According to the BBC we have agreed terms with Juventus for not one but two wingers, Weah ( 25 ) and Mbangula, ( 21 )
1.) 24 Jun 2025 09:43:12
still wondering if we have signed one two or three Brazilians but hopefully this deal won't take so long to confirm.
2.) 24 Jun 2025 11:03:51
They will target's for other club's.
I don't believe the two from Brazil are coming?
The defender doesn't want to leave at the minute.
It's all well and good having a verbal agreement but that doesn't mean anything.
The two from Juve aren't exactly a show of intent if anything it's a bit of an odd one.
3.) 24 Jun 2025 12:04:53
Fabrizio Romano reported that the deal was done for the two Brazilians and was 100% sealed on 20th June.
He's usually spot on?.
4.) 24 Jun 2025 12:48:04
I think the two from Juventus one or both will end up at another Mr Marinakis's clubs?.
5.) 24 Jun 2025 12:48:11
I don't wish to sound negative but until they are Officially revealed they are not Forest player's. ?.
6.) 24 Jun 2025 15:55:08
It's true that Romano is normally right. THat means we have signed Jesus and Jair Cunha (CB) but not Cuaibano (the FB).
And just because something hasn't been declared or activated until a certain date/ event, that does not mean nothing has been agreed or signed.
7.) 24 Jun 2025 16:02:48
That is to say, they might officially Botofogo players still until whatever has been agreed or signed is activated, but they will be Forest players if - Romano is right.
It was originally reported that their current club had agreed with Forest that any transfers would not be announced until AFTER the World Club Cup. That's pretty understandable to avoid distractions during the competition. Also I think there might be a PSR issue with announcing the signing (s) before July so Forest won't do that.
8.) 24 Jun 2025 16:06:58
Oh, one more thing.
The Brazilian season ends early December. Talk of delaying Jair Cunha leaving might mean he wants to finish the season there, so something might be possible to agree without stopping the transfer to Forest eventually happening.
9.) 26 Jun 2025 20:28:06
None of them are coming here.
All lazy journalism I'm afraid.
10.) 27 Jun 2025 10:21:10
looks like the two Juve wingers is off. Dunno why we don't check with agents before finding out that the player doesn't want to come after negotiations with club.
26 May 2025 13:08:01
Anyone heard that Conte might be our new manager?
1.) 26 May 2025 16:03:54
Mice not heard that rumour Doc. I think Nuno will be in charge next season provided he gets what he asks for from the recruitment team mate.
2.) 26 May 2025 18:43:04
Hope Nuno stays but big M is a admirer of Marco Silva, the Fulham manager. Ex Olympiacos man.
3.) 29 May 2025 12:00:15
The fake news will be flying everywhere over the next rew weeks just switch off and leave it to the people that know.
4.) 01 Jun 2025 09:30:05
i thought it was José Mourinho coming,
06 Dec 2023 08:55:02
Some facts I learnt last night
1. SC does not get on with Marakanis - no surprise there. I suspect 8/ 10 players coming to the club are not his choice
2. Graham Potter will be the next Forest manager.
17 Sep 2021 09:51:08
Our new manager is Steve Cooper? How do I know? Well all I can say is that he has been seen yesterday looking at a house.
1.) 17 Sep 2021 10:18:17
I doesn't matter who our next manager is and I think it's about time people stop blaming the managers.
The club has been a shambles for a long time now and it's clear to me where the problem truly lies.
MARINAKIS OUT!
2.) 17 Sep 2021 11:06:29
Tomo, mate, sadly without Marinakos there wouldn’t be Forest to support . We’d be defunct except for some glorious pages in the history books. Sometimes you have to sup with the devil to survive. 😕.
3.) 17 Sep 2021 12:00:59
I hope he's only looking at short term rental properties Doc.
4.) 17 Sep 2021 16:34:55
Marinakis is keeping the club alive. Be careful what you wish for.
