Anyone for a Van hooijdonk, rumour about piere's son sydney being a target in jan, 20 year old ST 8 goals in 12 for nec breda, looks like a good strong and talented forward, i would definitely take a punt.

kissthetree

1.) 08 Dec 2020 13:35:05
If he can punt a free kick in like his father then yes, sign him up!

2.) 08 Dec 2020 18:24:03
If he has any idea how to shoot actually at goal will be a start for our team at the moment!

3.) 09 Dec 2020 18:21:09
He'll be great until we sell Lyle Taylor then he'll go on strike 😁.

30 Jul 2017 13:01:43
Warburton has stated two more players to come in before Friday one a Premier League loan player I assume to be Baker from Chelsea and one a midfielder I hope will be McDonald from Fulham this he states will give him the 22 man squad he's been looking to build for the season (stated this 22 man squad thing a dozen times at least) however the current squad is 28 players I assume lica and Stojkovic will leave along with laccovitti out on loan so that's 25 plus 2 more equals 27 can someone please tell me the other 4 or 5 that are being dumped! all i can say is it better not include brereton and osborn.

kissthetree

1.) 30 Jul 2017 13:21:42
Yates, and Walker have been mentioned, County are interested in Yates. That still needs more to go though, perhaps Cash would have gone until his injury.

2.) 30 Jul 2017 13:46:45
yates and walker are not part of the 28 man first team squad so even if they do go out on loan four or five first team players need to go to make the 22 he talks about.

3.) 30 Jul 2017 14:15:40
ive tried getting it down to 20 to make room for the 2 new players to take it up to 22 and it is difficult for him to be fair. it would probably mean moving one or two that would suprise people such as maybe hobbs or lam (if we sign a cb) and vaughan, osborn or carayol. should we sign baker on a two year loan i eouldnt mind too much if osborn went as baker is a creative player also.

4.) 30 Jul 2017 14:18:16
Yes i do not know where my mind was then.

5.) 30 Jul 2017 14:23:29
MW has said he "wants" 2 players before kickoff. He hasn't made any promises he has just stated a desire.
Would be great if we get the 2 players with McDonald being one and possibly a defender on loan ( maybe the Chelsea lad)
The squad is looking good. If he can get the 2 proposed deals over the line top 6 wouldn't be out of the question.

6.) 30 Jul 2017 14:32:48
Fox, Lam, Henderson, Mills, Hobbs, and Cash would be my favourites to go.

7.) 30 Jul 2017 14:59:08
The way I calculate our current squad, our 22 is:

Smith Henderson

Lichaj Darikwa
Traore Fox
Mancienne Mills
Worrall Hobbs

Cohen Bouchalakis
Vaughan Cash
McKay Carayol
Osborn Clough

Murphy Vellios
Cummings Brereton

That leaves:

Stojkovic (Going)
Evtimov (Loan, sold or 23rd place as 3rd keeper)
Iacovitti (Loan)
Lam (Loan or sold)
Ward (Possibly injured/ in for Carayol/ Cash)
Lica (Going)
Walker (Loan or sold)
Yates (Loan)

If we sign 2 more, it's anybody's guess, but Cash could possibly head out on loan, and Hobbs/ Mills/ Fox could also be in that potential sale pile. Personally, I'd keep Fox as he's a leader in the dressing room and is fully committed.

8.) 30 Jul 2017 15:17:10
That's not happening bright, that would leave us with just manciene and Worrall and no cover same as goalkeeper put Henderson out and Smith gets injured what we left with? .

9.) 30 Jul 2017 15:23:45
I think Hobbs will be out of the door to be honest, high wages and I've heard rumours of him not particularly getting on well with the rest of the team, though to be honest the rumours are from a friend of a friend.

I think we need to get a decent CB, and someone to add a little more steel in the team.

10.) 30 Jul 2017 15:36:37
IR. There must be better players than Fox that are leaders at a price we can afford.

11.) 30 Jul 2017 15:53:09
Why cash? The lad is going to be something special.
How many young players come in first season and play centre mid right back wing back and do a job.
Picked up fracture against villa on the way too.
The kid is good his place is with us.

