McAtee can't play any position. He's not good enough as again he proves on Saturday when he plays we have no control and lose. Again he no attempts on goal from him and no shots outside or inside the box. He needs to be off-loaded for better players.
If MGW is out we are in trouble. With any luck Callum Hudson-Odoi will be fit and he is one of the few players who is good enough to score goals at this level and needs to be brought back into the team asap. Kalimuendo is a joke from what I've observed so far.
25 Aug 2026 11:10:17
I suppose you are in the camp of, 'I could have done better'?. π΄π³
25 Aug 2026 11:16:30
And, Pre-Match rants are new. π
25 Aug 2026 11:57:22
Except we were winning with McAtee in the team under Pereira, and he was playing well.
One bad game, meltdown time.
24 Aug 2026 20:53:57
Delap deal on the cards, and the striker wants to come to Forest!
24 Aug 2026 21:51:01
A goal every 600 minutes last season. For Β£50M. Hope this isn't a pants down moment.
24 Aug 2026 21:53:28
Or Ollie Watkins???
Ya never know!!!
24 Aug 2026 23:13:26
Watkins would fit in well at Forest. Delap is a no-go.
25 Aug 2026 08:16:35
If we can get Delap for 35 million I would be happy. Think he'd suit Glasner's system. uredddssss living the Glasner Mr M dream. π
25 Aug 2026 10:38:43
Fine, Skeggs, if you want a one-goal-a-season lightweight. There are better around.
25 Aug 2026 10:46:36
1 goal a season? Didn't he score 11 for Ipswich. He knows Hutchinson, and he knows McAtee. He's 23. He had a bad season with Chelsea, what players don't? He will fit into Glasner's system, and, like I said, 35 million for a 23-year-old.
Put it this way: 12 months ago, when he was up for sale, we would have snapped Ipswich's hand off for that. Living the Glasner Mr M dream. π
25 Aug 2026 10:55:01
Seems some of the fanbase will never be happy, our manager and owner showing real
ambition, going after a young English striker, yet the doomers are out in force. π³
25 Aug 2026 10:58:06
I think he scored 13 goals for Ipswich two seasons ago. We need to pray he comes good.
Might be a loan with an option to buy.
25 Aug 2026 11:08:41
Mark my words, Delap is the heir to Kane's throne as the top English no.9. Skegs is bang on, and the rest of the naysayers need to give their heads a damn good wobble. ππ³
25 Aug 2026 11:25:09
Skeggs, obviously Delap would "fit into Glasner's system" because using a big, specialist centre forward must be unique in the entire football pyramid, mate.... Doh.... π
25 Aug 2026 11:59:32
Any investment that big is a risk. It's part of football. They aren't going to pay big bucks for an older player, and Delap has proven he can score at this level, albeit after having a shocker last season.
Unless we have Β£150M to buy a worldie who probably wants Champions League footy anyway, this is the market.
25 Aug 2026 12:25:37
What's up stokie.you have nothing to contribute no essay to write on delap to show us.so you just come up with doh π€£π€£ living the glasner mr m dream π
25 Aug 2026 13:11:26
I remember people writing of Odoi, Elanga and Woody.
I'd take Delap, he's obviously got potential.
Take him on loan initially with the option to buy.
25 Aug 2026 13:23:36
Skeggs, your punctuation has fallen off a cliff since your last post a short while ago. You really are fragile, aren't you, Dreyfus... Have a beer and relax, mate, help is out there.... πππππ
24 Aug 2026 16:17:27
MGW out injured. π±
McAtee can't play as a number 8, we need some creativity in the front 3. I'd play McAtee and Jesus behind.... Oh, if Woods is resting for the Prem, we need to play Kalimuendo.
Time for Kali to step up for Forest.
Boy do we need another striker. If anyone gets injured the period where you play two games a week or more around Xmas is going to be a joke.
Predicitons, fellow Trickes. Who do you think we'll sign up front and will we get a surprise two forwards?
Surely we are too stacked with wingers for this system? Or is Hutchinson going to be moving to CF?
24 Aug 2026 16:53:29
Lol... here we go again. Rinse and repeat. Living the usual start-of-season nightmare... same old, same old! I do still love Big M, though - just wish he'd calm down a bit!
24 Aug 2026 17:44:40
I think we get me and Skegs as emergency strikers. Failing that, Jimenez at Wolves. Get him cheap and he's decent. I wanted Delap before he went to Chelski, but I think he now has a flat arse from sitting on the bench all season.
Now Thiago would be great, but are there not any other strikers about? What about the other Mexican that scored against England?
