Nottingham Forest have initiated talks with Viktor Gyokeres. Representatives are in Portugal to discuss a move to the City Ground. Sporting value him at €75m. A perfect move for both parties, our style will suit the Swedish striker and he will score goals for fun. Thoughts Gentlemen?

I saw Gyokeres a few times when he played for Coventry Perko. Undoubtedly talented but he was a bit lazy and tended to fade in and out of games. Of course, that's a few years ago now when we were in the Championship so he might have added better workload into his strengths since then. Good finisher though and might be worth a shout. Not at £75 million though …….

I think that Gyokeres has been a late developer in some respects. He didn't get a sniff of first team football at Brighton (he was young though) but did well at Coventry and has been brilliant at Sporting. Like Stokey said, he did seem a bit lethargic at Coventry at times but his recent goal scoring over the past 4 seasons or so has been very impressive. A massive gamble at £75 million though.

I just don't see this happening. Ambition we have by the boat load but with money we have to stay under the rules that have bitten our rear end before.
We won't spend 80 million and even if they lower the asking price by a few mill it's dangerous for us to flirt with.
We're still a club that has to play with 20-25 million as top price. The players we hope to sell off this January, wouldn't bring in that type of money and to be fair, how many clubs are lining up for our cast offs?
Nice fantasy but I fear it's just that.

It would be a great coup but the last hing we need is to risk any ffp backlash given our current position. We need to add in a way that gives us some depth for the rest of the season. What about the Feyenoord striker?

Yep, I’d take Giminez SYD, scored a brace against Bayern last night and is a consistent goal scorer. Wouldn’t upset the dressing room too much either and at a reasonable price for his goal scoring talents. I know he turned us down 3 times in the summer but i wouldn’t hold a grudge against him for that, to be fair we were premier league strugglers at that time but now we are flying and a more appealing option. Time will tell as to who we bring in this transfer window but i do think we need another striker in as if Wood picks up an injury then we are knackered as Awoniyi isn’t the answer. He’s well off the boil and showing us the clumsy oaf that i always thought he was/ is. I wouldn’t be paying more than we’ve offered for Wissa either as he’s 28. Cunha is definitely a talent so we will have to wait and see what happens. Either way i reckon we will need to get a bit of quality over the line before the window slams shut.

Giminez agreed terms with Milan. Now club have to agree with Feyenoord which is likely to be a bit more difficult. I just hope we don't end up without Cunha or Wissa and end up like the summer when we were left short as moves for Giminez and Marmoush failed.

Morning Lads, this one is for Lego, i woke up today with you on my mind my friend. I hope that you are okay. Was just thinking that maybe you could stay with us for this last game of the season. Celebrate with us whatever the outcome, this match is huge. Then you would have until next season to do your stuff, get the help and support you need and come back on here when you are ready. It would be a shame for you to miss out.
Also my old mate 79 (DTP) I know you still check in and look at these posts! Stay with us brother! This site mutated into a two sided thing, The Skegness Massive ( Jay and Balloons) on one and DTP and Stevie F on the other. Everyone is entitled to their opinion whether it be right or wrong and not everyone will agree with what is said, i myself am a splinter, I'm between the two. Similar to Bowie in some respects. I don't post loads like some but i do observe. You are all really good lads. But I've noticed recently that other posters are taking sides and jumping on the bandwagon. DTP can't post anything without unnecessary opinions and replies from those posters, mainly some new lads on here and it's become a witch hunt, similar to 5th to 7th, that poor bloke couldn't post anything without being trod on. No wonder 79 got p*ssed off and stopped posting. When i first came on here (TAP1710) i used to think he was a right miserable git and we locked horns a couple of times, but he's really not, he's a good lad. He, like Stevie are a bit more diplomatic than Jay and Balloons who are both hilarious wind up merchants, and if you bite, they've got you. Just a quick reply to MV from yesterday, Crikey! I understand what you meant now mate! It was a brilliant night, Pearce was in fine form, he had some brilliant and funny stories to tell about Cloughie and his time at Forest and with England. The q and a with the audience was really good and he answered the questions very well and it was nice to spend some time with my lad. But bloody hell, doesn't that auction drag on! I mean who really wants a collage of photos of Des Walker or indeed Psycho? Some of the bidders were paying £800, £900 or a thousand for them, i reckon they'd had a few too many beers and got caught up in the hype! They were even selling a number of single signed football boots for £200 each, Pearce hadn't even worn them, just signed them and they looked like they were straight off the shelf at Sports Direct. And what on earth would you do with one boot? The auction and the raffle took over an hour and spoilt it a bit, but all in all it was a great night. Looking forward to the match tomorrow. Come On Forest ?⚪️⚽️?.
