Message for Bowie. I've just read your post on the discussion page. I'm sorry that I've so enraged you with my joke about your sleeping habits which has led to you wanting to leave this site. I thought it was mildly amusing, but obviously not. You're obviously a sensitive man which is fine - I will respect that more in the future. I like your posts so hope that you don't leave. Unacceptable that you told me to f. off though.

They both are newbies. Bowie is a bloody Legend on this site, never met him however he's a very good friend to many on here. and has made us take a step back and see what's really important in life, and that's just one if his many qualities, so think before you post.

I've read LeglessReds post a few times, and think it's done with "tongue in cheek". I have seen, what I thought was worse comments to Bowie from his " Friends ".

Yep, it is a banter site. If I'd have left after someone "insulted" me, I'd have left about 15 years ago (or however long it's been). Even if someone is serious and actually doesn't like you, who gives a feck?
OMG, someone who doesn't know me doesn't like me! Just give it back but try to make it about what people post rather than personal nonsense and it's all just jokes and footy chat. Great distraction.

Banter, harmless and friendly exchange. Bowie's one of a kind, I'd have him in my corner any time. He's been on the site for ages and he's put up with a lot of rubbish chucked out at him. he was there for me when my son went missing, he gave me a lot of advice and encouragement. So please let's all think before we go personal on someone.

Thank you Barron. The post was totally tongue-in-cheek, which Bowie has taken personally. I thought at the time that I was being amusing, but I now wish I hadn't sent the message given the reaction. Lesson learnt on my part.
