Looks like we are set to miss out on Neco Williams, as Fulham are preparing a £10m bid. This, and the rumour that we went in with a ridiculously low bid for Nihakate (sp? ) is starting to make me feel like the penny pinching, trying-to-do-it-on-the-cheap Forest of old. Yeah, I understand we need to be careful to some extent, but this is the Premier League and prices are sadly going to be very high now. Teams around us making signings already. and we seem to be dragging our heals. I think our mentality is stuck in the Championship. Weeks until the start of the season, and if we carry on like this, we will go into the first games of our prem lives getting mauled by even the poorest the prem has to offer. Bit doom and gloom, but we've been fans through this sort of thing before. And ended up being relegated.

I get why Union were pissed with the low ball offer. But I think it's very hypocritical of them to be so annoyed they would have done exactly the same to any other club and have a low offer first to test the waters. I do agree with you that I too am starting to get worried with the lack of signings yes there are a lot of rumours but nothing has come off them. Look at the Henderson talk it's been going on for weeks. Unless we get some positive news and soon we are dead in the water.

Agreed 2Star, we've had a fantastic season and now some are falling into the same pre-season doom mongering as every season.
We have irons in the fire and I am sure there will be some deals going on we don't even hear about. I think these guys know what they are doing and we need to trust them to get on with it.
Personally I just think it's people own impatience to know who we're getting.

Doom and gloom, you say 71, definitely! No need to panic, players will be signed, who knows what goes on behind the scenes. It wasn't Union who was naffed off, it was Mainz. Panicking over Fulham preparing a bid for Williams, who's to say we haven't made a bid. Papers have to write something this time of year, don't get drawn in. I'm sure we'll sign players that we want and indeed miss out on others. Enjoy the sunshine everything will be fine.

It's all press waffle lads and the biggest culprits are the Nottingham Paste. Refused to reopen a multi million pound deal. yea whatever?
If we don't get Williams so be it.
Plenty more players out there and don't worry about last year's loans there ain't one of them prem quality so time to build is required. Contracts don't end till 30th June. ?.

Oooh, a paper says Fulham are "preparing a bid. " Must be true. Obviously means no way can we sign the player!
Obviously, other teams will bid for players. That doesn't mean they won't come to Forest. If other teams don't bid, it means the player is probably sh1te!
Even if another team bids for a player, they are allowed to sign for us still. What you are going to find is that younger players will want to play under Cooper, giving us a better chance.
