I saw a print out of the expenditure of these council clowns, they actually paid an advisory company ( probably one of their pals) 800k to advise them how to save money, ! Clowns, they should think about how much Forest attract into the city, and cultivate it rather than trying to rip them off,

Stevie, the paying of public money to consultants is my absolute bugbear mate. It’s basically done to avoid making decisions by senior careerist managers and for self protection at our expense. This culture is rife in all our institutions, NHS, Police, Armed Forces, politicians local and national.
I was fortunate in my Police Service to have old school senior Officers who ‘ s mantra was “For Gods sake make a decision. If it’s made in good faith and to the best of your abilities and I’ll always back you”. And they almost invariably did.
I made hundreds of decisions any one of which could have had serious repercussions and people getting killed. I once sat down and worked out a list of people who would be on my back if I got it wrong, including Police Complaints, the Courts, Solicitors, Barristers, Judges, the Home Office, Coronors the Press …… the list was endless.
Some of our leaders nowadays would rather ?themselves before they decided which bog to use!
