Belgian striker Hugo Cuypers 22 playing in French Division 2 being lined up as back -up for GrabOne in January.

Another olympiacos player red?
Suppose we are bound to get one good one sooner or later.
Hope we go for a bit more quality than that.

2.) 19 Oct 2019 10:18:29
Looks good on the ball in and around the box.
Not like you to condemn a player before giving them a chance 79 lol
Just a rumour and your slating him 🤣.

3.) 19 Oct 2019 10:36:32
He looks pretty good to me.

4.) 19 Oct 2019 18:55:56
Not slating him red dog we just haven't had a decent player come from olympiacos and he's scoring in French second tier could be anything I'd just prefer a proven championship striker.

5.) 19 Oct 2019 19:58:39
We are doing what Watford did to go up. our link is Olympiacos where as Watford got their players from an Italian club.

6.) 19 Oct 2019 20:18:30
Watford got some good players from them we haven't had one yet.
We will go up but not with olympiacos players coming here.

7.) 19 Oct 2019 23:38:59
Thats not true. Boukalakis was decent.

8.) 20 Oct 2019 19:06:39
Was he really? 🤔.

15 Oct 2019 09:50:55
Sabri looks like signing out of contract 21 year old French starlet Ilyas El Khabchi an attacking midfielder with a good goal scoring record in lower league French football.

He's been on trial and could be one for the future to challenge Uncle Albert C and Lolley pop?

Redinexile

1.) 15 Oct 2019 11:25:39
He scored yesterday for the U23s. My guess is he would be an alternative to Silva and Carvalho. He's on a free and only 21 years old and I'd trust Sabri - if he's any good let's get him.

2.) 15 Oct 2019 14:17:03
A nineteen year old called Liam Sole out performed everyone them all in that game.

3.) 15 Oct 2019 15:01:30
We should make him our Sole!

4.) 15 Oct 2019 22:20:18
He’s got a sister from Dover.

5.) 16 Oct 2019 05:01:43
Ahhh Sole bless him 😜.

6.) 16 Oct 2019 07:55:25
Bis Sole purpose is to be a Forest great.

7.) 16 Oct 2019 18:35:57
And a famous brother called 'David" 😂😂😂.

8.) 16 Oct 2019 21:10:32
Sounds like he's not a donkey then?
So not likely to become an ass hole like those two derby players. 🤣🤣🤣.

9.) 17 Oct 2019 18:11:32
Only two of them?

06 Oct 2019 12:52:08
Really pleased to see Matty Cash is maturing into a top home grown player who can play in different positions. Already scored 9 goals in 88 appearances at 22.

Compare him to Benny Osborn who at 25 only scored 15 in 212 appearances delpoyed more often than not in a more advanced position on the pitch.

Matty looks like he is heading for a more successful career while Benny has hit a ceiling so in my book great business to sell and invest stronger more gifted players. No more games where we get bullied or outpaced in midfield. Long may it continue.

Onward and Upward.

Redinexile

1.) 06 Oct 2019 14:10:14
I think long term his best career option is at right-back.

2.) 06 Oct 2019 14:58:47
i think Cash is probably the best RB we’ve had for years, last one close was probably Gunther.

3.) 06 Oct 2019 16:30:50
Good old Gunther 🤣.

4.) 06 Oct 2019 18:35:42
Matty has made right back his position he's been man of the match last four games and just gets better with each game.
Top quality along with worrall, just shows the academy players can make it.

5.) 06 Oct 2019 18:47:06
Gunter must have set a record for the number of goals conceded on his back post? Remember the days when we couldn't defend a ball played in from wide to the back post? You could set your watch by it!

05 Oct 2019 19:44:18
3 games in 7 days coming up after yet another international break.
3 wins the target but we really need Jenks/ Daws/ Alfie back in contention to ensure we keep fresh and the tempo up?
COYR's.

