably a sound decision short term.
Centre back now a priority as one more injury in that department and we are screwed.
I'd expect a centre back to arrive on loan from abroad now.
Only four loans aloud two from the prem already done and lodi so I doubt we will buy another center back.
I expect us to sign a permanent striker though as well as wood on loan.
01 Feb 2022 00:02:58
Panzo deal done but can't see the Sam Surrige deal confirmed yet?
1.) 01 Feb 2022 07:11:23
Both confirmed, the panzo signing probably signals the exit of Harbottle and fernandes in the summer though.
2.) 01 Feb 2022 10:04:57
More like a return to Portugal for Figs?
3.) 01 Feb 2022 11:16:12
It's baba fernandes I was referring to TWF, both out of contractin June.
4.) 01 Feb 2022 11:32:13
Both RH and BF are still young lads, hopefully they'll sign a new deal because they've looked decent in the U23s and when given a first team opportunity. Pretty sure if they're good enough Cooper and Brazil et al will want to keep them on.
I trust the club to make good decisions with youngsters, they usually do. Even pre-Murphy.
5.) 01 Feb 2022 13:51:40
Like both signings young and hungry, surridge determined to prove he can cut it as a striker in the championship which I think he will and ponzo a clearly talented footballer who can defend and create chances at the other end, looks more than capable of playing in midfield and chipping in with a few goals too.
Happy days some good signings this window and got rid of a few fringe players too, which will allow our youngsters to get more of a chance.
Bring on the foxes you reds.
FTID.
6.) 01 Feb 2022 14:17:19
21 now sutty and too many in front of them
Riley Harbottle just on out on loan to Wealdstone for a month.
With mbe soh and panzo in front of them I can't see them making the grade at forest.
To me 21 and you should be at least knocking on the door of the first team.
7.) 01 Feb 2022 14:41:27
You may be right Fff79, but I do trust Forest to make the right call.
And tbh, didn't realise Harbottle was 21, thought he was still in his teens.
8.) 01 Feb 2022 15:00:02
His brothers are
Baba 21 as well, I just look at the likes of worrall Johnson, mighten, finn back, getting first team action in their teens, you have to at keast be good enough to go out on loan to a league one or two side by the time your 20.
We have a tendency to keep calling them youngsters even when they are 23 and more.
Some very good kids in the under 18s that need to step up nowadays not have their paths blocked imo.
Swann, fornah, richardson won't make the grade either as forest first teamers.
9.) 01 Feb 2022 16:10:35
All good points, mate. I've not given up on Fornah and Richardson though, they look decent. I'm probably not as ruthless as you :)
10.) 01 Feb 2022 16:25:03
I just think they should be on loan to better standard than national league at their age and we are paying money for players like ponza and soh who are the same age.
11.) 02 Feb 2022 09:59:39
Richardson should certainly be playing at a higher level than the National League - He looked decent in League Two last season, should really be having a go in League One, like Fornah.
I do get what you're saying, although some do develop late. Grabban, for example, was 23/ 24 before he started scoring regularly in League Two and was 25/ 26 before he had his first decent season in the Championship.
12.) 02 Feb 2022 13:44:45
One of the reasons less are going out on loan, is that Brazil thinks the standard in Prem reserves that we are now in is higher than lower leagues.

Jesus saves? (Hopefully Matt Sels does, he'll be getting a lot of practice this season! ).
Sounds like two footballers with opposite financial behaviours; Jesus saves and Matt Sels ? ££££$$$$.
1.) 11 Jul 2025 14:22:30
I'm really excited to see if Igor Jesus is as good as he looked in the club world cup, practically carried Botafogo, Drogba mark2. ???.
2.) 11 Jul 2025 16:35:04
The last game he played for Botafoga, he was on the pitch all game and ran himself to a standstill as a loan striker, you can feel the anticipation for his first game, even more so now we need a positive desperately!.
08 Jul 2025 22:02:18
. had a unique connection with other players in the team. Forest con everyone by celebrating a new contract for a sub-standard performer like Neco Williams who is actually a weakness in the team - no goals, no assists, no ability. I will be going down to the City Ground to ask about a refund on my season card on the grounds of misrepresentation. Hope I bump into Mr Marinakis who clearly is a businessman who does not understand football or supporters. I am sick of this club letting it's best players go. No ambition, a joke set up and no respect for the supporters. It's the players we pay to watch. Gutted.
1.) 08 Jul 2025 22:55:16
Bed. Up. Get. Of. Side. Wrong?
2.) 08 Jul 2025 22:57:39
Con?
Ask for your season card refund and give it to someone that don't complain
You said you'd do it so do it?
3.) 08 Jul 2025 23:09:46
RHR I’m disappointed but think that’s an overreaction,
4.) 08 Jul 2025 23:34:39
Who was our last best player, we let go?.
5.) 09 Jul 2025 04:05:32
The first time I was furious when a player left Forest was when Ian Storey Moore left, and there's been many more over the years. I think the most optimistic of us realized one of our main players would be sold, we are in the same situation as Brentford, Wolves, Brighton etc when other teams come along with an open cheque book and cherry pick our best players!. For know be disappointed, but I can't wait for the new season. ??.