24 Aug 2026 18:00:59
Cyclist. I've remarked before that the Β£70 million we spent on wingers is basically wasted because we appointed a new manager who uses a system of wing-backs. Wingers are redundant except where we might be desperately chasing a game.
Another example of lack of joined up thinking and lack of continuity at our club, mate.
24 Aug 2026 18:24:33
Skeggs and Big Larry up front!!!
Now I'd definitely pay to see that!!!
π€£π€£π€£
24 Aug 2026 18:33:54
They'd be passing to each other!
No one would get a touch!!!. πππ
24 Aug 2026 19:27:55
If Skegs passed to me, Rogie, I'd get a touch on. π€£π€£
24 Aug 2026 21:02:23
The chuckle brothers.....to me to you. π€£
24 Aug 2026 21:04:53
We could stick Murillo in mf and play diamond with Cuhna and Milenkovic. π
24 Aug 2026 21:25:30
If he passed to me, Larry, I'd pass out.
π€£π€£π€£
24 Aug 2026 21:43:46
Only thing he could pass is wind. π€£
24 Aug 2026 22:02:32
Sorry you girls, missing me. π I wouldn't pass to most of you, because next week you'd probably be wearing the opposites shirt. π
24 Aug 2026 23:15:17
I'd use Bowie up front, more of a "bite yer legs" striker.
25 Aug 2026 09:22:07
The Β£70 million on wingers is only wasted if they leave on free transfers. If we follow the Chelski route, as with Delap, we could sell them for north of Β£100 million.
25 Aug 2026 12:18:22
Yes and no, Oakham. They are on long contracts which are deteriorating in transfer value weekly, mate. Likewise, we will be paying them big wages to sit on a bench.
25 Aug 2026 12:28:35
Ignore him, Oakham. Him and his mate Ripley just like to slate Mr M for whatever reason they can pick at. And, Stokie, why are you worried about what they get paid to sit on the bench. It's Mr M's money that pays them, not yours. Just saying. π
24 Aug 2026 13:10:51
Can't believe I'm not going to get to the Leeds game. Cup games are one of the few times I can take my son.
I need us to win so I can take him in the next round. COYR!
24 Aug 2026 15:18:57
Hopefully, then, if we do progress, we're not drawn away at Plymouth or another difficult midweek away trek.
24 Aug 2026 15:28:15
Yes, obviously my son is loving sun, sea and dips in the pool, but he loves going to games. I just can't afford a season card, and it's so hard to get tickets to home Prem games, as well as ridiculously costly to take a kid and me.
I remember being able to afford to stand in the Trent End with my mates, with a bit of pocket money and buy a pie and lemonade...
So sad that the game has been stolen from the next generation, while the prawn sandwich brigade sit supping champagne with little interest in the nippers.
I'm going to write to Marinakis and tell him my son misses watching the game and wants his team back.
24 Aug 2026 12:08:53
When are serial cheats Man City going to get their comeuppance now signing another player for 85m. π‘π‘π‘π‘
24 Aug 2026 13:15:45
It's in the diary for 12th of Never, Munmad, mate. π‘
24 Aug 2026 15:14:08
I've heard the decision will be made public on the 30th February, no earlier than that. π π€£ππ
24 Aug 2026 18:35:11
I heard "Sometime around the next full eclipse."
π€£π€£π€£
24 Aug 2026 10:25:52
I remind everyone on here feeling down atm after our disappointing start on Saturday, that when Brian Clough was appointed in January 1974, Forest were 13th the second tier. At the end of the season we finished 16th and only won 3 or 4 games under his tenure.
In his second season in charge we finished 8th and then scraped promotion in his 3rd season.
The rest, as they say, is glory.
If Mr M had been the owner the great man would have been sacked long before this.
As Iβve said a million times, we desperately need 3 things β¦. Stability, stability and stability.
Coyr!
24 Aug 2026 11:15:19
100% right. Stability.
24 Aug 2026 11:30:09
That's right, but football has moved on since the Clough days. There's only a few teams that have kept their manager for 3 or 4 seasons in the Premier League. It's all about results, and getting them quickly now. But I would imagine, given what OG has been paid by Mr M, he's not after a quick fix.
24 Aug 2026 12:41:25
Unfortunately, with Mr. Marinakis, we have an owner who is impatient and demands immediate results.
Stability is paramount, you can't keep rolling the dice and replacing coaches expecting a different outcome.
Patience is the key to reward.
24 Aug 2026 13:04:02
Did you mean, fortunately, Forest have an ambitious owner that has bankrolled success returning to the banks of the Trent?