Redinexile

1.) 05 Oct 2019 22:13:17
Prefer no break red as were on a roll,
We've shown that the squad can cope with injuries so be good to get players back but the break for me gives Lamouchi even more time to work with the players and make us even more awesome.
Only an injury to grabban or cash can derail our season.

2.) 06 Oct 2019 08:59:55
Sow will be 3/ 4 weeks if a minor hamstring problem but as you say we have the squad to cope with it. Semedo coming back and Bostock desperate to play a part. Surely Jenkinson will be close after the break as well. Our squad strength will carry us through the season unlike other teams who will weaken when key players get injured. Only question mark for us is the obvious one. Would Mir step up if Grabban was out for a while?

Well done lads. Comprehensive team victory today and a major statement of intent.

PS At least you showed the other Trent Bridge team how not to bottle it!

Redinexile

1.) 21 Sep 2019 18:15:08
Are you sure you meant comprehensive not hanging on lol.

2.) 21 Sep 2019 22:09:48
It's only called hanging on if shots were really trouble to our keeper, he dealt with things comfortably and Barnsley couldn't score as they lack the real quality to beat the likes of samba dawson and the star man worrall.
Too many of you worry how things were in the past, we are different under Lamouchi and one thing that stands out the most is that we are far fitter than under previous managers.
We press high up the pitch and have pace to attack, something that's been missing for many a year.

3.) 21 Sep 2019 23:04:42
The team came through and by all accounts we never looked like conceding given we are comfortable sitting back and defending these days?

4.) 22 Sep 2019 11:54:36
Fm79 you are right Samba coped with Barnsley having some good shots on goal but I think hanging on is when the other team are in your final third for a long period of time and your keeper is having to make some good saves. We do have a goalkeeper and defence that are the most solid we have had for a good amount of time which is great to see, but hang on we did.

5.) 22 Sep 2019 18:38:45
The result was never in doubt once we scored, you sound like a lot who sit around me worrying if we aren't three nil up.
It was a comfortable win in what will be a demanding week.

6.) 22 Sep 2019 20:20:46
Unlike some I do not expect to wipe the floor with the struggling teams. I just said as I saw it. We are more resilient, and have five or six players capable of scoring, long may it last.

7.) 22 Sep 2019 22:10:37
So if we are more resilient why worry?
I wasnt in the slightest and at the moment we are more an away sort of side that soaks it up and hits on the break, but when you are confident in not conceding then there is nothing to worry about?
Like you say we have quite a few capable of scoring and last week at Swansea could have had four this week a couple, but in both games we never looked liked conceding so all is well.

8.) 23 Sep 2019 19:11:24
Ff. I don't know if i sit near you or not pal but we were definately hanging on towards the end. Cash and Grabban almost made a right dogs bolix of it down our defensive right. Ok they were both playing out of position but hanging on. Definately.

9.) 23 Sep 2019 21:44:04
No gazza you were hanging on as I was never one bit worried, cash was injured and grabs filled in, but even if you get past dawson and worrall you have to beat samba and he's a class act.
So stop worrying when we are under the cosh because we will be most games home or away as we are a counter attacking side not one that will control the game.

We lost a game of football get over it! We are not going to win every game.

If we land Gayle or ANO then Grabban will sit behind and our 2 first choice holding midfielders will come to the fore and we will have a good run in.

Prefer not to have the pressure of an auto spot at this stage so long as we stay in contention.

I think most of us are over it, some on here just pointing out the obvious, that our home form is holding us back, it’s a discussion point that’s all, not some great act of betrayal, fff79 seems to have taken his bat and ball home, (sadly) because people are making comments exactly the same as he was making during the entire reign of ak s reign,

2.) 01 Dec 2019 13:34:30
Our team is set up as a counter attacking team that can win games with less than 40% possession therefore playing away suits us better.

Whereas playing at home against teams that sit in and play 2 banks of four we struggle against.

Imo opinion because of the way we play Silva and Carvalho CAN'T play in the same side. As one of them will end up as a luxury.

