Seen some of the posts below, I just want to say I was hugely proud of the whole club last night, players, management, and fans, we took it to a good Betis team, a superb first half, in which we played some great attacking football, in a fantastic stadium, a real fitting stage for our return to European football, we wilted a bit in the humidity second half, but baring in mind 4or 5 years ago we were lauding away points at the likes of Preston and qpr as decent, I think last night was a great result, , and I think as a game, a credit to both teams, and I have to say I seemed to get 'something in my eye ' as Morgan led us out of the tunnel into that superb cauldron of arena, yep it even got to grizzled git like me, ?.

It's a shame we didn't kill them off in the first half with all the chances we created but I would've took a point before the game. Monumental effort from the boys in red but we just ran out of steam in the end. Brilliant from the fans as well. Backed the team from the start.

The turbulent forest engine has finally started and is now revving in first gear.
With the team and manager now in place, its fair to say, the last couple of weeks were our pre-season. In an ideal world we should have been up and running for the start of the season but that is not the forest way.
Still. a draw away at Bettis is amazing when all things considered.
Exciting times when we click into second gear.

Must admit Stevie i was hugely impressed with the first half, the attacking intensity is something I've never actually witnessed as a fan of our mighty reds. Anderson and Luiz were top class to the point i mentioned that Ando was playing like Zidane in his pomp. Jesus is looking the real deal, Drogba mark 2, hopefully he gets a decent shot at Sunderland next up. All in all extremely happy and optimistic. ?.

Playing Ange ball in that heat for the first 45 mins completely shattered us and legs were gone second half, we must learn to pace ourselves especially when players two games a week or like Spurs last season something will give.

I'm more than proud of the performance from the players and the fans last night. The £35 million we paid for Anderson seems like the bargain of the century. We were excellent to a man (although I think Kalimuendo could do with a crash course on his first touch). We missed a few chances in the first half and should've been out of sight by half time but still immensely proud of the team. YOU REDS!

Yes, we looked impressive in the 1st half WITHOUT a No10.

I thought Morato had hit first good game in the Garibaldi.

Carlo my old friend, that actually makes a lot of sense.