24 Aug 2026 13:23:21
Skegs, we don't know the details of OG's contract, but I'd imagine that Mr M will pay out his massive wages whether he's here for 5 years or 5 weeks, mate. Unless he throws his hands up and says "You know what, Mr M? I've achieved no improvement, therefore here's my resignation" (as no Premier League manager has ever said). Obviously, football has moved on.
Cloughie's appointment was 50 years ago. His massive achievement over all the other super managers, Ferguson, Klopp, Wenger, etc., was that he did it with a small, unfancied provincial club against all the odds. My point is that he was given time. 5 managers in a year is crazy. You can't build anything with that...
24 Aug 2026 13:38:37
3 managers in a season is mad, let alone 5. But im willing to give Mr M the benefit of the doubt, seeing as though hes bought in one of the best managers in the Premier League.
And when he did, I said if he messes up this one, that would be me done with Mr M. And, seeing as you know all my comments, im sure you will remember me saying that in a post at the time.
24 Aug 2026 13:43:32
I read somewhere that OG failed to win any of his first 8 games at Frankfurt nor any of his first 6 at Palace. Both tenures ended with silverware.
24 Aug 2026 14:44:28
No, I meant, unfortunately, due to his impatient nature.
24 Aug 2026 14:52:58
I have a question for you, Skeg. It pertains to OG, who is a highly regarded coach and manager. We have lost Anderson, and Diamonde and Schlager have recently joined.
Can OG get any more out of the current squad, eg going beyond the players' abilities, or will he struggle with the tools at his disposal?
24 Aug 2026 15:14:40
He will struggle with the system he plays, but we all knew his system before he joined us. And Mr M will have done. But the window isn't shut yet, and there will be new signings by the end of it.
24 Aug 2026 15:23:05
Skeggs, im sure Mr M will be devastated at the thought that you are threatening to give up on him. πππππ
24 Aug 2026 15:40:04
I'm sure he will be living the Glasner Mr M dream. π
24 Aug 2026 18:08:23
Yeah, we all knew the system that OG employed and Mr M did also. But he still got rid of VP and signed OG.
It's like the 4 points docked under FFP that threatened our Premiership survival. He knew it was wrong, and not going to work, but he did it anyway... As Homer Simpson would say... Doh. ππ³
24 Aug 2026 21:16:25
Stokey, you didn't even want VP, you wanted Dyche because it didn't work out with your lover Dyche. You are now turning your attention to VP to try and prove a point. Og will get his players and start winning games, and be here a lot longer than Dyche, like most of the Forest managers in the past, so let's move on and back the manager of our club, living the Glasner Mr M dream.
π
24 Aug 2026 21:46:58
Impatience tries to speed up things that take time, which often pushes the goal further away.
Marinakis, take heed of this quote!
24 Aug 2026 22:00:15
Maranakis forgives you. π€£π€£
25 Aug 2026 06:48:07
Skeg, I believe you're Marinakis in disguise. π₯Έπ€£
25 Aug 2026 08:01:54
If I was, I would have sold the club by now, listening to you lot. π
25 Aug 2026 08:56:38
DDS.... π₯± π€
25 Aug 2026 12:25:45
PS I can tell you are losing it Skeggs because your punctuation has gone awry again. Have a beer mate, relax. You are like Dreyfus when someone mentions Clouseau. Your DDS is getting worse definitely. β¦β¦..πππππ€ͺπ€ͺ
24 Aug 2026 07:59:35
A message to the bin dippers and Lambs on here. We were, are, and will be better on every stat that dirty Leeds, apart from one. We will buy a striker and hammer rubbish teams like them come the end of the season. Watch and learn.
24 Aug 2026 10:04:23
They wouldn't be the ones who celebrate with laughing emojis when we lose and disappear when we win, would they, Cyclist?
We hardly heard a peep out of them when VPs Reds were on their winning run (and scoring goals for fun) last season.
As some would say, "it's not rocket science." π€
24 Aug 2026 10:17:27
Nearly every team in the premier ship lost or drew their first game. Also, our new manager has not had Β£200m player investment. Big M has made a big investment in a proven manager, who may be the second highest paid?
Surely that is the first building block in establishing a winning side.
We need patience to let OG settle his side and accept, in what is a long season, there will be ups and downs. Bidding Β£70m for Thiago is a mark in the sand.
24 Aug 2026 11:35:07
Agreed entirely, Nuno.
But we had a winning side under VP, playing some great football, fans and players onside and scoring for fun even with key players missing. So what does our Glorious Leader do? ... Unbelievable imo.
