Someone should screenshot the last two or three pages of the site and email them to Mr M. I've not seen one post backing the Austrian wolly.

On the plus side, hiring Glasner has done one good thing, he's united us, we're all in agreement for once?.

01 Nov 2026 13:27:20
If you think changing the manager - again - is going to change must I genuinely believe you are wrong.

OG is fixated by the system yes - one that got him FA Cup and Europa League at Palace. At Palace! And success previously.

Changing the manager won't change much. 4 years of Premiership flux, god knows how many mangers, numerous CEOs, numerous heads of recruitment, numerous back office changes. Sponsors late to shirts, ground redevelopment plans. The list goes on.

The manager/s are not the problem. I realize OG can be frustrating etc but we knew this when we hired him. This is what you get.

The owner's approach (and the club's) means we are destined to constant flux and underperformance. It's the way it is.

Getting rid of the most Prem proven manager we have hired, is unlikely to unleash some Lazarus recovery. The issues run deeper, much deeper, in my view, and sadly I'm pessimistic about it all.

01 Nov 2026 13:29:39
Maybe it was a Cunning Plan!
?.

01 Nov 2026 13:51:13
Appointing Pereira last season DID make a difference. The coach is important.

01 Nov 2026 13:52:23
CAgen, we're all entitled to our own opinions, while if I'm wrong I'll hold my hands up. But we can't all be wrong, the overwhelming majority of our fanbase agrees that Glasner is wrong for our club.

01 Nov 2026 15:02:12
Out of the previous 11, how many have been right?

Why do we keep hiring the wrong ones?

Perhaps we should just stick with a manager longer. A proven one in this case.

We are Watford Mk2 at this rate.

01 Nov 2026 15:08:46
Nuno and VP are the only people who have got results and made the the team above and beyond for their coaches.

01 Nov 2026 15:41:13
Cooper was spot on at the time, as was Nuno and VP. VP should have been kept. And as I said to someone else the other day, who cares what others think of our club? They can label us as Watford mark two, I don't care, Glasner is ripping the heart out of the club, the traditions of playing with wingers on the break have been destroyed.

Unless he gets the dressing room on board which isn't going happen, we will be relegated. Yay back to the championship and he'll move on with a huge wedge in his back pocket, for destroying the club?.

01 Nov 2026 15:54:43
Cooper got us promoted as well. The right coach at the right time does make a difference.

Sack him!

01 Nov 2026 12:06:43
By constantly picking Ndoye OG immediately loses every argument.
CARLO.

Agree4 Disagree0

01 Nov 2026 18:00:39
That is the whole point Carlo, how can't he see what everyone else can.

01 Nov 2026 10:44:18
How many times has 3 at the back been tried by various managers OG reminds me of Amorim to stubborn to use what he has to the best of there ability, Williams and aina aren't wing backs there full backs, our defends don't suit 3 at the back.

Ndoye don't even need to say anything, MGW has no runners to play to due to no width swap back to 4,2,3,1 and watch form change i know it will never happen under OG Plan B is do plan a better, what happens to managers adapting to what there up against what happened to tactics and making a plan according to what your playing.

Sangare one of our best players last season can get a game, Schlager I just don't get never have unless OG goes we will be relegated due to his complete inability to bend or admit it isn't working we can all see it pundits can see players can see it but not him, I never usually want a manager sacked but this situation has got me so angry just want him gone now as he will stick to this football no matter what.

Agree5 Disagree0

01 Nov 2026 11:23:59
Exactly James. It's not necessarily the system per se mate, it's the inflexibility of OG and the lack of players who can change things, particularly out on the wings. Also, this system sidelines our most creative player MGW and reduces the supply to our spearhead Delap.

Wood thrived on wingers in Nunos system but even he and VP particularly had players who could change mid match if need be.

01 Nov 2026 11:36:17
Whilst sat at breakfast eating his humble pie, Mr M had better be considering ringing VP with a heartfelt apology. ?.

01 Nov 2026 12:08:51
Marinakis is too stubborn to give VP another shot.
VP had the rug pulled from him to allow the path for OG.

01 Nov 2026 12:09:25
You're right RRH, but unfortunately that won't happen as much as I and many others would like. Let's cut to the chase, the club is a shambles from top to bottom and has been for a long time now, we can't even start the rebuild until the rowing clubs decide where they want to go, and as I understand there in no rush to go and have rejected more than one location.

I just don't understand why the owner didn't get players in who can play in the new system, because these can't or won't adapt. Absolutely ridiculous and disgraceful.

