Reading some of the optimistic posts re the coming season. The king is dead long live the king
A reality check is called for. By all accounts the players last season were so disrespectfull too our management team that some were turning up late for their job, one so late he missed the bus for a match. Guediora was so disruptive when dropped he refused to warm down boasting he was now, technically on international duty, which he did not get the call up for. oneil was fuming and we the supporters are expecyed to forgive and forget?
A nucleus of lazy disruptive so called senior pros caused mayhem last season. Players on fat contracts who know they are untouchable and i'm msny ways treat us the fans fraudulantly. Remember AK after the Ipswich game By all accounts a senior pro had undermined Karanka. So their is a poison in this less than average squad and they betrayed us and martin.
Remember the Fawaz family, running a mickey mouse league in Qatar? He allowed the players to have direct contact with him and thst put paid to a number of our gaffers.
Our current owner has had success with a huge team in a micky mouse league, is under suspicion for match fixing among other worrying allegations. He has allowed players access to bicker about oneil, a swift axe on a decent manager and club legend who has not even been able to shuffle the stagnant pack.
The appointment of another carlos kickaball with no experience in this country let alone league is bewildering. Bringing in 6 new assistants, not players, is going to be, not interesting, but laughable.
Our owner seems ruthless and desperate. All his eulogising about oneil then no support over insubordination and condensing a crap squad is pure crass. He is a despot and his empire is crumbling. Promises of redevelopment is all well and good but abstract failure to capitilise on the feel good factor from the sold out saturdays is negligent. We are a shambles in comparrison to the average teams around us. This man has no 5 year plan not even a 5 month plan as in the fate of martin. He is building his empire on sand. You may sense in Marikinakis i have no trust.
Hope is all we can wrap our support in and keep our sense of humour!

Wow pal gud post one you should send to Marinkas himself, it reads like a statement from fans of Nottingham Forest. Couldn't agree more, maybe O'Neil wasn't the right man but no need to throw him in the cow dung then rub his face in it.

Come on redtree you don't honestly believe this squad has quality, it has a few agreed but needs four quality signings and keeping lolley aswell.
The bad apples amongst them have already played two managers up and are still there, it will need them gone and the quality signings.

We came 9th with a defensive crisis, change of manager and our top goal scorer being injured. We aren't far off. I am not buying into this bad apple stuff. I think the board has conveniently blamed the players (they've probably dropped the story) to disguise the fact they made the wrong decision in appointing MON in the first place.

We never put more than two wins together all season when it mattered and you must be convinced that this time they've made the right appointment?
Only time will tell but without some pace and quality and the manager getting used to the championship in record time, it will be difficult to improve especially with so many players in their twilight years who could not stay fit last season.

Didn’t put two wins together but were on course for the playoffs. Didn’t say he was the right appointment all I have said is I am excited and we’ve got some quality players not a total write off. You can be as negative as you like but every season I believe we can do something meaningful otherwise what’s the point!

Dropped the ball against Norwich and Villa.

Read again. Hopefully we don’t have a defensive crisis, top scorer doesn’t get injured and there’s no managerial change, . Like last season when we finished 9th. Once again if you want to go in to this season believing we will be worse than good luck with it.
