Playing for a draw is a dangerous strategy. 1 point versus 3. Sooner win some and lose some overall points gained would be more. Negative tactics results in negative mindset. Let's have a go! Bournemouth were there for the taking. Frightened to make a substitution for fear of losing the fame is frankly shameful. We would only have lost 1 point but we could have won 3.

Agree11 Disagree0

Im with you mate there are teams above us that have lost more but they've also won more draws are dropped points since three for a win came in.
Scott parker showed the rught attitude and went to goodison in a positive way and took all three points, that's great considering they are in the drop zone and he's a young manager, but he took a positive view and won convincingly.

15 Feb 2021 17:57:57
I'm with both of you 200%!
"Eeee Ooohh Dares! Rodders Eeee Ohhhh Dares! "
💪💪💪.

CH gave an average Bournemouth to much respect, before facing us they had lost 4 out of their last 5 league games losing to Reading, Shef Wednesday, Dierby and Luton, I'm disappointed that Lolley and Taylor weren't bought on for the last 15 mins.

15 Feb 2021 19:45:38
Watching West Ham v Sheffield United who are losing 2-0 you wouldn'tthink it as . McGoldrick, Sharpe, and Osborne are all putting in a helluva shift. our lads take note!

15 Feb 2021 19:55:19
And if we had gone for the win and attacked attacked attacked and we got caught on the counter or that tactic didn't work which it probably wouldn't as we don't have the greatest of goalscorers up front at the minute and we got beat or thrashed you would be slating ch more tactics weren't great it was crap to watch but we got a good result against a high scoring team so I'm happy and look forward to giving ch a good couple of seasons ureddddsssss.

15 Feb 2021 19:56:26
Sure you’d all be saying this had we lost 1 nil.

15 Feb 2021 20:24:05
It was said earlier it is better to win some and lose some when looking to gain points.

So if Forest had won more games but lost a couple of the drawn games Forest would be in a better position.

If you assume that defeat is likely if you bring on one, maybe two sets of fresh legs when you are sixty to seventy minutes into a game you are holding your own then what is the point of bothering to turn up.

15 Feb 2021 20:25:42
Think your trying to make Bournemouth out as a niil nil is a scalp.
Since mid December their results are
Beat wycome 1.nil home
Draew away luton 00
Lost to brentford away 2 1
Lost away to reading 3 lost away to derby 1 0
Lost at home to Luton 0 1
Drew at home with millwall 1 1
Won away at stoke 0 1
Lost at home to sheff weds 1 2
Beat Birmingham 3 2 at home.
There wasn't anything much to be frightened of.

15 Feb 2021 20:38:30
The big difference, and the point I'm making is. if WE went 2 down, the heads would drop. while still sticking with one up top.
He'd bring zero subs on, while standing with his hands in his trunks.
Or maybe it's just me.
🤔🤔🤔.

That rogue is the best summary of life under hughton.

15 Feb 2021 21:01:25
So looking at the last game, and after the posts on here i'm about to be slated lol. Hughton played a different team Against Swansea. More attacking. And a lot on here were all for it until we got pummeled. Its going to be interesting. If we get beat will it be wrong to play defensive (if he does) now i agree we should have played at least one sub Saturday. But i still stand by hughton. As for Taylor did he not p#ss hughton off on the warm up the other day.

15 Feb 2021 21:18:11
But regardless of league or cup game they had won the last 2 games and confidence was on the up. League table doesn’t lie and Bournemouth are a top 6 team. When you’re down the bottom it’s about picking up points every game, keeping momentum going and not losing. Like you lot would accept relegation with CH saying well it was entertaining and at least we had a go.

15 Feb 2021 21:39:09
Yes league doesn't lie perks.
After picking up points in games where are we?
This is why we have different opinions
Look at it one way and its on the up .
Take a different view and its not.
I just don't go with "hes building something "
What by playing five loans we can't afford?

15 Feb 2021 21:43:44
We haven’t had a team that could go toe to toe with a team like Bournemouth for a long time . The only game we can play is frustrate them and try and them on the break or a set piece. The football is the same is last season don’t concede first and try and Nick one, we’re not nicking one often enough at the moment. One thing for sure though we’d have got smashed last season and on Saturday trying to play an expansive game against teams like Brighton . Our players just aren’t precise, agile, inventive or mobile enough.

15 Feb 2021 21:44:20
Bowiered it all depends on how you think.

My thinking is if you set up to contain you only have to make one mistake and your behind.

While you are letting them come at you and rarely venturing forward they do not worry about you.

If you show some positivity and show willingness to have a go at them they will worry about you scoring so will not go at you with the same gusto.

I'm for one minute saying Taylor has anywhere as near as much talent as George Best, because George best had more talent in his little finger than Taylor has in his whole body but George Best rarely trained but once on the pitch he played well.

Would you have not picked George Best because of his lack of training when he produced when playing.

Managers have to able to be above pettiness and be able to man manage players, Taylor has not been given a fair chance to show what he can do, or played to his strengths. Why.

