Only one new player and at least a dozen to get rid of so far. Underwhelming.

It’s still the start of preseason. We have to have teams who want to take the players off of us, we can’t just cancel the contracts because we’d have to pay them off. As for not getting players in, we’ve had the new guy in for a week, I’d be more worried that we’d be moving too quickly if we’d signed players by now. I would rather us wait until the last day and get considered choices than buy players willy nilly and end up with more players we’d need to ship out next summer.

No matter how you dress it up the sequence of events in the last two weeks are a total cluster F***. Amateur management by the club reminiscent of the Fawaz tenure . that doesn’t mean we’re not better off long term but this has been poorly managed and is no way to prepare for a long season in the championship. I’m sure deep down the Marinakis clan know it’s not great either.

After agree 2star and I really hope this bloke proves us all wrong but the way everything has been done amazes me we're going to end up with a lot of foreign freebies nobody wants and no English football knowledge a very big gamble this season also can see lolleys being sold.

Bsered, If you expect more than one player to have come in by now you surprise me.
Think about it, we literally got to the edge of when the pre season starts then the owner pulls the rug from under Martin, wrapped up in it and threw it out.
In hardly any time at all a new rug was delivered with the new manager, in a short time he had to access the players he inherited. He by the sounds of it likes players with pace, which the only signing has so we still signed him.
With the new manager having knowledge of the foreign market, and players from that market being cheaper than the English market the search for talent has to then take longer.
One player, Muric has been said to still be on holiday, and might join us, Silva is said to following Forest on social media so he could be joining us.
As for players leaving, most will be sent out on loan as they will want to see out their contracts with us before finding another club as we probably pay far in excess of what they can get elsewhere, and they will deliberately be very picky which clubs they are willing to go to.
So chill out, have your favourite tipple and enjoy the roller-coaster that is Nottingham Forest untill the season starts.