16 Sep 2021 07:19:00
Allegedly Steve Cooper and Alex Neil are in the melting pot . If it's true both will be trying to negotiate for control of player transfers . This is the problem not paying off CH . Big M is not in control, it's the myriad of people in between all wanting to have a finger in the pie . The club is undergoing a slow death due to their decision to sign player after player with 0 pedigree. We will not get either Cooper or Neil if the managers role is simply a coach . I.
1.) 16 Sep 2021 08:27:53
Don’t want any of them underperforming idiots, frying pan, fire.
2.) 16 Sep 2021 08:31:40
Alex Neil was at the game last night. Seems odd that he would come to watch dreary Wednesday game at the CG.
3.) 16 Sep 2021 09:34:47
Noooo! Please NO!
4.) 16 Sep 2021 10:35:23
With you perko, nooo nooo nooo to either. I would rather have clough and pearce. Now that would sort this lot out.

To state the obvious, the team is essentially unchanged from last season. Elanga was not always the first name on the team sheet. Ndoye is a different player, maybe not as fast but more skilful. The solution to our lack of goals is also plain. Both HO and Ndoye should understand their purpose is to get the ball to Wood. He maybe a trifle older but last season season became our record goal scorer. Why? because the players knew to pass to him. After all our back 4 with Sels is unchanged. Anderson and I guess on form, Sangaré. MGW in his no 10 role and Ndoye and HO on the wings, Wood up front. Surely this is a recipe for a successful team. This year we have much stronger bench. That we hope will make a difference when brought on.
1.) 10 Aug 2025 19:39:08
The new players haven't shown to be better than what we already have or had in terms of replacing Elanga. Recruitments are much needed both in terms of depth and quality. Or it could be a long hard season.
2.) 10 Aug 2025 19:58:57
Tomorrow will be make or break for us, once we get to know what euro league we're in the players we've been chasing will either come or go elsewhere. but at least it will be decided, just gone on for too long.
3.) 10 Aug 2025 20:16:53
That could go even longer as both clubs would probably appeal the decision either way.
4.) 10 Aug 2025 21:20:58
I didn't see a bench last season doc and we still don't have one this season yet
The team picks itself cus there's nothing else as back up
We've sold our back ups and rightly so, but not replaced them or improved the first team either
I've always said chill, but it's not looking good atm and worse scenario is sign for the sake of it on the cheap
We saw last season that we only had 14 players capable, probably only still got that figure going into a season, but we aren't the only premier club in that position
We simply can't compete on 4 fronts with 14 players.
06 Aug 2025 21:28:40
The big six are buying most of the best players and paying them ridiculous wages. A/ V Forest and Newcastle cannot compete at their level. Liverpool and United have been the worst offenders, I mean how many extra forwards do they need? Or cynically they are stopping other clubs signing them. It makes you realise what an amazing last season we had against this group. Somehow I cannot see this season being the same. Somehow we must turn around a poor run of results stretching back to the tail end of the season and the poor results of our recent friendlies.
Brentford on paper is a win. They have lost a top striker, we lost Elanga but have replaced him. So let's hope they can win this one.
1.) 06 Aug 2025 22:30:26
Canny beat being positive before a ball is even kicked at the start of the season. Big six buying everyone? I can't think of one of our targets being taken from us. ??.
2.) 06 Aug 2025 22:42:06
I share your concerns as I'm sure many others do on here Doc. However, what I saw in the first half last night has given me a bit of hope about the forthcoming season.
3.) 06 Aug 2025 22:50:20
The biggest problem winter mate
The window should never be extended beyond a season, how can coaches prepare for a season when the window is still open for two weeks beyond?
Newcastle sign elanga and isak wants out now?
The window should shut before the season starts.
{Ed001's Note - it was never a problem until they introduced the window. The smaller it gets the worse it is for the smaller clubs as the big clubs will just stockpile more players.}
4.) 06 Aug 2025 23:17:44
Totally agree edd
The window and the length it's open is ridiculous
We all know business will be done last few days when we've played games.
5.) 07 Aug 2025 23:24:36
Got anderson for a steal and off loaded a greek stevie Wonder keeper. Good business for me.
