Redred this is typical of forest.
Each transfer we seem to drag our heels.
With the deadline on friday forest are cutting it short for more players to come in.
Everyone has known for months we are over reliant on grabben and need another striker but as yet nothing.
This is a fantastic time and opportunity that may never come again so marinakis if you are wanting the premier league it so close yet so far away. dig deep and get us another striker and freeman asap.

We can't afford to gamble, if we spend say £12m and don't go up other teams will know that we will probably need to sell players to keep within FFP which will drive down the transfer value of such players and don't forget the Carvalho burden, he costs us around £3m per year with around £9m still outstanding, and like SL says these players have got us into the position we're in and they have the respect and support of SL, IMO we will spend carefully with one eye on next season if we don't go up and be stronger next season.

Marinakis stated it is promotion or he will be gone.
This is the best opportunity we will get.
Forget next season promotion is within grasp.

How can the owner say the head coach will be gone if we do not get promoted yet not back him when we have a sniff of promotion. That tells me either the owner is being too cautious and could come unstuck, or he did not expect us to be so close to promotion at this time of the year and would rethink getting rid of the head coach should we just miss out.

BRON. this was stated when SL was hired.
Think about it. SL is on a short contract and if he doesn't fulfil the requires addressed to him it's easier for him to be released.
It does sound daft but marinakis doesn't take prisoners when it comes to what he wants.
You can't take anything away from SL as he has done amazing things in his short tenure here.

What I don’t get is marakinous spent 13m on calvalho who had barely played any first team football at Benfica and might not cut it in championship. Yet it seems he won’t go out a spend on proven championship players like wells freeman who would take us to the next level.
Especially with us being so close to automatic promotion.
If it fails we’d be in an even better position for next season but maybe at the expense of selling cash.
I’d understand him being cautious if we weren’t in playoffs.
But with where we are. We should go for it.
Hope I’m wrong. But this costa fella won’t make any difference.

Costa will probably be just that a horse.
If his ratio of goals is 1in 4 in noddy leagues he’s been playing it will be about 1in 8 in championship.
