Strand Larson Evan Ferguson Armamd Broja or even a stop gap Kiefer Moore. As a Wood replacement.

Agree3 Disagree0

02 Jan 2026 17:07:01
Sounds very underwhelming munmad
Wouldn't want any of them.

02 Jan 2026 17:58:52
Who would you like DTP? ?.

02 Jan 2026 18:15:31
Unless we address the lack of goals it’s relegation. Simple as that.

02 Jan 2026 18:17:04
I've no idea who is available and it's always a problem trying to sign a striker in January
I've said before Ripley I think the problem is more the poor service to any striker
We keep getting 8 corners or so in games but the delivery is so poor and most the crosses from the wings are floated and easy to head away.

So is a striker going to make a difference?
I personally can't see it
Maybe change our style as it is a bit dinosaurish for the premier?

02 Jan 2026 18:21:50
Larson, Ferguson and Broja, scraping the barrel, all about as prolific as me after a bottle of rum. ??.

02 Jan 2026 18:35:18
Broja? Keifer Moore? Have you lost the plot MUNMAD?

02 Jan 2026 18:46:50
It’s a strange one, we seem to have bought players in that on paper would suit a quick passing attacking kind of football.

Now we are hitting crosses into the box and basically adopting completely different style of play from what I would suggest the EDU players were bought in for.

It’s not that the players aren’t decent they aren’t being utilised correctly.

02 Jan 2026 18:58:02
Evan ferguson us at roma anyway, so not available and keiffer moore? ???????.

02 Jan 2026 18:59:32
Totally agree with what you say.
A change of style is probably a good idea but does dyche have the tactical ability to adapt other than his dyche ball style?

02 Jan 2026 19:09:15
And that's the problem Ripley, he can't adapt and prefers playing British players or ones that have experience in the premier, he won't play most of what we signed and it will always be 2 wingers to provide crosses, no attempt has been.

made to pass quickly centrally and that is jesus and Kaliamundo game, not trying to hold the ball up for a static midfield that has no idea where the goal is.

02 Jan 2026 19:14:20
Bang on pineapple.

02 Jan 2026 19:31:38
“A change of style and tactics. ” Yes comrades, football management really is that easy, particularly mid season with fixtures coming thick and fast whilst missing key players ???
I’ll leave you with Mr Cloughs words…. ” it’s not tactics that win you matches, it’s good players.

People who talk about tactics are usually those who couldn’t win a game of dominoes”
Assuming Haaland and his ilk won’t be coming to us any time soon, I’d explore those options you gave Munmad……….

02 Jan 2026 19:36:08
And that's a dinosaur answer stokey
We aren't playing in cloughies era, football has changed.

02 Jan 2026 19:41:19
Ps stokey not got many injuries now, so that's a lame excuse
I didn't watch the Everton game so I can't comment, but it says we put 52 crosses in?
Now that tells me it's predictable football for any opposition coach.

02 Jan 2026 19:48:49
Ok Stokey ok!
So hoofing the ball and trying to bombard crosses in hope a goal will found is the answer?
As for good footballer's Forest at present fall at that hurdle!
You can explore all the options you wish it won't make any difference with dyche ball! ???.

02 Jan 2026 20:16:32
There's a saying Ripley, "if it's not broken, then don't try and fix it"
What's the saying fir Something that is broken though?
Over to you stokey.

02 Jan 2026 20:24:45
Dinosaur answer? Cloughies football principles and comments are timeless and are as relevant today and they were back then. Football has evolved but the basics haven’t. Good players do, in fact, win matches, 99 times out of a 100, regardless of tactical nuances.
As for injuries, “not got many injuries now” is a bit lame mate ( if you’ll pardon the expression).
Wood was our top scorer and a key player. ( Out for the season)
Yates (no matter what you think of his technical abilities), a vital cog in the machine and a leader ( out for a couple of months at least)
Murillo, our best defensive asset, 3 or 4 crucial games
Sanghere gone for a month
Aina ( see ditto for Yates, only just coming back)
Elanga gone and MGW out of sorts, Sels likewise.

A team demoralised and confused by the owners catastrophic interference and Postacoglaus chaotic tenure.
Like I said, with no pre season for Dyche it’s like turning an oil tanker round. Hopefully he will be given the opportunity to re enforce with a couple off attacking signings this transfer window.
As a footnote, “Dyche ball” is a nonsensical term. I can’t remember any goal by us that was the result of a big boot can you? Dyche teams mix it up and are pragmatic, certainly, and based on solid defending as were Clough’s teams. But they’re a long way from Wimbledon’s crazy gang or Pulis’s Stoke City.

02 Jan 2026 20:26:42
Football in itself hasn't changed DTP. It's still a sport played with two teams of 11 players trying to score a goal with an inflated ball.

What has changed is the exploitation of our once-great sport to satisfy others' greed.

02 Jan 2026 20:28:03
As for chaotic recruitment, don’t even get me started ……. ?.

02 Jan 2026 20:38:10
Stokey bollocks, time doesn't stand still, we evolve.

02 Jan 2026 20:47:59
It gas changed lego alot
We had one sub back in the day then two
Now we have seven and coaches can use that to change tactics?
That was never the case back in the day lego, so it's not eleven against eleven is it?