Silva has the game that suits us better as he has a tackle in him which Joao doesn't.

My team fitness allowing would be

SAMBA

CASH
WORRALL
FIGEREDO
RIBERIO

WATSON
SOW

LOLLEY
SILVA
SEMEDO

GRABBAN.

3.) 01 Dec 2019 16:21:19
Agree - carvalho will be moved on in Jan I think.

4.) 01 Dec 2019 20:54:31
Know he won't it's more what some here want he has a part to play and will.
Always looking for a player to blame and he's the new whipping boy.
Right up there with a game in hand an away record that's top notch beat the sheep twice but not enough for some🤔🤪🤪🤪.

5.) 01 Dec 2019 21:36:57
I’m not sure you know that .

6.) 01 Dec 2019 21:46:26
Know he doesn't 🤣.

7.) 01 Dec 2019 21:50:31
But why would you know he's off?
The team wernt that bad we had opportunities but didn't take them that happens in football, listen to the crowd they love him, so you few on here are right about him and the majority haven't got a clue 🤔🤔.

8.) 01 Dec 2019 22:01:42
Ff779, I always had you down as a sensible bloke who made his point and accepted others opinions mate, but now you seem just to want a pop at everyone who disagrees with you, what happened?

This is the banter forum Stevie not the agree to disagree forum! Get with the program mate!

11.) 01 Dec 2019 22:28:30
Stevie mate you need to look at your own posts and see you took on everyone with some very fiery posts .
That's your decision and so is mine this season is the best ever but some want even more, nothing will be for them.
This club from 1965 have been a great club for me, I've seen things that I could never have imagined to be a reality for a small club like us like winning the European cup twice the league cup and the the first division championship when we missed it in 66 and came second I never thought I'd see that.
Maybe that's the problem and everyone expects more than is achievable, but this season is something special for a change and I don't and won't accept any negativity about it .
For the first time in 20 years we are committed, competitive, and have a good coach.
Time to be happy get behind this new era and enjoy, if you can't then I feel sorry for all of you as you can't see what's happening.
Ak was trouble said so and he was so Lamouchi is quiet and let's his team do the talking and won't fall away like ak with a sulk.

12.) 02 Dec 2019 06:52:23
Ff779 think you’ll find most of my “ fiery posts ‘ were aimed at people who set themselves up as amateur moderator, / head happy clapper mate, I’m happy with the set up at the club at mo, but seemingly unlike your good self see that everything is not perfect, and if people want to air their views on the ares that need improving then that’s not exactly a treasonable offence. This manager is doing ok, but still has lots to prove, he cost us at Wigan, and his style is no different from ak’s who with all due respect you spent his whole time slating as dull, you and I cover the same eras I reckon, and I have never held with this view that some have that forest fans expect to win another euro championship, most I know feeling lucky and privileged to have been there and seen it, but believe this club and more especially this city are premier league if you look at the clubs that are in there, glad your still posting mate, never doubted it really lol.

13.) 02 Dec 2019 06:53:40
Red cyclist yeah thanks for the advice.

14.) 02 Dec 2019 12:28:22
Hes won more games than ak and can put back to back wins together won eleven already ak only managed 16 in 52 games and could not put two wins together and never got the defence to be a solid unit.
Much better than ak.

15.) 02 Dec 2019 12:40:54
AK was a proven winner with Middlesbrough but the baggage he carries prevented success with Forest. Sabri has come in with little to no knowledge of the Championship and made AK look a right chump while managing us.

16.) 02 Dec 2019 12:44:11
Only at the end of the season will we know if he is much better than ak, the home performances are pretty similar.

17.) 02 Dec 2019 16:15:43
Stevie, they’re identical - Saturday was just like the Preston and QPR games last season . Hope we have a better festive period than last year mate .

