The fa cup bud, never take any game for granted. No matter which league position etc. What makes it magical ?.
11 Feb 2025 18:38:55
0-2 to Forest is my prediction.
1.) 11 Feb 2025 19:49:51
12 nil forest the smiling assassin with 4 hat tricks ?.
2.) 11 Feb 2025 19:51:38
My prediction is that the winner will be the team that scores the most goals. But I might be wrong.
3.) 11 Feb 2025 20:53:42
. and if they score the same amount each it could may well be a draw too mate.
???.
4.) 11 Feb 2025 20:54:21
You have a keen mind and a sharp tongue Polly.

I'm very much a novice gambler. However, my cheeky bet on CW being the top scorer in the PL at 66/ 1 is looking good, especially if Mo gets injured! I could cash-out now with a reasonable profit, but I'm sticking with it for the time being.
Question for those more experienced than me though as I can't find the answer on the betting website - does top scorer of PL players include all tournaments or solely games in the PL?
Probably a very crass question, but I'd appreciate any advice.
1.) 09 Feb 2025 21:33:51
Just goals in the premier.
2.) 09 Feb 2025 22:27:02
Top scorer in the PL should mean top scorer in the PL.
3.) 09 Feb 2025 22:58:14
Thanks for your comments. I apologise for my ignorance on these matters but my Jewish-genes are kicking in with this bet.
4.) 09 Feb 2025 23:00:05
BTW, thanks for the amazing advice Polly.
5.) 10 Feb 2025 08:09:12
No problem, Lego. But there is a clue in what you bet on 'top scorer in the Premier League.
6.) 10 Feb 2025 09:59:36
I’d cash in whilst you can Legolas mate on the basis that Liverpool score more goals than us, Salah looks supremely fit and you never ever see a poor bookie! ( from someone who never placed a bet in his life except the odd workplace flutter in the Grand National or football tournament. Even then I used to get the three legged nag or Scotland respectively) ???.

A little public information broadcast before we beat Brighton tomorrow!
Today I secured £40 p/w (indefinitely) from a charity for a 75 year old widow who lives on her own in a ramshackle house. Formerly married to a Navy chap, she has been too proud to ask for help since her hubby's death. With the old lady unable to afford decent food and suffering from malnutrition, her carer told me on the quiet that she was coming around to cook meals but often there was no food to cook.
Can you believe that this is happening in our country today?
Please try to help the weaker members of our society when you can Gents.

Well done Legolas, you are a good man ??It’s a disgrace for any of citizen of the 4th wealthiest country in the world to suffer in this way. Especially a widow to one of our ex Services men. Absolute disgrace mate!
2.) 31 Jan 2025 22:33:34
Well done Legless. Class.
3.) 01 Feb 2025 01:21:46
im a South West lad living in the North East and up here it makes me sad looking at the state of our once great nation (because we have definitely fallen off the cliff) food banks, poverty, homeless, deprivation, the elderly suffering. there's doing our bit and there's a serious f**king need for the government to step up because there's only so much we can all do.
4.) 01 Feb 2025 07:14:23
Well done Legolas. Have you asked the carer if she’s claiming attendance allowance too? It’s either 72 or 108 per week. 5 billion goes unclaimed each year. Probably because it’s a 30 page form, and people don’t think they are entitled to it. Trust me, most people are.
If she is not, she definitely qualifies.
I remember your name from previous posts, so I’ll send an initial friend request on FB if that’s ok mate?
You can then point her in the right direction and I’ll give you advice on how to make sure she does the form correct!
And for the benefit of any other people who may know someone who may qualify ( and it can simply be something as simple as a husband or wife has to help their partner get up out of a seat, or have to clean them up after eating, help them bathe etc).
They DO NOT need a paid carer coming in to qualify! Attendance Allowance is badly misnamed!
It’s worth looking into!

Amazing work legolas. This country should be looking after our own without any any hesitation.
6.) 01 Feb 2025 09:12:41
One day I was at the lifeboat station when two very elderly people came in. They told me they had never had children and how do they go about donating their home to the RNLI after they die.
I told them how to do it but their concern was they wanted the funds to go to us, their local lifeboat station and they knew all donations end up at Poole and get distributed to whoever needs it most.
Now even Poole (HQ) aren't turning down a 400k donation so after a few days of sorting out legalities these two old dears left their home in their will to our station. Just for the record, 90% of all RNLI donations come from someones will.

Nice one Legolas! ? well done mate. We have to look after our own and they should take priority over the free loading, dingy scroungers who get everything they want as soon as they step foot on one of our beaches. It’s a bloody disgrace!

Brilliant Legolas!

Bowie - I've just been thinking about you in the bath (don't worry, not in a sexy-way! ). Now that you're in rehab whilst your legs recover, why not give wheelchair rugby a go? There's a club in Newcastle called the Barbarians who I've played against (and lost every time) on numerous occasions. They're a great bunch of blokes who play hard and party hard!
Wheelchair rugby has been my saviour - it's great for both physical and mental health. Maybe consider giving it a go Bowie as there is nothing more satisfying than beating up a disabled person!
1.) 26 Jan 2025 19:47:01
He already does wheelchair drinking Lego, for the Newcastle Nutters. ?
Then after entertains them on the piano with his bootleg Liberace under the name Liverace candle sticks and all. Bless him my geordie hero ???.
2.) 26 Jan 2025 20:01:12
The problem with that is Bowie would be the one getting the beating all the time the tiger wood waller ?.
3.) 26 Jan 2025 22:50:00
Ahhh bless ya lego my friend, will be back to work on 5th February, hopefully. Take no notice on the skegs wallers ? the wife, grandkids and forest get all my free time when back. Oh and my good friend Jimmy 5 x bellies. Thanks again for your thoughts.

As usual I agree with you Stokey and I'm certainly appreciating it as a fan! I feel so proud at what we have achieved as a club so far this season - in a more measured, self-confident, yet less confrontational way than the last couple of seasons.
I do wonder though what Big M expects from us in terms of finishing place this season - in comparison to Nuno and the players' aspirations/ abilities.
I have a gut feeling that a gap will appear between the two
aspirations as the season comes to an end.
To use a fairground analogy though - I'm loving the fact that Forest are at last riding the roller-coaster, as opposed to the merry go round.
14 Feb 2025 20:33:55
Superb Stokey! 'Bungalow Skegs' has a certain ring about it.
14 Feb 2025 20:24:01
Nor could they change a typewriter ribbon Stokey.
13 Feb 2025 23:05:44
Only old people or the disabled live in bungalows.
I qualify on both counts. Jealous.
13 Feb 2025 20:29:38
I hear what you're saying Bowie, but to use an analogy - it's just like experiencing one of your teenage kids leave home. It hurts, but they need to find a new place to grow and they will be better for it.
Personally, I think it's time for both parties to shake hands, say thank you, and goodbye.