01 Nov 2026 12:12:34
Completely in agreement Redjames. He's obsessed with a system and the players he's working with are irrelevant to him. His beliefs are totally unfounded.

01 Nov 2026 12:16:27
Id' drop Ndoye & play Stokie out wide on the left. There no bigger left-winger than him ?.

01 Nov 2026 12:19:30
Larry ?.

01 Nov 2026 12:28:29
??? larry.

01 Nov 2026 12:35:37
Very good Larry ! I'd do it on his wages anytime mate!???????.

01 Nov 2026 12:41:03
Whether we have the right players for the system is one thing, but to claim the guy is unfounded / not proven using the system is just bonkers.
He's just won the FA Cup and Europa League with Crystal Palace. I think he knows what he's doing.

He always starts very slowly at clubs. Did the same at Palace.

Squad possibly isn't good enough to either potentially stay up and / or play his system.

01 Nov 2026 12:41:54
Taking a leaf out of John Bishops book, I still wear a Reds shirt to Forest matches just on the off chance that OG looks over to the BC stand and says to assistants"‘you know, what ? I reckon that 70 year old over there, with the pacemaker could do a job for us.

Go over and get him to get warmed up and ask him his boot size.??????.

01 Nov 2026 12:45:20
It's bad enough the teams carrying players already, they couldn't cope with Stokeys nursing team and Zimmer as well. ?.

01 Nov 2026 13:00:44
??
CARLO.

01 Nov 2026 13:32:26
I reckon I'm still quicker than Ndoye.???
Vale, good post. I was moaning when OG was appointed at the last minute that it showed a lack of joined up thinking insofar as our wingers particularly were overnight made redundant. So Bakwa and Hutch shipped off, CHO on the bench, millions wasted mate.
Agen, good post but whilst I agree that OG is a good coach his achievements are overrated.

When you think about it he nicked an FA Cup win against a dominant Man City after an easy run to the final and won the Europa likewise ( was it Rangers on pens in the final). He was sacked at Leverkusen the following season after a run of poor form in the Bundesliga. As for the Conference, as I've said a few times, I reckon I could win that with Nantwich Town mate.

01 Nov 2026 13:49:10
The worrying thing is Stokey, you are right about Ndoye. I'd have you, Homer Simpson and Ant or Dec starting ahead of him.

01 Nov 2026 15:03:13
Hey Lego the next time we meet up at the WFCG mate, bring a Reds home shirt.you never know.???.

01 Nov 2026 15:16:44
He should! His arrogance and greed has landed us firmly in the mud! I said at the start of this season that I expected "Immediate success " given his track record.

I was so annoyed when Vitor and was prepared to give him a chance.
It's went a lot worse than I feared.

01 Nov 2026 10:20:26
Morning after the night before in the cold light of day.
for the first time I am seriously worried for my beloved Nottingham Forest!

Analysing yesterdays game and taking the emotion out of it some basic issues spring out at you.

1. Our goalkeeper creates problems for the defence by not commanding his area

2. Our wingbacks are not wingbacks, possibly Munoz aside, they are full backs

3. Playing 3 CB isn't working they are tripping over themselves, especially defending set pieces

4.Our midfield is too static and doesn't progress the ball forward quick enough

5. Without wingers our main threat fast transitions has stopped completely

6. Gibbs White has lost form and doesn't look interested at the moment

7. Wood has lost his legs and Delap has no confidence whatsoever

8. Glasner has lost the dressing room.

Agree4 Disagree0

01 Nov 2026 11:42:36
Good post Munmad. I don't think Sels is part of the problem though mate. OGs system is basically too inflexible. It has pros and cons. If you remember VP and Nuno could change it at will depending on the opposition and the match tactical situation. But then we had adaptable ( and available ) players who bought into that.

Now we don't.
Two of the main defects of OGs system is that MGW is marginalized rather than at the hub of things, particularly going forward and Delaps supply from wide positions has dried up as has his confidence. Both are feeding on scraps.

01 Nov 2026 11:48:37
Totally agree munmad, it's a total ( swear words deleted)

01 Nov 2026 12:03:13
Been saying about sels for weeks. so you all agree with me at last took you some time but obviously I was right in the end ?.

01 Nov 2026 12:17:52
We're basically rudderless, OG does little from the sidelines in directing play, MGW is not a proper captain. The players are all playing an alien system.
After watching the Milian derby last night I was surprised to see Amorin change his philosophy and play four at the back, guess what?, they dominated Inter and won handsomely.

