He probably owns it RRH.

Evening chaps. I've just read about Stevie. OK, it's going to be difficult without a surname - but I volunteer for SSAFA The Armed Forces Charity as a Caseworker. I'll contact the SSAFA East Midlands office tomorrow morning and see if I can blag a fellow Caseworker there to look into it. SSAFA volunteers regularly visit Veterans in hospitals (they visited me during my hospital stay).

So to confirm - his first name is Kev/Kevin, he is in City Hospital Nottingham and underwent heart bypass surgery on 24th September? Bowie - please correct me if I'm wrong.

If anyone knows Stevie's surname I'll ring the hospital direct. This will obviously be a lot quicker than going via SSAFA East Midlands office. Many thanks.

I'll try my best.

I've just researched this further. The average time spent in hospital after a heart bypass operation is 5-7 days. Given the date of his op, Stevie should now have been out of hospital for at least a week if the op went as planned.

As such, I won't take this further. Let's hope the old Bootneck sends us an update.

Good man Lego.
Just by way of reassurance Bowie et al my Dad, bless him, had triple bypass surgery at Leicester Royal Infirmary when he was in his early 50s. Took a vein from his leg if I remember correctly.

He passed away ( not from anything heart related) when he was 84.
I don't know the current stats but back then the odds were overwhelmingly in favour of success and techniques could only have improved.

09 Oct 2026 11:31:13
Thanks for the feedback lego bud.

09 Oct 2026 11:51:51
Had a triple myself 5 years ago,6 days in the City,at the time rated third in UK for success.
Recovery is a long Road back but you must listen to the physio,s.
I still attend the cardiac gym every week.
Not a smoker or obese and always a swimmer so came as a shock, never ill but blocked arteries found through something else.

They tried a stent but too much damage.
Forest looked after me letting me sit near the front till I felt able to get back up steps.
Now it's a case of keep taking the tablets.
CARLO.

If I've counted right, England have scored 17 goals in their last 4 matches. Boring eh? I'd say positively Vitor esque.????????.

What no Ndoye
He could start.
CARLO.

08 Oct 2026 19:59:47
That's probably our strongest line up Munmad but OG will have judgement calls on our international players. Neco seemed to play every minute for Wales and several players clocked up the air miles mate, Cunha to Australia and India, Munoz South America I think.

09 Oct 2026 00:26:54
Schlager was complaining about how many minutes he had to play on TV (he played every minute of four games or something crazy)

09 Oct 2026 10:28:38
Two of our best footballers Hudson-Odoi and Aina on the bench after an embarrassing defeat to Coventry? Hudson-Odoi being one of the few players who knows how to score a goal, baffling.

09 Oct 2026 10:30:57
The natural replacements for Schlager are Sanghere ( who played for Ivory Coast a couple of times) then Dominquez and Yates.

09 Oct 2026 16:29:24
Milenkovic, Jesus definitely not going to play and Williams is not well, so could be a doubt, Palace also have injuries to key players also, so who's cover players settle best?.

09 Oct 2026 19:37:59
If there is no place for Ainia, he will leave in January. He is one of better players. So if Cunhia is tired he takes his place. HO is a forest version of Saka when he is fit, he fails to impress. I agree in playing Jesus as our wingers are our full backs so Ndoye or any winger can have no role in OGs side.

07 Oct 2026 10:28:29
Dan Ndoye is an enigma puts on a Swiss shirt and he's world class put him in a Forest shirt and he is crap maybe it's a mental thing.

07 Oct 2026 10:55:03
Could be, but I think it's more likely he can't get his head around the new system.

07 Oct 2026 11:51:17
Never seemed together his head round any of the previous 4 systems.
CARLO.

07 Oct 2026 12:55:49
Bare in mind guys that the Premier League is the best standard in the world, most of the top half sides would be in the top 10 equivalent of the international rankings. International football is a completely different kettle of fish. Often played at walking pace and nowhere near the pace of an average Premier League match. ?.