12.) 30 Jul 2017 16:01:32
Dazza60. If you want to be pedantic, he said we would be in a great place if we can land the final two signings they are pursuing before they face Millwall on Friday. We are close to adding the two final signings he believes would complete his squad for the coming campaign. When they are signed we will let you know.

13.) 30 Jul 2017 16:13:40
FF79. Depending on who is coming in Cash could be loaned, the same with Henderson. Should players get injured there are talented academy players to take over, you can not cover all possibilities. I was not meaning all would be sold.

14.) 30 Jul 2017 16:23:22
Considering the amount of games we have to play, League and cups, in a long season, and with our luck in picking up significant injuries, I'd be very surprised if we could manage this with a squad of only 22 players. Maybe he wants only 22 in the 1st XI squad but to me that spells trouble of our own making.

15.) 30 Jul 2017 16:57:07
It won't be no one expensive bright coming in.
McDonald is a joke at 7 million or even half that.
28 years old had more clubs than Jack Nicholson.
Manly div 1 so why all of a sudden he's worth that?
Sack that one off.

16.) 30 Jul 2017 17:23:41
i think we should try and get lewis baker on a 2 year loan and spend maybe 2/ 3 mil on a young, decent centre back and that'd be a brilliant summer for us.

17.) 30 Jul 2017 17:46:36
Never heard of a 2 or 3 year loan.
That's a lifetime in football.

18.) 30 Jul 2017 17:53:03
FF79. I thought we wold not spend more than £3m on a midfielder, that is why i asked why we would go back after alledgeidly being quoted £7m.
99. A 2 year loan is unusual, what makes you want that.

19.) 30 Jul 2017 18:12:28
Bright,

I'm sure there are better and younger than Fox, but I'm just not a huge fan of kicking 10 players out and expecting the new squad to bed down quickly.

Fox is not solid at LB, but for me is a decent short-term backup as well as added CB cover. He's also a great role model and apparently popular lad with the squad.

So, I would ask why spend more money on another player, likely to be backup, when we have one already?

I see this squad making progress on last year, and then next summer, we can look at moving others on to build again.

I don't think we can expect to address every single area of the team in one summer. Plus, with prices as they are, I'd rather keep the cash in the bank until we NEED a signing.

20.) 30 Jul 2017 18:51:52
IR. I could not agree with you more about expecting large numbers being changed and expecting them to bed down quickly. In my opinion by getting rid of Fox it gives a another player time to adapt, as he will only be back up as you said yourself. When MW said he wanted quality not quantity i was surprised how many players he has ended up wanting in, popularity apart Fox for me is one of the weakest links in the squad. I thought we would get 3/ 4 players this Summer then 1, or 2 in January if it would help us, if not wait till next summer.

21.) 30 Jul 2017 20:02:57
I think two of Hobbs, Fox and Lam will go myself. Think he will go for two centre defenders plus youth players in reserve.

22.) 30 Jul 2017 21:26:11
Bright,

I just don't see it. Fox was, in my opinion, solid as a rock at CB last season and is a lot less injury prone then others, as well as clearly keen to stay fit and ready to step in.

I wouldn't let him go unless he wanted to go. He's a good influence, a committed performer and has let no one down as far as I can see.

I'd see Mills and Hobbs out before I'd get rid of Fox.

Unless something incredible lines itself up, I don't think we need anything else in this window. On top of the squad I listed earlier, we've got Gabriel, Edser, Ahmedhodzic, Walters, McDonagh, Bossin, and a couple of others who I would happily trust to step in to cover any 2-3 month injury gaps that appeared in the squad. I mean, who was Joe Worrall or Ben Osborn or Lewis McGugan or any of them?

I'd sooner have a young, hungry your teamer step in and try to create a name for himself than sign players just to bulk up the backup who may not care about the club. Players, dare I say it, like Assombalonga. Yes; he was top drawer, but on leaving didn't even say he played for us. he said he "Worked" for Forest. You'd swear he was working in the gift shop! I would take a Tyler Walker or a Gerry McDonagh every day of the week. Win, lose or draw, I just want to love the team, not cheer for the van Hooijdonks and Bohinens who are just in it for themselves.

