A group of players who are unable to strike a football properly and put the ball in the net. I can't believe how we haven't scored yet. What is wrong with the finishing at this football club!?
19 Mar 2026 18:21:02
Should be 3 up.
19 Mar 2026 18:25:54
Tell you what!!!
They're bloody well trying!!!!
19 Mar 2026 18:32:32
We're dominating them and we've scored from a set piece, can't complain. ?
19 Mar 2026 18:33:58
What was that Cloughie saying??.
???
19 Mar 2026 18:35:02
Excellent first half performance, keep it up Reds.
19 Mar 2026 18:46:54
Remember, these players are a lot of new signings, and they are playing attacking football. Not passing sideways. Mactee, as I have said several times, was bought to replace MGW. As the commentators say, they are playing with freedom. Let's hope VP lets them carry on in this vein. Still, 45 at least to go.
19 Mar 2026 17:25:20
As predicted.
B team.
Hope they prove us all wrong.
19 Mar 2026 18:02:49
On paper it doesn't look too bad tbh, should have enough to at least get it back level. ?
19 Mar 2026 17:02:55
Whichever way it goes tonight we don't want any injuries or extra time. Coyr! ???.
19 Mar 2026 17:09:49
Unless ots Morato. ??
19 Mar 2026 17:16:36
I hope we win by some miracle. Just to shut these commentators and pundits up that are writing us off.
19 Mar 2026 17:46:24
Their keeper had an excellent game last week. He will be tough to break down, and I hope we don't concede early and we just go for it.
Come on Forest. Big chance for Yates starting tonight; he never lets us down.
Just hope I'm not watching it through me fingers.
19 Mar 2026 16:56:01
Pereira has ditched the Europa Cup. The side he's put out cannot compete and will let more goals in. Not a scenario we can come back from. He's concentrating on points in the Premiere League.
19 Mar 2026 17:20:13
This guarantees nothing for Sunday, it's abject surrender. A strong team, a good win, and a couple of goals would have been much more beneficial. We went to court for an upgrade to this competition, we are 1 down at half time, and we do this. Abysmal. Hope these shirkers finally show up.
19 Mar 2026 17:38:23
Agree, Stevie. Tonight may be very embarrassing.
19 Mar 2026 16:50:09
Well the second string start in Denmark, Cho not even in the squad tonight!
Morata starts, so we should be able to concentrate on staying in the Prem after tonight!
UEFA have said they want to discuss VAR with clubs via the general meeting that's coming up.
Good luck tonight Forest!
COYR.

{Ed's Note - EHL2020 has posted a new article entitled, Why Preseason Conditioning Shapes Tactical Success
19 Mar 2026 13:37:51
This is an excellent piece which is very applicable to us at Forest with our frequent mid season changes of coach this season. Great post and well worth a read. ??????
19 Mar 2026 06:21:17
Love it Retty here’s or new song
Come on feel the noise
Forest are our boys
We just can’t score
Under Pereira it lose or draw
Come on feel the noise
6000 shots to score
But it still ends in a dull draw
With no passion we just bore,
Come on feel the noise …….

Don't suppose VP will play Lucca and Jesus as twin strikers tonight, nothing to lose.
19 Mar 2026 11:49:11
Personally, as I've said in here before, I'd take the B team and leave the big guns at home. Spurs already have the advantage over us for Sunday, with an extra days recovery and no travelling to do. They rested a few last night, most noticeably Richarlison and Solanke, and still managed a win, pointless though it was.
I'd play (in a 4231) Gunn, then unfortunately I'd have to play Aina and Williams at full back (it's a pity Netz wasnt included in the Europa squad), with Morato and Abbott at centre back, Yates and Dominquez holding them, Bakwa, McAteer and Ndoye behind Lucca.
I'm sorry for those of you who have paid for tickets and transport. If it does turn ugly (as it might well do), perhaps Mr M could find a bit of loose change down the back of his settee and offer reimbursement.
I've never been to Herning where Midtjylland are based (I didn't know that until I googled it), but Copenhagen is a brilliant city to visit. Great beer, lots to see and very friendly people. I used to catch a converted WW2 landing craft to travel from my hotel in the meat packing district right into the Old Town, like catching a bus. Always regular, cheap, clean and on time!
We have to bite the bullet, I'm afraid. If our recruitment had been better, and we were comfortably ensconced in mid table, we could have had a right good go at the Europa, but, as the saying goes, if you fail to plan, you plan to fail.
VP is a good and experienced manager and will do what's necessary selection wise, bearing in mind the crock of ? he's inherited from our owner and his minions....
19 Mar 2026 14:04:47
Stokey, according to his record, he is not a good manager. He was sacked by Wolves and essentially led them into the hole they find themselves in today. Rob Edwards has turned the same squad around and has had a remarkable series of recent results. How VP became manager of our club only Edu/ Big M know. If the players turn up, for the fans' sake, as they ought, we will be safe. Tonight's game is an irrelevance. We essentially played our best team last week and lost.
I don't think they have lost all season at home. Anderson, MGW and Murillo should rest. Just as Tudor's first win last night, maybe we can do the same, but without any of the players who will play Sunday. This is a very big game should we lose and then drop into oblivion. Unbelievably, VP in one season will have managed 2/3 of the relegated clubs, which must be an unenviable record.
19 Mar 2026 16:25:35
Nuno, mate, I think VP's record this season has been taken out of context and skewed statistically.
He's had previous success with Porto and Olympiakos, and last season took Wolves from out of the bottom 3 and finished comfortably in the top half of the Premiership.
This season their owners, who sound about as mad as ours, sold his best players from under his feet (Cunha to Man Utd £63 million, Rayan to Man City £24 million and Fabio Silva to a German club for a similar amount) without adequate replacements.
I think their upturn in form under Rob Edwards has come about because they've got rid of disruptive players such as Strand Larson, and the pressure is off because they are building for next season in the Championship.
To put it in perspective, they have to win 4 out of their last 7 games to even have a minimum chance of staying up.
Obviously, VP doesn't have the record of a Pep or Arteta, but despite the squad disruption managerially, lack of pre season, and the general crock of ? he's inherited, he is a good manager and I believe he will keep us up.
19 Mar 2026 16:46:14
I would not say Edwards has turned around Wolves.
Agree with Stokey on this.
Despite the situation, I do believe VP has potential to become a good manager.
He's inherited a team extremely low on confidence, with a deep lack of self belief.
You can only play the hand you're dealt with.
19 Mar 2026 17:00:52
Well, it looks like I got 90 per cent of the team selection right! Hey Munmad, mate, gissa job. ???
