Evening Gents. I hope you're all keeping well. I'm sorry for being a bit 'quiet' on the site recently. I've been inundated with charity cases to work on recently and, frankly, it's become too much. The reality is that now I'm doing an unpaid job on almost full time hours. I so want to help others - but it has now become too much and I feel that my good nature is starting to be exploited. I won't be giving my charity work up, but I'll be cutting things down on that front from here on in.
Also, I'm still trying to finish off the book about my exploits that I've been writing for 3 years plus. Hopefully, I can get this done and published soon.
Sorry I can't make it to the Spurs game RV. I had to cancel due to family stuff. As McGovern said - hopefully I'll get my disabled arse up to Nottingham in the New Year.

Sorry to hear that mate. take it easy.
2.) 30 Nov 2025 11:05:28
It’s the old adage Lego! If you want something doing Salk a busy person!
10 Nov 2025 23:48:41
OK, back to reality. Some things go far beyond football. I've now raised £3,169 for my homeless Veteran client who was sleeping in his car when I first met him.
He now has a council flat and a sofa, cooker, fridge/ freezer and washing machine on order. I've also sorted payment for his flat to be carpeted.
I know many on here are now retired and have time on their hands, as I do. Try to give some of that time to help others in need my fellow Reds.
1.) 11 Nov 2025 01:00:25
I raise my hat to you legolas, we could do with you up here in Nottinghamshire. All our council do is build flats for students, which as I'm sure you are aware they can't fill. Bloody disgusting.
2.) 11 Nov 2025 07:49:44
Thanks Lego. Too many people have been left behind.
It's similar near to me. Yet another enormous block of flats has gone up, called Centre Court. So much money for it there is literally one of those tennis courts with perspex around it in the middle for students and "young professionals". Literally no new housing for veterans returning from service, people made redundant or mentally ill people waiting on treatment waiting lists with no family able to help them.
Nottm Council are a bunch of grifters, So sad.
3.) 11 Nov 2025 10:21:51
Shocking that this guy has had to endure this?
After all his Service.
I'm absolutely appalled mate.
4.) 11 Nov 2025 10:23:16
And Big Up to you Sir Lego Las!
5.) 11 Nov 2025 16:46:47
It's great what your doing Legolas ?, it's just a shame that our Governments are willing to help anyone except our own Citizens!,. In Nottingham we have students, council houses sold in the 70s are now multi occupancy homes, it's a transient community's with no roots, and no respect for there neighbours, I love Nottingham but ain't blind to the decay, come down Mansfield Road to the centre, all the shops are vape, vape, barbers, take away, barbers, vape, take away all in my opinion "Dodgy".
6.) 11 Nov 2025 17:01:44
WOW Sir Lego, very well done my friend! I'm not only a Red Dog, but also ex Army, so thank you for taking the time to do this. I'm one of the lucky ones, I came home from doing service, found a job and now nursing myself back to health after cancer of the lung.
If I can help in any way, please do give me a shout.
7.) 11 Nov 2025 17:27:08
Well done Lego. If everyone was like you the world would be a much better place mate! ??????.
8.) 11 Nov 2025 18:13:36
Well done Lego.
Amazing work matey ❤️❤️.
9.) 11 Nov 2025 22:53:44
Thanks for all of your kind replies chaps. It is, in my opinion, a national disgrace that anyone should be homeless nowadays - let alone those who have put their lives at risk serving this country. The only (former) MP who I think really cares about this issue is Johnny Mercer. I've been in touch with Johnny recently. Watch this space!
Keeff - many thanks for your kind offer of help, but I won't be asking you join me on my next charity mountain climb with your lung mate! (Sorry, Squaddie-humour which I know you'll recognise). I hope you're bearing-up and recovering well mate. Who did you serve with Keeff?
10.) 12 Nov 2025 08:40:04
Oh I might get up that mountain, determination is the key! I was RCT 2 Div Bunda in Germany and then a couple of places I shouldn't mention lol
Did some tours with some very special people, taught me a lot really. Some of my former buddies came home in bad ways, so I get the idea about what you do mate!
11.) 12 Nov 2025 18:29:55
Lego, I m trying to ignore the 2 thumbs down appended to your worthy post by some moronic half wit (s).
Sometimes I despair mate ……….
12.) 12 Nov 2025 22:18:33
Some people don't like our past and what my dad and grandad, plus all your families fought for stokey, they have no respect.
10 Nov 2025 19:17:04
Others have summed-up the game perfectly - particularly Chim who in my eyes has become the new Creepy on this site with regards to his perceptive and objective post-match reports. Well done mate.
I do, however, want to comment on Hutchinson. No, he isn't the next Ronaldo Skegs, I agree. But I think he adds something that Forest haven't had for a long time. Just look at his technique. Jinky, shoulder drops, dribbling with both feet, then really fast pace over 10-20m to outpace his man and put in a good cross. Does that not remind you of a certain Scottish winger that we had in the past?!
A totally different style of play from Elanga, but equally as effective IMO. Shame he was a victim of our previous politics at Forest but I'd start him every game in the PL.
1.) 10 Nov 2025 20:18:54
I haven't said he's a bad player and I think he was OK at Ipswich all I'm saying let's give him 90 mins against a good side and let's see how he does. he has a bit of a way to go to prove he's worth the 37 million pound edu spent on him hopefully he will prove he's worth it.
2.) 10 Nov 2025 20:28:03
I agree, why pay so much money for the lad and keep him on the bench, he will only get better by playing and can't play in europa so give him the chance in the prem and give him a some games to find a bit if consistency, he is more used to the prem than some of the other buys.
3.) 10 Nov 2025 23:14:27
I agree that was a big fee we paid for the guy. However, I'm going to stick my head on the block and predict that Hutchinson will be a big part of the new-dawn for us.
Some of you may now agree with my previous posts months ago that us letting Elanga go was lunacy. However, I hope Hutchinson will make some amends for that very poor decision.
4.) 10 Nov 2025 23:48:56
Hi Ed, Every time I go to go on this site, it comes up "Bad Error"?
However when I look it up on Google and choose the Live Chat opinion, only then does it let me on?
Any suggestions mate?

