New to the site so go easy on me gents!

I for one am delighted with the appointment of Hughton, my fears of appointing another continental manager who doesn't know the Championship have been allayed.

Hughton won promotion with Newcastle, Brighton and kept Norwich up - two promotions makes for an impressive CV at this level and Rams fans are furious that we have someone so competent in charge.

I feel somewhat sorry for the coaching team that have just joined, although apparently they are to stay on for the most part. Colin Calderwood's return would be welcomed though.

Rhyme or reason cannot be applied to Nottingham Forest, we buy 13 players and then sack the manager who will want to put his own mark on the squad. Nevertheless, the owners are supportive and will likely sign one or two that he wants. Anthony Knockaert would be a huge coup on-loan and a front three of Knockaert -- Grabban/ Taylor -- Lolley would be formidable at this level.

Progress has been made on trimming down the squad, but there's still room for Clough, Bong, Hefele and one or two others to depart. We probably have one too many right backs, one too many centre backs, one too few wingers and too many defensive minded midfielders.

The question over playing style and tactics will no doubt be on everyones lips also. Looking back, Hughton has typically played 4-3-3 or 4-4-1-1. He is not an attacking manager, he is pragmatic but his teams are organised, disciplined and built on strong foundations. From my perspective it would be refreshing to not feel the opposition will score with every attack. We also have attacking players who have sufficient flair and pace to cause problems - especially if Knockaert is added to the ranks.

What would your first XI be?

For me a 4-3-3 :

------------------Samba

Christie ----Worrall----McKenna----Ribeiro

------Freeman----Arter----Colback

-------Lolley----Grabban----Ameobi

Or a 3-4-3

------------------Samba

--------Worrall----Soh----McKenna

Christie----Arter--------Colback----Ioannou

--------Lolley----Grabban----Freeman

Keen to hear your thoughts gents.

Arter, and McKenna have both pulled out of their countries internationals so it will be a while before they play for Forest.

Calderwood is at Northampton having just taken a new role so will be staying there.

We need Arter and Mckenna for the start of Hughtons reign. You build teams around these lads so hopefully they re available nexy week. If not we ned some more good signings.

Hughton was very positive on TalkSport earlier - realised he doesn't have long to evaluate the squad but wants to balance it out and is keen to add to what's here. Aside from Knockaert I think we are light in attacking midfield having let Carvalho and Johnson go out on loan.

Welcome Grantham-reds
Expect Blackburn to go for 4-3-3 at home they are not a physical side and currently don’t know injury status is so would go 4-2-3-1 at this moment in time:
Samba
Christie-Dawson-Soh-Riberio
Colback-Sow
Mighten-Freeman-Ameobi
Taylor
Subs
Diablo-Blackett-Figs-Yates-Carlos-Lolley-Grabban.

Arter and McKenna absolutely nailed on to be a big part of the season ahead, class players .
Also thought Loannou was excellent and could of had 4 assists but for Grabbans terrible form.
Definitely put Taylor in and Freeman looked better as a 10.
Maybe a couple of the managers favourites coming in and who knows, the Premiership is in sight.