So a Leopard can change its spots after all, but is our Leopard to stubborn to change his? Either way he's on borrowed time now, a limp defeat at teatime on Saturday and the home fans will turn, seeing as it's City visiting, I guess the big man will be in attendance. The supporters will literally seal his fate. ?.

01 Nov 2026 12:18:03
James McAtee can't run, can't shoot, can't score goals, can't head, can't take players on, can't cause problems or goals from free kicks, etc. and it won't change. 5-a-side football only. He is neither a number 10 nor a number 2.

Ridiculous for a manager to put such unconditional faith in him based on his ability and impact on games. Watch the Aston Villa Europa semi-final and compare him to John McGinn.

01 Nov 2026 12:32:12
RHR, it's beyond a joke now, it's not just McAtee, Ndoye, The Serbinator. Only one proper wingback, I can't even describe Delap as misfiring because he fires blanks. Total shambles is an understatement, poor recruitment once again, no competition in goal, chasing a big name CB all summer, signing him and not playing him.

Letting all our pace out wide go out on loan, paying £50 million for dud(I admit to being optimistic about him, blind faith my friends). I could go on and on. But the buck stops at Glasners feet, he wanted this, he directed this and now his head must roll. ?.

01 Nov 2026 12:47:09
We clearly don't "all” agree with Munmads post about Sels do we' Skeggs? Read my disagreeing post again for clarification mate.??.

01 Nov 2026 12:59:21
It says you dont think. obviously ???.

01 Nov 2026 13:38:45
It's usually best to read the whole sentence Skeggs. but was it Oscar Wilde who said that when certain people say something intelligent it's like a dog walking on its hind legs. it's not that remarkable that it happens sometimes but that it happens at all?
??????.

01 Nov 2026 13:51:12
You need to calm down pal. and just admit when your wrong and take it on the chin and move on. living the skeg mr m dream ?.

01 Nov 2026 15:05:16
Says the man who's never been right to the man who's never wrong.????.

01 Nov 2026 10:04:27
You can talk and talk and talk but the league table never ever lies.
No goals scored at home in to Nov. this must be a new record.
Is Derbys PL record under threat?
CARLO.

Agree2 Disagree0

01 Nov 2026 10:20:54
Exactly Carlo. Posters who think otherwise are deluded. I had to have a wry smile at Skegs's post advising us to relax as one win will take us "up” to 15th. A far cry from the guaranteed European spot from OG " the winner ". besides which where is that magical "one win” coming from? Man City and Chelsea next up at home with Bournemouth between away.

Cant see us getting anything from those fixtures under this manager.
Living the Mr M / Glasner nightmare for most of us.

01 Nov 2026 10:58:38
Fair play to Skeggs for admitting he got it wrong.

01 Nov 2026 11:15:47
OG should go where he is happy, sooner rather than later. I see a bus on the horizon, which I'm pretty sure he's prepared to throw others under in the coming weeks. Forest simply cannot afford to be pulled further into difficulty while he decides whether this squad fits his approach and pacifies his compromises. Don't drag our beloved club down.

Marinakis should have the courage to acknowledge his decision simply hasn't worked out so far, act quickly and reverse it, rather than see us dismantle things. Let our players settle back into a system they fully understood and, most importantly, looked like they enjoyed playing in.

It's clearly irritated me that much, I've posted more on here this morning than I intended.
Sorry guys.

01 Nov 2026 11:43:38
I wanted to give a top proven Premier league manager a chance. rogie cause I got fed up with dinosaurs and other no hope looney managers coming through door. but obviously you could see after 6 games it wasnt working ndoye mcattee shouldn't even be on subs bench sels should have had some competition decrap again should of been mateta cheaper and a lot better milencovic was one of our best defenders gone backwards sangare one of our better midfield players with dominguez not starting games mgw only turns up when he thinks he might be getting sold on or a club's come in for him for me the players are as much to blame as the manager but hey ho its the forest way next manager please living the skegs mr maranakis dream ?.

01 Nov 2026 11:43:56
Don't apologise Robbo. We need perceptive and sensible posts like yours on here mate !
Keep them coming.

01 Nov 2026 12:01:03
Even though a long post robbo it was a interesting point of view. without anything to do without a lecture on history so good post mate.

01 Nov 2026 12:22:46
Completely agree Robbo, Stokey and Carlo ?. Hope Marinakis can see it and offers the supporters an apology.

01 Nov 2026 12:53:34
Skegs I'm sure OG is much relieved to know that you were on his side and prepared to give him a chance early doors mate! Even though it was the kiss of death as usual.
As it turned out, only Big Ange had a worse win ratio to date.
Even Dyche.??.

