Ok reds again quiet night friday nostalgia night.
Tonight reds i would like to ask whos your favourite manager and why? Now again this cannot be a forest manager as it would undoubtedly be repetitive.
Now mine would be Arsene Wenger.
Reason. The bloke had humble beginnings, learnt from his dad a village manager. Now don't get me wrong i know he's marmite.
He brought strict fitness/ diet regimes into football.
Did brilliant against the jock of man utd (hate saying his name)
Could buy a player for nothing.
Left his team in a very healthy position with money.
Could play a player in a complete different position and make him confident with it. 7 FA cups 3 premier leagues, 7 community shields. Just saying.

Ian Hollaway mate. brilliant one liners, he once said after one of his teams beat Liverpool "I was shopping with the missus, and just started to swing the trolley round and round". Great bloke, and mad as "Cabbage"!

Wenger did a lot of good but he always infuriated me with how he was quick to point out if a opposition player had so much a breathed heavily on one of his players but when one of his players put their studs in one of the opposition players his reply was always i could not see anything from where i was.
My favourite manager was Ranieri for taking Leicester to the PL title against the odds, after that Frank Clarke for third in the PL.

Rogie Holloway as you said mad as a hatter. And i love his patter on efl mate. money ranieri. Another to be sh#t on. By Leicester and Chelsea. Brilliant mate. As for frank . Clough knew what he was doing mate.

I should not have put Frank as you said no Forest managers because Clough and Taylor have to be the best of all time but i thought Frank achievement deserved a mention. Ranieri was treated badly, he does not even come across as someone that causes trouble which makes it odd he got treated like he did.

Evening all, probably be Bobby Robson, used to make me laugh when he'd get his players names wrong. He only seen them near enough everyday. As a manager he's respected everywhere he's been, also a decent bloke.

When Holloway was manager of Leicester he lived in Loughborough and just round the corner from me in a big posh house. He also used my local for a pint and sat in the lounge, i was in the bar and spotted him so popped in to have a word, “hello mate†i said, “I think you are the best manager Leicestershire have ever hadâ€, bearing in mind they were second bottom at the time. He looked at me gone out? “I’m Forest†said I, “B#stard†he said and laughed his head off. 😂.

Mvred bobby robson total gent, I explained on here before my short meeting, by chance with him at the paddock at wetherby races on a freezing cold afternoon, ( it always seemed to be freezing at wetherby! ) a total gent treated hideously by the press, I think the stress of that time with England, and the disgusting abuse he received, couldn’t have helped his well being, sadly later had the terrible ill health,
