Preston have won 1-0 so are now one of three teams on 28 points then West Brom and ourselves just underneath them with a game in hand. No one is pulling away, this is looking like our best chance for many a year to go up.

Off course it is, indeed who would have gave Villa a chance last season, even in February but although we are nowhere near to being the finished article we have won games this season that we would not have in the past, yes we lost two on the trot before yesterday but Hull have shown since their win was no fluke, and you can not beat everyone. Off course with the way Forest have done in the past it is easy to fear the worse when they lose two on the trot, which quite a few people, including myself did. There for me no doubting there is included us a dozen teams, maybe more that could get promoted this season when you look at the table at moment, it really that tight.

Long long way to go yet we need to stay in touch and be in with a chance towards the end of the season. Hope LG stays fit because we are goosed if he gets injured.

Who knows what January will be bring, although it is still very early we are only three points from the three teams at the top of the table. We may not have played teams off the park but that is not our style of play under Sabri. We however have shown it does not matter where in the table a team is we are more than capable of beating them. We are even beating teams away from home, and we might, just might get even better.

Our away form is the key WTW when was the last time we won so many away games in a season never mind a quarter of one?
Think you'd have to go back to Billy's first tenure.
Any team winning a large proportion of away games will achieve promotion with just a half decent home form.

When BD took over from CC we got hammered 5-0 by Burnley at Turf Moor, we were unbeaten away for quite sometime thereafter .
