Society apparently respects pub landlords and off licence owners, who are basically legalised drug dealers. Over 10, 000 deaths a year caused by drinking. Tons of violent crimes committed under the influence of alcohol and most antisocial crimes are committed by people while they are drunk.
The bad stuff associated with illegal soft drugs like people smuggling, energy theft etc are a result of the fact that it is criminalised/ illegal. If people could grow or buy soft drugs from safe sources then the criminals would be cut out of the supply chain.
The law is an ass!

Ripley, I've met people who've had a cup of tea and got into harder substances. I'm not going to blame the tea for it. Lots of people have a smoke or a cup of tea and don't become a problem. The causes of that type of problem are deep-rooted in society, just as the ones associated with drinking beer are.
Lots of people think drinking for recreational reasons is harmful, but they have no right to brand drinkers as criminals. Criminalisation CAUSES organised crime. Think about it.

I think my attitude to many things, including 'illegal soft drugs', has mellowed over the years. As a regular user of legal drugs, I have met many fellow disabled people who swear by using cannabis as part of their treatment. Who are any of us to knock that?
Using that stuff, or any other illegal drug, for recreational purposes though I think is wrong.

Lego I understand that from a medical point of view and pain relief, but when there's nothing wrong, it tends to lead to other drugs to get a better high from what I've witnessed and ruins lives then
Police turn a blind eye to it barring the empty shops on high streets and the raid them