07 Oct 2026 14:02:55
RRH- exactly.

07 Oct 2026 15:33:15
Wishing you a speedy recovery Stevie f mate.
Sending you love and best wishes mate.

07 Oct 2026 09:19:15
Well another mile stone for Harry Kane, equally Shiltons record England appearances! Another decent result also, with Ando putting in another great shift - if only he could shoot though! Maybe he should have some training time with Harry!

What happened Stevie???
I'm on Holiday?

07 Oct 2026 11:10:59
A message to Stevie F, I'm sure you can get internet service in hospital so when you're feeling better you can read the messages from us all. We don't always see eye to eye but in times like this we're all one.

Take care of yourself and stay strong we're all rooting for you so don't think you're forgotten. God bless you. Try and get some proper food brought in, that stuff from the hospital won't do you any good. Speedy recovery.

06 Oct 2026 19:58:06
The hospital for stevie f was the city hospital on 23rd it was heart bypass reds his 1st name is kev.

06 Oct 2026 21:47:51
Lego bud. Stevie f, or kev was an ex commando. If you could use your influence?

06 Oct 2026 21:54:03
Wasn't Stevie an acquaintance of DTP? ?.

06 Oct 2026 21:57:18
Yes winter.

06 Oct 2026 22:02:30
Sorry Bowie can't help you mate. Hospitals on very tight on giving out patient information to strangers. Stevie was ex Royal Marine, perhaps British Legion but you don't have much to go on.
I've been retired for 17 years and the strings I used to be able to pull are long gone.
I share with you my hope that he's ok ?.

06 Oct 2026 22:25:44
Thanks stokey bud ?.

06 Oct 2026 22:27:37
If anyone knows anyone from the hospital etc reds ?.

06 Oct 2026 22:49:13
Surely someone here can contact DTP, come on fellas, help Bowie out. ?.

06 Oct 2026 22:53:24
Also Bowie, you could try ringing the hospital, you have the date of his op and his first name, explain/blag em saying you are a concerned neighbour or even someone from down the British Legion who knows him, never know mate, might get a decent nurse on the other end. ?.

06 Oct 2026 23:22:45
Thank you winter. My good friend dtp as you've sussed has already tried the friend thing. But yeah I guess it's who answers tbh. But the neighbour thing may work.

06 Oct 2026 23:39:46
Winter bud. I'm doing this on behalf of DTP bud. And myself obviously. It's DTP who's been trying to phone etc. But much appreciated.

07 Oct 2026 09:45:43
Yeah i kinda guessed mate, good luck to you both ??.

06 Oct 2026 19:59:39
Ok been a while since I got into the guts of this club.
1. Marinikis, you came you seen, you conquered sir on behalf of a WFCG, desperate for attention in my view. not you sir. The whole shambles.

2. You justified football, ok maybe not Cooper style but a style that worked perfectly (fans and players) I dunno at this point. How many of us punched the air with the laddie. It worked for us big style, simple as.

3. frustration, of all the many wronguns, not just players or managers, but big M. choosing what he's told from CEOs to the simple coaching staff.

4. the promise of a bigger ground. Don't get me wrong I'm more than up for the rowing club and it's history. Loved a drink in there. But more than that can see. Why should football be put in front of rowing. Oi I don't set the rules only abide by the good citizens as a Geordie.

5. I was gonna go on at this point. But it's the none belief in the big fella M. that worries me going forward. I still think he should leave it to his son. He's far too headstrong for bigger things. We are not pawns on a chess set. But humans with passion.

Just my opinion. FTID.

Obviously put on before stevie f asking reds. Bless him. Really hope all is well.

06 Oct 2026 19:41:38
Morgan Gibbs White might as well have stayed in Dubai. His minutes coming on as sub amount to sweet FA, Eze doesn't get picked for Arsenal, so can't be match fit. Calvert Lewin total waste of time being there!