6.) 09 Jul 2025 04:29:17
I think what RHR is saying is his unique connection was via telepathy.
His connection tapped into the minds of everything and everyone at Forest.
However he felt a Sense of evil JU JU in both Marinakis and Neco only to CON himself into thinking all the BEST player's had left for Bitter rivals Notts County.
Having had one too many aperitifs he read the tea leaves to predict Lord Nelson would invade Wales. ?????.
7.) 09 Jul 2025 06:57:51
Just looking at our last few games this coming season. Not the easiest you could want, third from last game is a tricky one, Newcastle might be some sour memories involved. If we are having a poor season and relying on points, hope Elanga is not involved in it somehow.
I, am sure we will be OK, but it could be a tricky season.
08 Jul 2025 21:55:01
F#*king disgusted with the Anthony Elanga situation. We have let our secret weapon go. Only 3 players who can score a goal in the team: Wood, Hudson-Odoi and ELANGA! Wood is 34 soon and I wouldn't be surprised if he is only available for 15 games next season due to wear and tear? Just shows the ambition at the club - forget any ideas of Champions League - more likely to be a bottom 8 relegation battle. Elanga had a unique.
1.) 08 Jul 2025 22:56:02
Good lad but hopeless at corners and free kicks.
2.) 09 Jul 2025 09:48:23
RHR are you a sheep in disguise because you’re sure as hell not a Forest fan
Elanga wanted to go so I my mind Anthony who.
3.) 09 Jul 2025 10:19:25
Exactly munmad. If he doesn't want to play for us. Get rid for as much as we can and move on to the next. Disappointed yes but we'll sign others.
27 Jun 2025 12:42:34
Thanks Ed01, that was the post. It wasn't posted for some reason? Thought it might get a few responses ? ?.
{Ed001's Note - I don't know mate, I never saw it, maybe it got caught up by the spam filters for some reason or accidentally deleted by an editor. We only have checkboxes to choose from and it is very very easy to pick the wrong checkbox, especially if editing on a phone with fat fingers like mine.}
1.) 27 Jun 2025 23:34:24
Was posted on rumour site.
27 Jun 2025 09:56:01
Sent a post last night about Tyler Dibling Ed - was it missed Ed?
{Ed001's Note - I don't know - was it this one: 26 Jun 2025 21:33:24

1.) 27 Jun 2025 11:16:23
No chance you'll get your season ticket money back mate.
Business is Business.
2.) 27 Jun 2025 12:17:34
Apparently Newcastle are saying that there are 3 or 4 players just as good as Elanga, who play exactly in his role. And a lot cheaper to boot.
Well if that's the case Newcastle save yourselves money and by one or even two of them.
I as most reds supporters want Elanga to stay, and Newcastle don't even offer money plus player. Maybe if you gave us first pick of two players without question, plus money.
10 Jul 2025 09:19:38
McAtee absolutely useless having watched all of the U21 performances. Also my mate who's a Man City season ticket holder - goes home and away every week says he's Championship class and money for him welcome! If this is true relegation battle coming.
07 Jun 2025 01:13:02
He is vital to everything we have achieved last season and our style of play next season. He cannot be sold. Insanity to even contemplate it! Supporters protest if any further rumours please.
28 Aug 2023 21:32:44
Sounds unbelievably cheap - we should snap their hands off! ?.
22 Jun 2022 19:10:46
Exactly Dreamteam ?.
01 Jan 2022 19:15:31
Fantastic news. Maybe agreed a greater proportion of his wages?
11 Jul 2025 20:40:31
Hope Henderson plays in the first game ?.
10 Jul 2025 20:05:34
Absolutely disgusted RedRobinHood with it all, as I was saying about the Elanga business. The club are conning the supporters and have no ambition. We pay money to watch exciting players and thought we had a team that had gelled together. The club have no respect for the supporters in terms of players they follow or in terms of the sub standard facilities at the ground. Talk about a new stand? What about some decent toilets and entry and exits. I really feel the fans should be considering a protest. Surely people on here aren't looking forward to watching Sangare amble around the back four playing 5 yard passes? He is painful to watch and the results speak for themselves when he was in the team. I'm willing to bet also he won't score a goal in the next 2 seasons? Same goes for Neco Williams - how many goals will he score or create next season? But we're all supposed to be excited they're staying. How they have the neck to put prices up. Igor Jesus is a totally unproven quantity in the Premier League and needs players like Elanga and Gibbs-White around him. Shocking pre-season. Let's wait for some philosophical posts on let's not overreact or we'll sign better players with the money! Football is about getting a team together that works. Embarrassing all of it.
28 Jun 2025 22:16:22
Harvey Elliott not good enough to lace MGW's boots. Looks like a rough-arsed docker from Merseyside. Seems to find good positions but not enough in his game or his head for me.
26 Jun 2025 22:01:40
Yes, remember him fondly - never forgotten what he did for us. Wish we still had him in the squad, he knew how to finish. Pity Steve Cooper ruined his career.
21 Jun 2025 21:58:04
Yes Rowe has a plenty of running in him. Anderson's had a good game. Created a penalty, took the penalty and scored the penalty?. England 3 Spain 1. Spain U21s are a very good team. Good game to watch.