01 Nov 2026 13:00:52
2 in a matter of 20 mins ? ? my day couldn't get any better ?? uredddssss Uredddssss.

01 Nov 2026 15:16:33
Must have nodded off and missed it mate.
???.

01 Nov 2026 08:09:37
From the start of the season when it could have been a positive campaign, it's know deteriorate into a relaxation battle, finger pointing and lack of discipline in the changing room. I'm sure Mr Marinnakis is already made his mind up on Glasner like he did with "ALL" the others, be hind the scenes the City Ground is still chaotic as the day he arrived!, well can not see any week's holiday this international break.

Agree4 Disagree0

01 Nov 2026 08:26:46
Marinakas ? apart from one glimpse of success under Nuno (which he abruptly ended) all we have done since our return to the top flight is struggle. Marinakas a mancwith a plan. The only plan he needs is Jane Plan. ?.

01 Nov 2026 08:58:02
As another guy on here said.
How can we be so bad now?
Same players!!!
I blame mostly him, however players need to be accountable too.
Only a matter of time before he deflects the fact that through his own stubbornness we are where we are.

01 Nov 2026 10:15:21
OG didn't walk into Forest with his eyes wide shut. Like all of us, he knew the recent managerial history, knew he'd inherited a squad assembled under different regimes and knew confidence and cohesion were very likely to be issues. So when the message becomes "I made too many compromises”, it risks sounding as though the problem is primarily the people he's inherited.

For me, that's completely wrong. He chose to inherit them. If you take a job in those circumstances, part of the challenge you're accepting is to work with an imperfect, unsettled squad and gradually mould it. You can't reasonably expect a group that's been repeatedly asked to change direction to immediately look like a team that's been playing your style of football for the past two years.

If you're one of those repeatedly sitting on the bench, or another struggling to understand exactly what's being asked of you, the language coming out of this interview doesn't create togetherness. Depending on how it's now handled internally, it could create greater insecurity and division. Not his best moment post-match.

If his answer to Forest's constant change is another major rebuild, we're going to end up treating the consequences of instability with yet more instability.

Hopefully relegation never enters the equation, but continuing to destabilise a team already struggling for form is hardly the way to make sure it doesn't.

01 Nov 2026 00:11:18
OK Not seen the OG interview or his statement, I just want him gone! I have a clear head and I know when someone is taking the pith! OG came to the WFCG to take them down and get a huge pay off!
Has he had a secret meeting with Nuno?
OG has stabbed the fan base and the club in the back, so that is a stackable offence!

Agree3 Disagree0

01 Nov 2026 08:11:05
I rarely post on the board, but like everyone else, feel strongly (to put it mildly) about where we find ourselves. With so many changes, eventually you stop getting instinctive football. You get hesitation, and at Premier League speed half a second looks like laziness, poor concentration or lack of commitment. Some are just not at the standard required.

Pereira hadn't proved he was the long-term answer, but he'd certainly earned the chance to start this season. Marinakis' impatience denied him that, and he has to own his part in the almighty mess that has followed.

Our players aren't passengers either. They're privileged to have an opportunity most can only dream of and need to adapt, fight and play with their hearts on their sleeves.

Equally, management isn't about forcing yet another formation on a squad simply because it worked somewhere else. "Zero compromises, buy in or leave” is concerning. Demand standards, absolutely, but understand the players you inherited, their strengths and weaknesses, and adapt your football to get the best from them. Responsibility for where Forest are now doesn't sit in one place. It runs from the boardroom to the dugout, to the pitch.

Go back further to our Messiahs, Clough and Taylor. They later acknowledged they broke up that great European Cup winning side too quickly. Different era, opposite end of the table and very different circumstances, of course, but there's still a lesson in it. Change isn't automatically progress. Sometimes the answer isn't another manager, rushed recruitment, another system or another clear out, it's getting more from what you already have.

For me, another snap decision involving such significant change in manager and philosophy wasn't the answer at all. Our owner got it completely wrong. We should have stayed with what we had at the end of last season and given it the chance it needed to develop.

01 Nov 2026 08:29:30
Great post Robbo.??.

01 Nov 2026 08:52:59
Well said RSH!!!

01 Nov 2026 04:33:22
Things seem pretty flat at the city ground. Since the shipping out of Vitor that and a plethora of decisions seem to have caused a serious downward spiral. Why was Hutchinson suddenly bombed yet NDoye elevated? Wood may have a bigger injury issue than we know but he is never utilised.