24 Aug 2026 12:39:54
VP also did well at the end of the season with Wolves, before a terrible next season and the sack. So it's all ifs and could have been. OG is our manager now, the club's moved on, so should some of the fans.
I mean, I've been told enough by some of the moaning fans on here to move on from Nuno, that actually got results, fact. So let's move on from VP, sd etc. Living the Glasner, Mr M dream. π
24 Aug 2026 12:42:48
I'm going to have to sit on the fence this time, I agree with both of you, both give valid points. We're just going to have to wait and see. I just didn't see any improvement on Saturday.
24 Aug 2026 12:46:39
VP reinstated belief and cohesion within the team, ultimately saving us from relegation.
We will never know what VP could have achieved before he was brutally axed.
24 Aug 2026 13:04:05
Is that not what I've just said, Ripley. And, with you, pal, it's anything to slate Mr M with. But without Mr M we wouldn't even be talking Premier League managers. Living the Glasner, Mr M dream. π
24 Aug 2026 13:07:25
Is someone talking down someone who did a good job at Forest again? Miracle man Cooper, now Vitor Pereira, who didn't put a foot wrong and had us playing decent football on the eye and winning games?
The only time some people get excited is when they get to call our players names like Plankov.
24 Aug 2026 13:18:44
Pot, kettle, cyclist. You've never called a Forest player or manager, then. π€£π€£π€£ And it looks like Plankov has walked the plank. π€£
24 Aug 2026 13:33:13
We've had this conversation before, a few times, Skeggs.
Pure speculation on your part. VP failed at Wolves because the owners sold their best players and didn't replace them, against VP's wishes.
All I'm saying is, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
I have moved on and I will always fully support the incumbent Forest manager. I believe that is the position of all true Forest supporters.
24 Aug 2026 14:35:18
I agree with you, Skeggs. Woods has had his day. I'm extremely grateful for his service over the years, but when he was put through on Saturday with a guilt-edged opportunity for us to open the scoring, he blew it.
24 Aug 2026 15:35:49
If Wood ever gets his spark back, he can't be the main striker, as he's not going to be able to play 38 games. I just don't believe OG when he says we are only going for 2 players in 2 positions. He's playing to get the price down on a striker we want.
Just sign Mateta and an old fashioned number 9, Marniakis.
And we need at least 1 more WB who is suited to this system. Why doesn't he try Ndoye as a WB?
24 Aug 2026 17:43:33
Haaland missed his big opportunity yesterday at the start, as did Guehi, with one of the easiest headers you'll see. I don't think it makes them past it.
Wood had literally just come on too.
New season and formation and all that, let's give players and managers alike a chance, shall we. :)
24 Aug 2026 17:55:39
Good post Ginger. Whilst Old Father Time is against Woody, only someone who knows nothing about football would write him off on ten minutes as a sub after 6 months out injured. π
24 Aug 2026 22:39:18
Woody will still get the odd goal if he gets fit. But we need more minutes out of someone.
25 Aug 2026 09:19:27
Well whatβs the point in posting if youβre not allowed an opinion. Elitists have taken over the house. Myself a solid forest supporter from 1966 to present and gets told I know nothing about the game. SO BE IT.
25 Aug 2026 12:29:54
Agreed, Vale. Apologies, I withdraw my remark unreservedly, mate, whilst begging to differ.

Our very own Greek God! π
24 Aug 2026 13:37:40
I can tell you, Cyclist, that I was looking at statues of Greek gods on the Acropolis about 2 months ago, mate, and Mr M does not in any way fit the profile..... πππ
24 Aug 2026 15:38:08
I think when I write to Mr M, I might include that picture and say, 'Can we have that on the front page of the website to wind up the newspaper writers?'
A lot of the negative coverage of Mr M comes from newspaper writers in London. Where are Spurs and Palace? London. They hate Forest.
23 Aug 2026 17:24:27
With Liverpool to come soon, it's worth seeing Isak's big return to St James' Park is not going well. He's not having the best of times, and great to see Elanga score another decent goal!
23 Aug 2026 17:12:23
Unfortunately, we suffered a defeat due to a free kick. Prior to that, a draw seemed likely. We have completed one game with many more remaining. Do we anticipate at least three new players joining the team to achieve better balance?
I believe Marinakis should observe Leeds and Farke and note how maintaining faith in a coach can yield positive results.
Hopefully, he has realised that employing numerous coaches has only served to damage his reputation, and by sticking with OG, makes sense.
Dust off the loss, move fourth and get results.
23 Aug 2026 18:25:36
"Fourth"??!!
I thought we were "Fourth" from bottom!!!.
