Massive shout out to aina, for just being brilliant all season. And toffolo for just giving all on his comeback. Elanga got to be his best ever season. I shot the laddie down for his finishing around 18 yard box and crossing. Mgw for his work rate and pushing the team as a whole. Totally committed. Wood for just being his brilliant self. If he was in (the normal) top six team he'd be talked about none stop from jug ears and dicks. Murrilo for his great defensive work. For me reds still a rookie, just lacks decisions at times. But luv the lad. Anderson i said all season, missing piece of the jigsaw. Holds the ball. Looks up and confident. Will only get better. Yates, well usual spoiler. Takes it for team. Time and time again. Bleeds forest. Hudson brings so much to the left. Something for me, premier teams struggle with. Still a lolley one trick pony but it works. Milenkovic. What an absolute amazing player. Strength, focus, just steadying everything at the back. What an influence he's been. Sels for me, player of season. Just been so amazing. Handling crosses, saves, and a defence in front of him feeling relaxed. Been a while for that. Ok will go on with other players but getting on. FTID and just ty nuno. Just amazing sir. Manager of the year without a doubt. FTID.

Great post from the heart as usual Bowie and bang-on the money. I'm glad that you mentioned Lolley - what a fantastic player he was for us.

Sorry stokey, but the author of the year award goes to Bowie ????
And it's only Wednesday ????.

One more thing, massive shout out to our progressive coaching/ backroom staff on our season. The injuries for me have been pretty limited. Touch wood. (Not many defenders can) we really do work hard from the back with pace, and cannot thank them all enough. Unsung heroes.

Great post Bowie! ? I’ve got a message to pass on from your friend Bob Pope. Apparently the Vatican gave launched a funding campaign to pay for the Holy Fathers funeral. You can either donate direct or go through papal …………????.

Well deserved praise for the main players Bowie. An honourable mention in dispatchs also goes out to Jota Silva ( a bundle of energy who always gives everything) and the young lads for the future Sousa, Moreira and Abbott. I don't know how many subs we are allowed on Sunday but I’d at least have them on the bench to give them the big time Wembley experience and a chance to play against Man City’s galacticos …….

Wow. Great posts and very carefully written, Bowie. I think I'll put away Le Carre, (reading most of his at the mo! ), and wait for the next part of the anthology. Keep it up if you can. All pertinent stuff!

That’s a coincidence Norfolk. I’m a big fan of Le Carre and I’ve recently read “ The Pigeon Tunnel”. My wife has insisted on me having a “ lighter “ read when we’re on holiday in 6 weeks time ( after reading the bulk of the very dark “ Alexandria Quartet” in Corfu last year) so she’s bought me a set of Lee Childs Reacher novels and Ian Rankins “Rebus” series. I’ve made a start with both. Childs are more like a film script than a novel and I could never get my head around the petite Tom Cruise playing the giant ex military hero. I read “The Naming of the Dead” mostly very realistic from my experience. His love of his city, Edinburgh, comes across very strongly, as much as mine of Nottingham.
Should keep me good for a while mate …. ??.

{Ed001's Note - the TV series is much better with regards to Reacher.}

Another coincidence: 'The Pigeon Tunnel' is on the shelf, waiting Stokey.
Agree about Jota, he can put himself about and do some of Yates's job for us. Maybe a word for the back up team that leaps out the dug out when we score then queues up to embrace the gaffer. Great sight!

Ed I’ve not seen the new Reacher but the body builder actor playing him ( who’ s name I can’t remember) at least looks the part ?.

{Ed001's Note - he is very good.}
