2 comments from yesterday’s game.,
Firstly can someone tell our goalkeeper to not leave it until the last second to make his clearance also bit to chip it into the wings for our smallest players Knockeart and Freeman to do something with. Only a matter of time before someone charges his clearances down and in any event we give possession back to them with a throwing. Down the centre so we’ve at least got a chance with the 2nd ball. Also he nonchalantly dropped an easy cross which we got away with. More positivity please .
Second, CH, last 15 to 20 Lolley for Freeman, Taylor for Murray? Fresh legs and all that?! Overall though a good point and a disciplined performance against a very good team.

Thats how we play stokey any attack is a long ball from the keeper or full backs or defenders trying to find knockheart.

My only worry about the season is the amount of players on loan getting a game. now i'm not being negative. But i look at Taylor as i pointed out yesterday how long before he gets a game. when the summer does arrive i know we need a good clear out. But how many do we bring in. For cloughs sake don't drench us in sh#te again. if matty cash =14 players what's worrall 12.its just something we need to look at moving forward.

I know one thing Bowiered, when "the summer does arrive". I'll be out my back garden necking a few frothy ones!

I’ve never seen a goalkeeper that’s so awful with the ball in the air, yet very good with the ball on the floor coming at him. Surely we must have identified this with regards to his coaching.

Like your thinking rogie 👌.

What i'm saying is, its like flat packed furniture. Its better to buy something that lasts. Than something falling to pieces to quickly. Ok ok buy young there you go that's what i'm on about. But get a decent scout on him for cloughs sake.

Although most knew what to expect under this manager waiting to find entertainment on the pitch with Forest is like waiting for carbon to turn into diamonds. 😁.

Rogie i neck a few in the back garden most nights its 40degreesC

I actually think samba is confident in the air. he's been playing well archie. but i can understand stokeys comments. Again hardest position on the pitch. Not just a shotstopper but a playmaker. Takes me back to clough. Build your team around keeper and centre forward.

Bowie, the fact we’ve had to get a 37 year old on loan when we signed Taylor in the summer is my worry . It says a lot about Taylor wouldn’t you say? poor signing in my opinion and we could add Taylor to a long, long list of abject failure - over several decades - of striker signings for forest . We’ve got probably a 1 in 6 success rate on average with recent failures being Bonatini, Mir, Soudani, Ansafarid, Cummings and possibly Taylor . Put another way only grabban has been relatively successful - Very poor from the club.

2 star i totally agree with you mate. But in hindsight i think Taylor could be played in a different position. For me he didn't poach enough for a striker. Finding his way on the flanks far too often. Could there not be an opportunity for him to play behind murray. As for grabban i just don't know what to believe mate. Is there any concrete evidence he's going yet. i'm going back to how taylor left Charlton. Seems a hard man to keep happy. And in all honesty he did have quite a choice on where to go . i just think we could fck up on another decent player leaving.

Garry Birtles had the same criticism of taylor saying he does all his best work chasing and out wide and that he would do better staying more central.
One thing you can't fault taylor for is his workrate though.
It appears he has a lot to say and maybe that is going against him?

14 Feb 2021 19:21:28
But he's got talent ff79 just don't want to see him wasted mate.

14 Feb 2021 19:36:03
Think its been made crystal clear with team selection that he's now third choice striker.

14 Feb 2021 20:16:46
The fact we have so many wingers
Knockheart lolley ameobi mighten freeman?
Youd think it would be an idea to play two strikers?

14 Feb 2021 22:18:38
2star I think ansafarid might have been worth persevering with,

Just picking up on stokeyred made me think back to dave beasant (blast from the past) Wimbledon totally relied on him lol. great keeper though and did well for the reds.