Just my opinion. I think we're in a really promising position and I trust the club, finally, to take us forward.

23.) 30 Jul 2017 22:34:52
Fox was involved in more build up to more goals last season and the season before than any other player. He does get caught out sometimes and try's hard long balls and cross field passes that don't pay off but is more solid than many, like Osborn he is an easy target for criticism as he try's to work the ball and gets himself about so stands out but for me he is a better player than Lam, Hobbs, Mills and Manchienne! I would keep him as with better plus and good team moral around him I think he could become a great lad.

24.) 31 Jul 2017 10:54:05
Come on redrascal really.
Fox only played 23 games last season and 10 season before didn't possibly be involved In more build up goals.
Nowhere near good enough far too casual.

26 Oct 2016 10:01:39
if the yanks take over there is a rumour they want klinsman at the helm.

kissthetree

1.) 26 Oct 2016 11:52:31
Apparently Berti Vogts, Technical Advisor to klinsmanseen at the city ground the other day, but cannot find anything to substantiate that !

2.) 26 Oct 2016 14:40:56
More chance of getting "Bertie" Bassett mate!

3.) 26 Oct 2016 14:58:44
Good idea Rogie Red, we have had "Allsorts"over the years😎.

4.) 26 Oct 2016 16:09:02
this is the second time Klinsmann has been mentioned on this site. As much I'd be happy with that, he turned down the chance to even speak with England when approached, so why would he come to a club in a mess and 19th in the Championship?

5.) 26 Oct 2016 16:48:43
Kev, he wouldn't !

6.) 26 Oct 2016 16:53:29
We're not in as bad a state as England 🤔.

7.) 26 Oct 2016 18:40:55
Would come for the money.

8.) 26 Oct 2016 19:01:11
The reason that anyone would be interested in a club like ours in a word is POTENTIAL. They will be confident that they can build on the foundation and it would be a calculated business plan costed and carefully thought through. Inevitably they would think that they could do better than whatever is in place (and they may well be on to a winner with that assumption) . Man's inbuilt vanity - and if it gets us sold and in more business like hands then bring it on.

9.) 26 Oct 2016 20:27:48
Burncross, even if he would come for the money we once again seem to be forgetting the dilemma of how would we afford that money? He would be part of the outgoings which count towards FFP I would have thought. Coupled with the fact he'd want a certain calibre of player - which we can't afford. Therefore it is illogical to think it's ever going to happen. There is a reason why we keep getting the also Rans and the unproven. We can't afford anything else. New owners, if they sack PM, will rebegin the same cycle with also Rans, mights be's, have Beens and wannabes.

10.) 26 Oct 2016 20:39:07
You more chance of seeing Klinsman piloting a Heinkal and Bert as his navigator, dropping bombs over Pride Park, than those two being anywhere near the City Ground hot seat.

11.) 29 Oct 2016 09:21:08
would pay good money to see that kimbopaul ! :)

kissthetree

1.) 16 Jun 2021 21:55:51
Youve list it mate.

2.) 16 Jun 2021 22:09:38
Kissthetree I think some of your sales fees could be a bit optimistic jenkinson worthless, bacharou worthless, bong worthless, Yates less than half that, grabban the same, Taylor who knows? Just my opinion,

3.) 16 Jun 2021 22:14:22
I think were still unsure on figs aren't we kiss, colback put out to graze. Carvalho had more chances than anyone. But because i'm unsure on your name welcome to the site sir 👍.

4.) 17 Jun 2021 05:02:09
I wouldn’t like to be picking up ghe the wage bill for that lot every month! Bertrand, sturridge, Britt, Wilson?

5.) 17 Jun 2021 05:34:06
Definitely lost it.
You have forgotten potential Olympiacos cast offs.

6.) 17 Jun 2021 06:54:24
Bertrand is signing for prem, Christie is available on a free afaik, Man U won’t loan garner until later on this year. Isn’t Westwood free? He’s a decent keeper. There’s a couple of ex-Wednesday players that could do us a job for free. I’d take BA, but also I can’t see him wanting to come to us.