Williams is no left back and the unbalanced effect starts there. Murillo looks lost in a three and the midfield has no anchor. Sangare must be injured. Cho just a but part but at least he can shoot. Mgw just disappears and his fancy turns a flicks cost us critical possession.

Somewhere there might be a condition stating that mcatee and Delap have to start I don't know but stevie wonder could see that we seem a bunch of round pegs in square holes.

BTW, I think mcatee is better in possession than Mgw but the lack of accuracy from midfield is costing us. Corners, fee kicks attacking and defending still woeful. We insist on getting the ball wide and punting aimless crosses in. Without a Hutchinson for a Chris Wood it's toothless.

In summation, we lost a game at Palace when we should have been 5 nil up at half time. Only clueless Forest could manage that. Who's to blame?

Agree5 Disagree0

01 Nov 2026 07:42:17
Great post Rutters, good to have you back mate. Good to know the & knowledgable sensible old school original banter squad are still out there. Don't dissappear again ?.

01 Nov 2026 08:48:57
Its just hard to watch these days Larry. So commenting is unfair. What with 2 week international breaks, taking tge knee, garbage football. Anyway I actually laughed when I told the missus we lost 3-1 to Palace!!!

01 Nov 2026 11:50:49
Still waiting for some ackbowledgement from the England squad or Premier league for Henry Novak!.

01 Nov 2026 16:44:56
You will be waiting a long time Mossy.
Double standards always ?.

31 Oct 2026 22:44:49
OG may well leave but his interview is worth listening to. OG is direct, articulate and clearly a fundamentally very good manager (Palace, Frankfurt).

So beyond the shock of what he says and what it could lead to, here he is seemingly calling out a lack of discipline at the club, a lack of cohesion and professionalism. ‘From bottom to top' as he says it.

That may be partly his fault but it is far more likely to be a symptom of a rudderless club, chopping and changing managers every 2/3 months.

As I have said previously, the CEO was only appointed after the transfer window closed. We have had a range of managers, changing more often than many of us can now remember (is it 10 under our ownership now, or 11?). Loads of back office changes too.

It seems a bizarre and ultimately defeating way to run a club. As for how we would deal financially with a relegation if it happened, I've no idea but it could be truly dire.

Unless the way the club is run changes, it really wont matter who is our manager. Eventually your luck runs out.

Agree6 Disagree0

31 Oct 2026 23:36:48
Yes, and OGs may have run out.

31 Oct 2026 23:38:33
Very good post CAgen. I couldn't agree with you more mate.
I have one question that's bugging me though - OG obviously knew about the chaotic way our owner runs our club before he signed into this debacle. So, was he just looking for a quick payout before a 'better club' came along? I now suspect so.

01 Nov 2026 01:52:59
If he's such a good manager, why are players that were doing well under Vitor Pereira looking so useless now?

01 Nov 2026 03:41:16
I've posted regularly throughout the season stating how we will never win anything with Marinakas at the club. To repeat. A total nut job & laughing stock throughout the football world of football experts & journalists the way he picks then disposes of manages & staff. Got his fingers in to many pies clubs wise.
New 50 000 plus stadium, ? 9yrs & ain't even knocked a nail in yet apart from a few rusty shipping containers stuck in the corner.

Manager compensation sacking costs, eye watering amounts that would have brought a dozen decent strikers. As we sit below the mighty Hull & Coventry City anchored firmly in the relegation zone the abused fans are starting to smell the coffee at long last. Another manager will change nothing but his bank balance.

01 Nov 2026 08:15:02
RC - that's a fair question that I can't really answer (bar questions over positions etc) but I do think the constant change of manager, change in club officials, new ideas, played replaced etc, must make players confused. Surely we cannot doubt OG is a good manager? His trackrecord is excellent. Of the managers we have had with M's ownership, only 2 have been a success in Prem. It's the wider issues at the club in my view.

BL - 100% right. Has he been to a match this year?

31 Oct 2026 22:33:38
Just got back from the debacle that was the Forest game at Brentford

Said before the game that Ndoye and Milenkovic should not be in the team both not good enough for the premier League

I head Glasner in his post match interview said he's going to change things, I've been saying all season we should be playing a 4-3-3 system

Sels

Williams
Diamonde
Murrilo
Netz

Schlager
Gibbs White
Dominguez

McAtee
Delap
Hudson Odoi

The team I said against City next week was a piss take after a knee jerk reaction and 6 pints earlier.

Agree4 Disagree0

01 Nov 2026 01:51:47
Milenkovic was one of the two CBs who got us into Europe (we were in 2nd place and didn't drop down the table because of the CBs.