15 Feb 2021 21:48:23
Excellent reply get forward mate.

15 Feb 2021 21:53:03
Perks i don't have to tell you hughton bigging up the game goes with managerial property.

15 Feb 2021 21:56:27
To meitsok to frustrate a team for so long then hit them with plan b.
Last season we had 9ne striker we now have three.
We have four wingers and for full backs .
But no change of tactics or personel prefer playing a central midfielder that's not fit to a winger?
Its crap
We won't go down but we won't go up either next season if we stick.
Sign his chosen five and wed be bankrupt and only one has the odd goal in him despite 15 shots a game.
Stick murray and taylor together or murray and grabvan i'm sure defenders in this league would struggle against that.

15 Feb 2021 21:57:51
I agree and disagree with some posts the football can be boring to watch sometimes the tactics can be mind bogling but some on here just don't like the manager full stop and if he won 40 games on the trot he wouldn't be good enough I know cause I was like that about freedman so I'm not slagging people off for there beliefs but I do think we have to put a stop to this changing managers every season its obviously not working fact a fact . so I stand by ch and hope he gets a good couple of seasons hope everyone's keeping well.

15 Feb 2021 22:05:43
so every body who wants the cv jab will have one by october, i get mine this saturday. that said we should expect to be back in the city ground around the begining of nov. do you think those who refuse the jab should be let back in. season card holders or not.

15 Feb 2021 22:12:27
Dam meant territory hahahaha dam dyslexic phone still playing up.

15 Feb 2021 22:14:37
Taylor isn’t playing because when he’s played he hasn’t offered enough . We’ve took a punt on a 30 year old who hasn’t had a glittering career but appeared to look ok in the championship last season . In all honesty though he’s not pulled up any trees and I doubt he will. I also doubt that hughton signed A 37 year old because Taylor annoyed him in training, it’s more likely to be because he’s not shown enough in the games he’s played and I for one wouldn’t disagree with hughton on that . Taylor was not going to fire us into the top six, he’s just not accomplished enough, he’s a decent back up though .

15 Feb 2021 22:25:33
Good point 2star. goes to what i said Saturday defence getting the headlines at home. But we know hughtons plan. Marmite as someone said.

15 Feb 2021 22:33:22
I agree 2star.

15 Feb 2021 22:37:35
Season ticket holders or not. Its all about health and safety in my eyes. Not going to get too much into politics. But doesn't the jab just stop that actual person getting it anyway?

15 Feb 2021 23:02:57
Ive always said we should not have signed him.
League one player
But he's here and we have to make use of what we have.
Murray might have scored two against wycombe but don't rely on that to continue at his age and with 3 games every 8 days.
Thats why i say play two strikers.
We have the wingers so play to your strengths?

15 Feb 2021 23:04:30
no you can still catch it, granted a small chance, its about 20pr cent, but if every one in the ground was imunised then you should be fine.

15 Feb 2021 23:19:23
Having the first jab gives very limited protection, the advice is still to be as cautious as if you haven't had it. You r only fully protected when you have your bigger one,12 weeks later "well perhaps".

15 Feb 2021 23:51:00
It’s a bit of a theme Bowie , we seem to sign a lot of late 20 year olds who’ve had mediocre careers as if they might suddenly become world beaters here . I think Taylor works hard but he’s no ace marksman

16 Feb 2021 07:57:59
According to studies 1st jab offers you 70% protection, a little more than ‘ very limited ‘ I would say,

16 Feb 2021 08:13:50
2star fact remains even in a team that doesn’t create much, Taylor has started 15 games and scored 5 goal still 1in 3 he’s been given no chance,

16 Feb 2021 08:49:29
Good luck with that Stevie f . The science and research begs to differ.

16 Feb 2021 09:25:27
Please read up on Israel vax programme, they have govern their citizens the second jab 3 weeks after the first because, .

16 Feb 2021 09:45:36
Stevie, it’s his all round play that I judge him on, he lacks guile and cunning and he’s not exactly a spring chicken learn that skill. He’s got a role to play for us but if hughton felt he offered a rounded game a genuinely don’t think he’d have signed Murray .

16 Feb 2021 09:58:33
Iamsince1951 that is the science and research look online.

16 Feb 2021 11:37:12
Yes I know Stevie f, they just haven't tested it over 12 weeks yet, first UK woman who has taken it has had blood tests that have not been published yet . They know that the straight of the vax is reducing in the body so how do they know what it will be at 12 weeks . Guesswork, that's why the government is non committal, results, results results. Hope you saw the head scientist from Nottm Queens med on channel 4 news giving a candid opinion, all SAGE could say was, "we think it might"

16 Feb 2021 13:24:36
Iamsince1951 I’ll accept the findings til I hear otherwise, i’m Not going to spend my life looking on the negative side of everything, , have stopped watching the bbc because of their doomsday predictions, every glimmer of hope is crushed by them, so I’m optimistic that the trials are being replicated, certain people seem to want us in lockdown forever,