7.) 17 Jun 2021 09:52:24
I’ll have some of what you’ve been on mate 🤣👍.

19 Sep 2020 16:18:14
Sorry but it needs to be said The manager has to go, I Managed at a very low level And I am 100% sure I could walk into that changing Room and improve the performance of the team Therefore any decent proven manager at that level can get that team playing way way higher quality football than they are now. And don't get me started on his signings, The Spanish forward is the worst pick since mike Bassett called up Benson and hedges! We don't need to build a team to win this league we need to build team that wins the league and is the basis of the team capable Off staying up, Of the players he's bought some are better than we had in there position and this team under the right leadership could well have a chance of certainly the playoffs At the very least but this team as it stands will not stay up in the Premier league, look at leads or sheff u as a template When they went up they did not have to do a complete rebuild and ship out 30 players but simply had to buy Several quality players to add to the squad, So please for the love of all that is good start making the right decisions the 1st one being lamouchi out howe in.

kissthetree

1.) 19 Sep 2020 16:29:39
It’s being made too complicated by lamouchi and that ludicrous back room team.

2.) 19 Sep 2020 16:37:13
Where are ya "Lead" Balloons?
This us right up your street mate?
🎈📌
Go on? I just know you can do it?
😉😉😉.

3.) 19 Sep 2020 16:55:46
If a proper manager that knows the league and is prepared to play the correct players in a formation that’s right then the club can still be at the right end of the table. Lamouchi has swapped the central defence so Figueiredo now plays left because he wants a left footed player there? The two of them looked pretty good for most of last season where they were. Now they look like they have never played together. Negative tactics are now inbred and won’t change as the players that played last season are totally shot of confidence. The change today in the second half came from the players that are not yet brainwashed by negativity.

4.) 19 Sep 2020 17:01:59
How many back heels will Taylor do this year?
How many will reach a Forest player. I am not sure he is a Lamouchi player!
How long might this be a problem for Lyle, should he be worried?

5.) 19 Sep 2020 17:27:24
I see Lamouchi's arrogance is getting in the way again by him claiming to be the right man for the job!
Yeah Lambrini dream on. in fact jog on instead as you are an absolute disaster and embarrassment to forest.
You must quit with immediate effect.

6.) 19 Sep 2020 17:51:36
Steady on Rogie that's a bit harsh pal. Just because I'm perfect and an amazing judge if football and always right, no need to be like that love. Pour yourself a cold one and watch the Man Utd game 😍🎈.

7.) 19 Sep 2020 18:52:32
Fawaz think it sounded more like desperation than arrogance to me,

09 Jan 2020 10:55:07
Nottingham Forest you make my brain itch Why On Earth would we want to sign a kid from Arsenal who's been on loan at Leeds for 5 months and only managed 2 league starts With maybe the same amount in the cup Producing next to no goals He's clearly not setting the training ground alight thus forcing the manager to pick him is he! So why would it be any different with us. Meanwhile we have an in form match Sharp striker playing week in week out and scoring goals for fun at Lincoln in tyler walker. Surely the Better option is to recall him If you're not prepared to do that then you have to buy a striker who will be prolific at this level Such as Gayle or kodja che adams or even whickam at a push just not a teenager who has never produced arrrrrgh rant over.

kissthetree

1.) 09 Jan 2020 11:28:49
I'd rather have Nketiah than Tyler Walker for the second half of the season. He's just a better forward. Wouldn't mind having both in the squad for the run-in, to be honest.

We only play one up top, so why spend big money on a centre-forward if he's not going to play every week? Unless he can play wide too.

It's a tough situation for Forest. It's not east to sign up a quality striker when he knows Grabban's got his shirt.

Nketiah did ok at Leeds, by the way. It's not easy to perform when you're not getting a regular start, but he still scored 5 goals in 664 minutes. That's a goal every 132 minutes, better than 1 in 2. He knows where the goal is.

2.) 09 Jan 2020 11:34:55
True mate, we need someone who's going to hit the ground running. though I've always thought Tyler has reached his level.

