Well, Carlo - you said it was getting a bit boring on here. Not any more mate. I've just been reading ED007's posts from earlier. I was prepared to leave his crass post on the discussion page about Veterans alone - but not now. ED007 - you have not only disrespected the Service some on here have given for this country (Stevie F Royal Marines; Stokey Police; Myself Army) but also many of our ancestors who have served as well. It is ironic to think that the sacrifice of Veterans has given you the freedom to write such comments. I find your comments about rape, murder etc by today's British Army totally unacceptable. I, like many in the forces over the last few decades, have served in numerous peacekeeping roles around the world. I have, personally, tried my hardest to protect innocent civilians in Bosnia in the early 1990's from others who were trying to put them in shallow graves as part of ethnic cleansing. How dare you call me and others 'murderers' and 'rapists'? I suggest that you need to take a good look at yourself and chat with ED001 about falling upon your own sword. You are a disgrace.

I think I started all this when someone said that the US are "Rubbish at everything ". and I mentioned WW2. then it just all spiralled out of control.

He lived on a street off Charles Avenue in Eastwood, Redjester. Glen Avenue or Wheeler Avenue not quite sure which one, though. About a 10 minute walk from me.

I think the biggest punch up caused by a few ill chosen words when I was on the CID was when a “tipsy”bloke came off the dance floor at the Navigation ( opposite where the Bridewell is now) and heard another drunken bloke remarked to his mate “ Here he is, the Dancing Queen “. He was overheard by the blokes mates, one thing led to another and I came on duty the next morning to find about 20 in the cells and another 5 in QMC! ????. I think we charged a round up affray after interviewing all day! Sober, they were all the nicest blokes you could imagine!

Lived on chewton st hilltop for 30 yes then Philip AVE for 10 yes Eastwood town were my non league side for many years till they folded and then reinvented themselves born and bred in Eastwood left 6 yes ago. Woodcocks mum lived on Charles Avenue not far for Tony to go to the Man in Space.

Cromford Road, Langley Mill is were I was 'raised'. I was on Church Street for 10 years when I got out of the nick. Been on Lodge Road for the last 3 1/ 2 since my twins were born.

Well Ed007, I thought that I was the only person who thinks on the same level as yourself. What's written is not necessarily the facts or truth. Once I questioned the facts are buried in a confusion of stories. My grandson who not to long ago did his A levels in history, Law and politics, and excelled in all three. His history paper was the highest mark in the schools history.
Told him to question what's written, in one instance "Rule Brittania", the navy. In 1667 in the Thames estuary the Dutch routes the illustrious navy, sank most of the fleet and sailed away with captured ships. Total humiliation, where that in your history books. Don't take things at face value, question.
