I thought we were awful 1st half, not least thanks to the coach yet again picking an unfathomable team, better second half, but overall can consider ourselves lucky to come out with anything from the game, sangare was shocking, origi totally out of position when our best winger was on the bench, Dominguez would have brought more energy, but it cost us 45 mins to find out the coach got it wrong.

Sangare was an awful signing by the previous incumbent.
Started 10 league games under him before eventually helping to cost him his job.
Started 3 under Nuno and hopefully he has better judgement and bins him off before too much damage is done.

Let's suppose he didn't for one second even though he actually did. He'd have known the clubs strong interest in him and like us got to see how average he was in that pre-season friendly. Witnessing this then would it not have been prudent of him to speak up and say "hold on a minute why are we going after him, he looked crap against us"?
Whats also funny is when he was actually available after AFCON and injury a good number of fans on here were moaning he should be starting when he was on the bench against Liverpool and Brighton and now he is can't wait for him to be shown the door.
While we're on the subject of poor selection by "the experienced prem coach", what did Elanga actually do when he came on yesterday that Origi didn't do when he was on? Exactly, nothing. A lot of sour grapes and people who think they know better than the man that sees them everyday in training on here!

Red Fred, about elanga it’s not always what he does, it’s the threat every team knows he possesses with his pace, it forces them to play a slightly different way, if you’re going to play a winger, you’ve surely got to play a natiural winger over a makeshift one, and elangas return on the year is significantly better than origis, and we had a far better 2nd with him on,

Stevie all this about Cooper not having any say in signings is folly and utter nonsense and was started by a select few on here who seem determined to exonerate him of any blame for some shocking signings.
How can anyone seriously think he had no say in who was brought in lol?

Red Fred because recruitment isn’t within a coaches remit, what part of that simple statement are you struggling with, ? It was common knowledge he’d got more players than he wanted last season, he publicly said so, but you keep believing in this plank of a coach we've got now, he’s decisions are taking us down.

How have you deduced I hold this coach in any higher regard than the last one?
A recruitment team watch and advise on players a manager or coach shows an interest in and scouts and recommends players to the manager/ coach. The manager/ coach still has a say in who comes in and for you to think differently shows a complete lack of understanding. What football man of any principle would work under any different circumstances if he had no say in player recruitment?
The club deemed it fit to make a change so who are we to argue?
In their opinion Cooper had lost the plot. Remember the Fulham debacle when he bought Felipe back in from the cold and was playing MGW as a false 9 in some games?
If Cooper was still in charge we may already be down such was our demise at the time.