28 Nov 2019 10:34:41
Dominant, relentless, grinding, excellent game management. 11 MoM performances turning The Breadman into toast. In Sabri we trust

QPR played like Forest under his reign. powder puff midfield, no end result and no defensive structure. Another Scottish waster favourite to boot plus Wells who has always lacked pace and needs another striker to feed off. Manning should be playing in the NFL as a kicker!

As for the commentary team having a pop at Samba his confidence is infectious and he takes no chances with his shot stopping by always making sure he punches away from goal. Best keeper in the league by a country mile?

Onward and Upward. We are going up.

COYR's ❤.

Redinexile

1.) 28 Nov 2019 12:10:12
I have to agree RIE. It doesn't seem to matter who Sabri chooses to play, they all do a great job and what is more they are in there helping each other - Watson breaks things up well, Ameobi giving selfless passes for others to score, Cash and Carvalho running hard at defences (with Ribeiro back that will be even better) Grabban scoring regularly, and inspiring them all at the back a goalie (Mr.Cool) who refuses to be beaten and sets off attacks. Joint 3rd with a match in hand is not what many expected at this stage of the season, but if we wallop Cardiff people are going to be even more frightened of us.

2.) 28 Nov 2019 22:37:19
Red we are the real deal and it's great that we have three academy players starring in our team.
I'm so pleased for worrall in particular as I think he got a pasting on here at times for mistakes when he was playing alongside a failed left back that some thought had become a good central defender because he could kick a ball 60 yards.
All about partnerships in the spine of a side and colback fox are no longer part of that and guess what?
We look better.

2.) 24 Nov 2019 11:57:44
Bristol City will feel embarrassment knowing they could not get a shot on target 🎯 at home, and could not score against 10 men for 34 minutes.

20 Nov 2019 09:22:28
A very sad day for non league football following the legal ruling on Ossett Utd following a player to player injury claim.

The club owe £135k in damages and costs following a match tackle. Standard club insurance does not cover player to player claims and is prohibitively expensive. several thousands.

The legal floodgates are now open to any match injury which means grass roots football is dead on its feet as no club will be able to afford to carry insurance. All players will have to self insure to play taking the cost of playing our national game beyond most young people.

Another example of the blame snowflake culture which creates couch potatoes

THE WORLD HAS TRULY GONE MAD!

Well played boys. Back to getting the ball forward quickly on the counter.

Yates makes this difference in Sow's and Semedo's absence.

Looking forward to roast lamb and mince sauce on my birthday next week!

COYR's.

Redinexile

1.) 03 Nov 2019 10:00:43
I said we needed Yates as box to box man and we've got him. The problem is still Silva, he can't defend, and yesterday gave the ball away on the edge of our box right at the end. Yates can be Sow for now, but Semedo ought to replace Silva when fit. That would give much more free rein to Lolley to be the player all over the pitch creating stuff. Cash got found out yesterday by Lua Lua, but we haven't got anyone as fast to be our right back. Still mustn't complain as it ought to gradually come together. Beating Direby will bring more confidence. Yours sincerely "obvious panic fan."

Think on:
1. Dawson was sold when we were skint and would have stayed for another promotion push before stepping up.

2. We do not need to sell Worrall who is red through and though and will bide his time.

3. Arsenal are in disarray and Dick Emery will be gone by Xmas.

4. Arsenal's new manager needs oven ready Premiership defenders to solve their short term problem and arrest the falling attendances and owners cash cow.

5. More chance of Ozil joining us than Worrall going! 🤣.

Forest will sign a proven top class striker rather than risk Tyler as first back up. Happy to have him back as he could make an impact coming in from the flanks to mix it up.
More likely to sign someone like Hoarau.

Bruce needs to sell Gayle to upgrade his squad in Jan so forget a loan. As there will be 4/ 5 suitors from our league you cannot argue with the asking price?
Whether Forest want to pay it is another matter!
We have a good recruitment team so I'm backing them to find a gem that gives us a sell on value or pinch the Arsenal lad on loan at Leeds?