Happens from bad cookies.

I often think it’s a bad error to come on this site Rogie………???.
08 Nov 2025 22:20:15
Evening Reds. I've been quietly reading everyone's posts over the last week and digesting things.
I've come to the conclusion that Forest have been/ are still going through 'the perfect storm' in football terms. Some elements of which were outside of our control as a club - but mostly matters that were within our control and could have been managed so much better.
Look at things as a whole. Poor results at the end of last season; question marks about our place in European football; poor recruitment in terms of the amount of money spent; Nuno speaking his mind and being fired after Edu joined; a knee-jerk reaction by Big M in hiring Ange to give us more attacking football to try to save face for his own ego; that disaster and Ange leaving; the players not seeming to know what their roles are on the field and with very dubious commitment to the Forest-cause.
And then, in all of this chaos, I read that some of you feel that Dyche is a poor appointment? Dyche may not promote the most dynamic type of football - but IMO he is exactly what Forest needs at the moment - a 'safe pair of hands'.
1.) 08 Nov 2025 23:11:08
It isn't dyche lego bud, put it this way. If I had the choice of you or gibbs white taken the next pen. You've got my vote. I just feel there's no commitment. Chalk n cheese from last season.
As I keep saying. Players not committed to training or just aren't taking it in. Or the coaches need sacking. This lot need a good hoof up the wrongun. Just greed without the badge. Just my opinion.
2.) 09 Nov 2025 08:55:06
It's dyches job to get them playing as a team. and he needs to put some spirit into that team. its also his job to bench anyone that's not giving a 100 percent not play them just because they've played well last season I would definitely bench Gibs without a doubt.
3.) 09 Nov 2025 12:06:27
I'd also bench MGW.
Needs to realise he can be benched if he's played poorly.
If Clough was his boss he'd have swimming in trent.
4.) 09 Nov 2025 14:24:52
Gardening duties I think ?.
01 Nov 2025 19:45:26
Well, I have to admit that today's game was a bit of a surprise to me Reds. Even though my dodgy stick was playing-up again, I saw enough of a game today that was a lot more entertaining than I thought it would be. I think, generally, we held our own fairly well against a quality team 'on the up'.
Certainly not a great performance by Forest IMO. But, definitely an improvement. I have hope again.
04 Dec 2025 23:54:26
A superbly sensible post BS. This site has been lacking this sort of post for a long while.
19 Nov 2025 18:24:18
Not for me BSE. I don't think that Garner is quite PL standard. I do think that he'd probably excel at one of the better CL clubs though.
16 Nov 2025 22:50:32
Good grief. Get a grip of yourselves Gentlemen. What a load of old tosh. What you're talking about is even less realistic than Edu making a positive contribution to our club. And that, in itself, is far-fetched.
14 Nov 2025 00:22:38
Very good Skegs. Not even your twins?
13 Nov 2025 21:53:51
You're totally missing my point Skegs. Compassion. Do you not feel it?
