In reflecting on what is hopefully the calm before the storm this window I seem to remember that for many seasons we were crying out for a holding midfielder and leader on the pitch and break up play?
We ended up with McKenna who highlighted the importance of the role albeit he was past his best.
In the last season or so we recruited an overload of similar types who have sorted out our defensive frailties but we are short of creatives.
Therefore building from the back the best guy on our books to protect the back line is Yacob. .
For me make him captain buy some full backs and attacking midfielders plus a class striker and job done?

Gazzi, I said Colback was one of the best midfielders in the Championship but he is not our player. Yacob is under contract and currently the best man for the job!

Red. If Yacob gets pace around him. Agree. I still think we need much more mobility especially in midfield.