04 Aug 2025 20:51:22
Leicester ( championship ) beat Fiorentina 2-0. I would like to hear the prediction for the Reds tomorrow night. I have a relatively meagre but honest expectation, of a 1-0 win. Anything else will be difficult to accept.
1.) 04 Aug 2025 21:32:40
Jesus hat-trick, 5-3 to us!
2.) 04 Aug 2025 22:24:07
I think it will be 0-0 but result is not important really.
3.) 05 Aug 2025 00:25:29
Getting a good result and building some confidence would be just what the squad needs and the supporters because so far it's been dire!.
25 Jul 2025 07:40:19
If we had a choice - do we ever with players - Elliot or Mactee.
1.) 25 Jul 2025 08:19:17
I'd probably go for Elliot as he's had more Premier League experience than McAtee and they are similar ages.
2.) 25 Jul 2025 08:51:09
Nkunku?.
3.) 25 Jul 2025 11:04:11
Nkunku is the more exciting prospect for me too.
4.) 25 Jul 2025 12:05:01
Elliot for me and is a direct replacement for MGW and with the extra benefits of a proven goal keeper. Worth breaking the bank for.
5.) 25 Jul 2025 13:17:46
Huh a proven goal keeper?
Sels won the golden glove last season.
Clueless ???.
6.) 25 Jul 2025 15:26:29
Neither, both not good enough. Please watch replays of the recent U21 tournament for evidence + McAtee's performances for City when he actually got a game. I watched a lot of City last season as a good mate of mine is a big fan.
7.) 25 Jul 2025 19:27:09
RHR i think you've mentioned him before and i have, Rowe at OM in France looked dangerous when he played in the tournament, we could do a lot worse for a whole lot more money.
22 Jul 2025 12:29:13
It's a fact that we are not in the top 8 of the premier league. Last season United and Spurs had a poor season, they have both spent the cash and I expect they will be up near the top 25/ 26. It is not as simple as the have and have nots. Last season we had a number of notable victories against such clubs, with far less resources. Sadly running out of steam due to weaker members of our whole squad. As yet this season, we don't know who will be in or out. Nevertheless Nuno has taken them to Portugal, so he must know certain players will be with him to Christmas at least. Negotiations are on going most of which we are not and never have been privy too. Let us hope Edu has a few white rabbits to bring out of the hat. Whatever happens we will all carry on supporting of course. Remembering Brentford have lost their top two first rate strikers and a first rate manager.
1.) 22 Jul 2025 14:52:12
We are "Due" some progres from "Edu"?.
2.) 22 Jul 2025 15:21:24
Lots of rumours flying around now, bids on the table for Ndoye, Yilmaz, possibly Douglas Luiz and McAtee?.
3.) 22 Jul 2025 16:54:28
Anybody know when the season cards are going to be sent out?. Hope it's not in another singing box, poor wife nearly choked on her tea.
4.) 22 Jul 2025 19:01:31
Nice 'letter-play' Mossy. I didn't even notice until you mentioned it. You're right - we seriously need this Edu character to step up to the plate now. As I've said before - for him to recruit for Arsenal is a different world to recruiting for Forest. Even being an eternal-optimist, I'm starting to doubt him.
5.) 22 Jul 2025 19:39:09
It's the last season when we have cards red Vale, I believe we use the same ones we have, then it's on your phone thereafter.
6.) 22 Jul 2025 20:49:34
Thanks for the update.
7.) 22 Jul 2025 22:52:30
I see what you did there Mossy.
8.) 23 Jul 2025 12:18:28
Legolas, I'm sure we will have more arrivals, it will be like the Fawaz days three or four all together with a Forest shirt in there hands, and you and Gazz, I may look like Gandalf but have the brain of a Beano reader?.
02 Sep 2024 19:33:32
DTP I am with you I am afraid, atm. Your point re Williams and Ania negating the need for HO and Elanga. These latter two not heading for the line to centre to Wood but cutting inside, is loosing us chances and therefore matches.
Sanghera cannot be any better than OBrien, yet he stays the other goes. Jota and Sosa have energy, as does Yates. Jota and Yates were all over. Sadly, it was in 90 mins when Jota and Sosa were brought on. Where was Morena?
