So, what are our thoughts at the conclusion of the Jan transfer window comrades?
Personally, I think it’s been sensible. Specialist left back instead of having to use centre backs on the flanks like Savona, Abbott and Morato. Goalkeeper cover also ( upgrade as well, Ortega has got to be better than Victor, especially with Sels potentially out for a while). Big target man acquired to replace Woody and/ or Taiwo? Support for Jesus up top.
Even better, Zinchenko and Luiz gone, jury’s out on Kalimuendo but I thought he never looked fit.
On the whole I’m glad we didn’t spaff 48 million on Larsen or go anywhere near Mateta. Palace are going for broke I think.
Forget the big boys, they are just doing what the big boys (to whom FFP doesn’t apparently apply) do.

I would've liked to see a midfielder come in to replace Luiz but other than that I'm relatively pleased with it.

Loaned out half a dozen Academy lads to lower league teams as well, with a view to them gaining experience, plus hardly spent owt and got rid of a couple of high wage earners.
Of course, time will tell….

Mcadem and Hammond signed on loan by Northampton with a view to a permanent transfer, both 21 and same as osong going to Fleetwood
They won't make it at premier level so freeing up room for younger players coming through.

A clear signal to me that SD and Friends are on borrowed time.
