The Times claim we have to sell a 'star player' before the end of June or we'll fail this season's PSR. Is that before or after the Mangala deal goes through?

Agree1 Disagree0

That’s us in the mire then ? where do we find a ‘star’ player from.

20 Mar 2024 07:22:24
Agree 2tone, not many to choose from given their performances this season. Perhaps Elanga may be looked at by other clubs, the rest not so sure.

Murrilo boys he's the one he'll be gone like a hot potato if any of the big boys sniff around. Plus MGW and Awoniyi have interested clubs looking at them. But definitely Murrilo he won't wanna hang around if Liverpool or Arsenal come knocking, probably already told the bosses he wants offside.

I was listening to a sport lawyer on the radio, he was saying Chelsea will have to sell 200 million worth of players and at least 3 home produced players, one being Gallagher, and having to get at least 50 million for him. If not there punishment this time next year, will make ours and Evertons a slap on the wrist. Oil rich Newcastle are having to sell as well, it's a way of keeping the money between a few teams, and Premier titles. Ambitious owners will go elsewhere or invest in other sports, and these rules don't stop a unscrupulous owner taking over a club look at Reading, it might have Mr Marinakis, at the end of the season saying "I'm off, I don't get this hassle with Rio Avenue! ".

Murillo will be the most profitable. Signed for £12 million. We would make a healthy profit on him. Same with Elanga as well. Signed for £15 million. We could make a profit on him also. Then the club can waste it on rubbish.

20 Mar 2024 09:20:53
Murillo on 30 thousand a week 5 year contract even if we go down to championship we wouldn't after getting rid of him on them wages he would only go if a stupid amount of money came in for him.

Very funny derbyred about par for the club in the last 20 years barring a few.

20 Mar 2024 12:24:57
Not about the wages skeggy Jay its about how much we have spent this season when the accounts are submitted in June. Plus last season plus 1 from the championship will be counted as the permitted 3 years, by my reckoning that will mean we will be allowed to lose 83 million. So if we are over budget again it will be see you later alligator to one or 2 players. Plenty of admirers for Murrilo and MGW. As we know loyalty in football is dead, can't see them 2 wanting to stick around if any of the top 7 come lurching like vultures even if we weren't in FFP trouble. The elite will always win " us small clubs just have to suck it up, make these players better players then let those knob scratches cherry pick who they want
. At least we will make a small profit which we can then waste on crap.

I know what it's about Clough daddy same as it was for Johnson but we still hold all the cards to how much we get for him same as Johnson we don't after take peanuts for him or we keep him and sell mgw it would be the latter for me anyway we will be staying up so not really a concern.

20 Mar 2024 14:16:53
Well let's hope your right. Don't matter how much we hold out for though mate if a player wants offski then so be it, get rid. No point in keeping a player if he wants to go. Anyway my point wasn't about how much we get but having to sell because we overspent massively because our owner acted like a brat in a sweet shop. So it could be one or both that go, maybe none but I can see us selling at least one. Personally I think MGW will be happy to stay for the time being but think Murrilo who's been here a season would knock. on the door saying he wants to go if any of the top clubs come sniffing. Fight relegation at a new prem club or play chsmpions league football and have a chance of silverware. Loyalties don't exist anymore pal.

Nobody's going to buy old chandelier legs Awoniyi. He's a total dud 10 games a season if all goes well.
We're stuck with him sadly but we're not going down anyway so roll on next season. This one's dead in the water for the second time in 2yrs. When you look how crap West Ham were last season and look at there league position now. Why couldn't we do that. We spent more money. Thank you Mr Cooper?.

20 Mar 2024 14:47:36
I know that there's only loyalty to money and I'm not sure about the fact mgw would be happy to stop here more than the fact I couldn't see any of the big teams making a move for him wouldn't say he's had a great season so far Murillo on other hand would get the pick of top 6 clubs but has I said at the right price pal.

20 Mar 2024 16:31:16
Someone still doesn't understand that the manager doesn't buy the players at forest.

20 Mar 2024 19:08:06
We don't know that we would need to sell players, we have some big earners off the books at end of June with their contracts up
Journalists won't know the current financial situation of forest or other clubs, they are just assuming
They might be right, but then again they could be wrong.

20 Mar 2024 21:51:38
You predict it 79 your always wrong ?.

20 Mar 2024 22:29:50
Where is there a prediction in my post?
