Slightly off topic but what’s everybody’s thoughts on Awonyi?
My opinion is that he is too injury prone and we cannot afford a luxury to be sat on a treatment table collecting his wages. Also I am not convinced he is a great finisher as most of his goals seem to bounce of him or scuff in off his boots. I’m just getting tired of waiting for him to put in a solid run of games with goal contributions. It’s almost two years now and it seems like he has only played about half a season?

Just had the same thoughts Red Ace, almost word for word. His overall contribution over 2 seasons is quite modest. I presume this is why the so called top clubs have shown no interest in him.

Generally, I like him as he is a real handful for defenders when he is, rarely, 100% fit. Finishing is not the greatest, but if he gets service he plays the percentage game and converts enough. Agree with Stevie F - my biggest worry are his ongoing injuries and therefore the fact we can't rely on him.

If wood's out of contact in the summer offer him a one year extension. He'd do well in the championship if we get dumped out of the prem. Remember how hard it was looking for a CF last time. I'd keep him, nothing to lose.

Get rid of the lot of them for me, millions spent yet still we don’t have a team - laughing stock and rightly so. No point complaining though as we are proper foooked if Big M chucks his toys out of the pram - we just have to put up with the incompetence of his chosen ones. Lose / lose situation for us fans I’m afraid but there is no other option there?