02 Jan 2026 20:56:57
History disagrees with you DTP mate. The technical means change but human nature doesn’t. In football, advances like diet, physiotherapy, equipment, fitness, etc but, as Lego says, it’s still the same basic game and the same universal principles apply.
What do Arsenal, Manchester City and ( until this season anyway) Liverpool do that’s revolutionary and ground breaking. Nothing really, they just do it better, faster and ruthlessly, because they have the funding to get the very best players, regardless of the managers tactical approach.

As Tony Pulis used to say “ If you want my teams to play like Barcelona then give me Barcelona’s budget” ie the means to purchase the best players in the world …Its quite simple really.
Again BC “ football is a simple game made complicated by people who know nothing about it”.

02 Jan 2026 21:11:23
"Strand Larsen"?
Sounds like a Detective Series!

02 Jan 2026 21:16:31
Not at the same time though eh DTP.? It’s an innovation but it’s still 11 v 11.I personally used to think it was crazy to have one sub in those quagmire pitches with clogging defenders who never got carded or sent off. Like I say, new rules but good players win you games.

02 Jan 2026 21:17:48
My gas is pretty generic actually, always makes my eyes wate????.

02 Jan 2026 21:35:54
You're missing my point DTP - yes it is still a simple game of 11 vs 11. I'm saying that the simplicity of our 'beautiful game' has been exploited through monetary greed from top to bottom.

The 'potentially' biased and corrupt governors of football worldwide; the greedy, egotistical club owners; the coaches who invent tactics to land themselves overpaid roles; the leaches that are called football agents; the mainly cheating, disloyal players who will do anything for a higher wage packet; the ticket tout companies that buy up tickets and then sell them on at rip-off prices; the price of pies and pints on match day and the inflated prices of hotel rooms at a home game.

Noses in the trough at every level of football.

As you can probably tell (! ), I have become very disillusioned and cynical about football as a sport. That said, I can't stop myself from loving Forest though.

02 Jan 2026 21:56:34
The innovation of having multiple subs just favours the “bigger” and wealthier clubs anyway ( which is probably why it was brought in). It means you can get more world class players onto the pitch with no dip in quality and fresh legs.

With the other clubs it’s a dilution, usually, of quality. But it’s still good players winning matches it’s just that now they have fresh legs!

02 Jan 2026 22:12:36
It's really simple. we have edu and his scouts and whoever else is helping him bring players in for how he thinks the team should play and be set up. he wasn't happy with nuno and visa versa with how it should work so he bought in a more attacking manager in the spurs reject that couldn't do anything with them either and then he gave the job to the only manager that would take it dycheball or hoofball and that's not working 3 managers 2 that have got teams into Europe its not the managers it's edu simples piss off and do whatever with the greek and Brazilian side and leave us alone watch his next exciting signing ????.

02 Jan 2026 22:20:41
Everything evolves it doesn't stay still and stagnates.
No disrespect to Sir Brain but you can't expect his Principles to have any effect on how game's are played today.
Player's are quicker, cover more mileage per game, boot and ball technology change which is evolution.

We can if we wanted relish on past glories etc but this is now and not Clough's era.
So I've got DTP's back on this.

02 Jan 2026 22:27:48
Not missing any points from you stokey or lego, your stuck in a time warp quoting from the past
Put the books down and see what's happening now as you won't find the answer in the past.

02 Jan 2026 22:28:44
Stokey as good as your post's are you are talking Bollocks!
Dyche ball is nonsense however it's a term to refer to a specific type Mr. Dyche play's of which is boring in approach and more than often ends badly!
Pragmatic is debatable more like predictable!

02 Jan 2026 22:35:36
Skeg.
You're correct since the arrival of Edu thing's have oddly gone pear ? shaped.
However we will never truly know the in's and out's of where the wheels have fallen off?
On speculation it's a combination of Marinakis putting trust into Edu who uses a method of which player's to go for!

02 Jan 2026 22:44:13
Nonsense stokey it gives every coach a chance to change a game, the top sides have the best players so the subs will be better players OK
But dyche won't play any different when bringing on our subs, it's always like for like and awoniyi is finished and yet prefers him to any other option?

02 Jan 2026 22:59:51
Also Ripley players were owned by the clubs, no agents, cloughie paid bonuses to get the best out of players as did most successful managers back in the day, they aren't interested in a bonus now and a two bit footballer is responsible for it named bosman, the football world went mad because of him.

02 Jan 2026 23:51:51
DTP, 'you won't find the answer in the past'. What a sublimely stupid comment. Each answer to every Forest question can be found in our past.

Back then it was a supportive owner, a superb manager, great players, no tactics, little training etc. Just quality on the field, self-belief and players who would run themselves into the ground for the honour of wearing the Forest shirt.

Dinosaur Supporters? Nope. Just those who dream of football becoming the simple sport that we supported and played as youngsters and followed into our adult lives.

03 Jan 2026 00:24:50
Ffs thought you were on holiday.

03 Jan 2026 07:51:23
Nah came back yesterday Bowie.

03 Jan 2026 09:06:28
Never read such drivel DTP and Ripley Looks like I’ve already broken my New Years Resolution regarding fools.
Time will tell. I’m getting on with my circumnavigation and supporting my team. Especially as you seem keen to disparage whatever manager we have yet offer little or no alternatives……….

03 Jan 2026 09:19:53
Your package deal run out that quickly dtp ??.

03 Jan 2026 09:45:25
No package deal skeggs
Just popped over to see some friends and forest fans to see in the new year and get some sun and beer, mission accomplished, had a great time ?????????.