3.) 09 Jan 2020 11:44:37
We can’t recall Walker unless Lincoln agree to it why would they want to get rid of a striker in form?
That’s the problem.

4.) 09 Jan 2020 12:23:43
Good rant and so true. Ageed 100%.

5.) 09 Jan 2020 12:40:50
because we need someone as backup to Grabban and is versatile enough to play on the wing also. do you think Sharpe/ Gayle want to come to forest and play second fiddle?

6.) 09 Jan 2020 14:17:21
Lincoln have been linked to another young Arsenal forward on a loan basis. Perhaps if that goes through then Walker will be coming back to Forest.

7.) 09 Jan 2020 14:24:09
We could use Mighten.

14 Sep 2019 20:45:43
It's difficult to pick fault with Nottingham Forest at the moment almost everything seems to be going in the right direction however the lack of a striker signing is of concern. There's been a lot of talk in the Press about searching the free agent market with us coming up empty on any suitable options so why not make a statement of intent by signing someone like Dwight Gayle right now no matter what the cost even if you have to put in bonuses for promotion and staying up even a huge sell on clause it doesn't matter we should be signing a striker like that today. Now I know he couldn't come to the club until the 1st of January but to have a signing like that sorted now would put every other team on notice that we intend to go up. why wait for the window to open to then spend the whole time failing to land any target like the last window. no matter how well we are doing in jan mir and grabban are not enough! come on forest do the business now and set us on the road to success.

kissthetree

1.) 14 Sep 2019 22:18:37
We can't afford gayle he must be round the 20 mill mark so unless our owner buys our big screens TVs for 20 mill and loans them back too us no chance lol.

2.) 14 Sep 2019 22:51:54
We don't need a Gayle the wind has changed and Lamouchi is real deal.

3.) 15 Sep 2019 01:18:59
Agreed 79 We have a system that allows any of the 10 outfield players to finish off a move rather than rely on one main man!
GrabOne will provide as many goals as he scores over the season.

Onward and Upward.

4.) 15 Sep 2019 02:29:04
You reds, we keep on surprising. Fantastic result, made my weekend in Blackpool all the sweeter. 👏👏👏.

5.) 15 Sep 2019 11:39:21
Kiss the tree is right. We need another out and out striker who knows where the onion bag is and a proven goalscorer like Gayle. No flash in the pan guy.

11 Sep 2018 12:31:18
Seems that there is some confusion regarding my post on the morning of 10th of September. My comments were not a judgement of the quality of players we Brought in nor were they a judgement of the quality of the current manager they were in fact and I thought this was clear a very severe judgement of the current Tactics being employed! I truly believe we have a manager and a squad that both have the ability not just to compete but win A league of the quality of the championship this year. I believe a master tactician of a manager could take our current squad into the Premier League and week after week seeing a squad selection and a formation that completely baffles me and leads to poor results created in me a need to vent! so to be clear i am still 100% behind the club P. S ansifarad has just signed.

kissthetree

1.) 11 Sep 2018 12:45:56
You have confused me, and maybe quite a few others, you say you are not judging the quality of the manager, but severely judging the Tactics currently being employed.

Is it not the current manager using the Tactics you are severely judging, so you are therefore severely judging the manager.?

You can not have it both ways.

2.) 11 Sep 2018 15:19:41
If I said Harry Kane was on a terrible run of form and was making terrible decisions over and over again and needed to give his head a shake and get back to his best I wouldn't be saying he was a terrible footballer and it's the same with karanka he has the experience and the quality to do much much better and he needs to give his head a shake and come at the problem from a different perspective!!! And I honestly believe he can do it.hope that clears up your confusion s2g

3.) 11 Sep 2018 20:19:40
Can somebody who thinks AK has it right tactically please explain to me why results have been so underwhelming? I won't accept that we haven't got the players to be doing much better and the old 'time to gel' has seen it's day too. By now, AK should know his starting 11 and they should know what they're doing.

yates and walker are not part of the 28 man first team squad so even if they do go out on loan four or five first team players need to go to make the 22 he talks about.