The style of Nuno play is identical to last season. We were so lucky that 3 teams were poorer than ours. Surely all fans, Big M included, hope for a better season ie a mid table finish. I cannot presently see that happening.
Folks on this site see the issues. We are armchair critics with very little knowledge, only watching players and noting positive and negatives. However, these points are made as we want our team to do well.
Nuno is being given a chance, but with the current second and third teams next away, it is likely we will gain no more points and then Fulham. This season we have a much better and more skillful squad. Let’s hope Nuno sees what we see and didn’t think on Saturday we could win. So therefore, he played a defensive hand. We need a manager who looks forward not backward all the time.
20 Dec 2023 10:23:46
I agree completely, we will be in free fall - championship - League 1.
16 Apr 2023 14:14:02
I don’t think a young inexperienced manager such as Gerrard or Viera have any chance of saving Forest, infact it’s frying pan into the fire. Who did Crystal Palace replace Viera with a 70 yr old. We would be better with a Sam A, Harry, or Benitez.
21 Jan 2023 17:23:41
Chris wood played like Glen Murray today - enough said.
16 Sep 2021 20:28:34
No it’s 1 m and he will save us from relegation.
13 Aug 2025 11:34:58
MM it is not difficult to predict the top 6, as history has taught us. Chelsea will do much better this season as MU and Spurs. All have invested well. Never mind the other 3! Newcastle are a quandary but Howe is an excellent manager but with Izack inevitably going, they may have a more challenging season. Similar to ours. I hope we will be in the middle group with Newcastle, AV, Brighton, Crystal Palace and possibly Bournemouth.
The rest will be in a relegation fight. Both Sunderland and Leeds have invested heavily. They are both teams with which we have often played against over the years and I would like to see them stay up. My relegation trio would be Burnley, Brentford and West Ham but Leeds and Sunderland will be in the mix but I hope at least one survives.
12 Aug 2025 21:51:30
Aside from Anderson. Elliot won the tournament with his goals. Rowe was a fast as Elanga but has changed one European club for another. Quashe an excellent centre back went to Germany. Hutchinson we should buy even if it costs a bit more. I similarly don’t understand re Mactee vs Elliot. Seeing all of the UEFA matches Elliot would be my choice everyday. Now we are in a better European league maybe Elliot would sign.
05 Aug 2025 21:51:14
0-0 is not good enough by a long chalk. This means in 1the last 14 matches we have won 2. This is the dude Leicester beat 2-0. A big change is needed and I am not sure what is needed. There is no indication they can score goals or win matches. This is a relegation heading set of results. It will be argued these are meaningless friendlies. However the last 8 games of the season were not and we won 2/ 8. The last 6 matches we scored one goal, lost against a premier side and a championship side and drew the rest against poor opposition. There are no excuses.
03 Aug 2025 19:54:21
We have to see if Edu is worth his salary in the next 4 weeks. A lot of business involving the top 6 has taken place and they have bought the known cream of the crop. Note Newcastle not included and equally have not spent much either. However we don’t want the dregs brought in on long contracts. Sad, we don’t have 19 yr old striker in the ranks or in any position. So we rely on players out of contract. Don’t be surprised if Brentford play under 21s and overwhelm us. Overseas players maybe talented but it takes them a long time to settle ie Sangare 2 yrs? And the jury on this site still is out without a verdict. Poor Awonyi is another, had one amazing season that kept us up and then very little and a horrible injury.
02 Aug 2025 21:11:38
You would imagine every player is playing for his place. Yet apparently not. Nuno has given them an easy preseason ride. Fulham would have been at a similar stage of preparedness to us - we lost 3-1. No team have we beaten. Today would have began an ideal opportunity for the memory of a great previous Forest player. Nuno should have said go out and enjoy yourselves having shown them previous videos of TF.
Apparently not according to those who gallantly travelled. Are we still the side who won 2/ 8 of our last season games? Has the MGW situation and his pay rise unsettled the team? Has HO lost his enthusiasm now his mate has left? This is certainly not because Elanga has left. To be fair I can’t remember a preseason when we won games.
