There is a awful lot of criticism of Grabban on here but in all honesty would anybody score goals with the service our strikers get ,lots of talk about his demeanour but he,s aways been the same .
He,s said he,s always needed several chances and if his ratio was better he,s said his career would have been in the PL and not the Championship .
Better service is needed for our strikers no matter who the are !

He got twenty goals last term with not much service provided, so what has changed this term.?

21 Mar 2021 13:24:35
Even with injuries and limited service etc he’s had enough good chances to be on 10 plus goals.
As GF says it didn’t hamper him too much last season.

Grabban always looks aloof to me, he did last year as welll. When he’s rubbish it’s easy to say he doesn’t looks interested but in reality he looks the same whether he’s scoring or not . If Taylor and Grabban weren’t so profligate we’d be safe by now one looks committed one looks aloof but they’re both equally as poor in my opinion.

Strikers work on confidence two star, how can you get confident when you are barely played.

Grabban has been more than enough time on the pitch to come out of his bad patch but not managed it.

In spite of barely playing and as you put it being so profligate Taylor is the top scorer, how is that.?

With Cash, Silva !Watson, and a fully functioning Lolley last season’s service must have superior to this.
Strikers need 3 basic things Ability Confidence and service ,Grabban mainly a predictor, confidence and service essential!

Cash did really well last term but as good as Watson was last term on a whole he was no service provider, Silva was good at winning the ball back but again he was no service provider.

Someone has said how Knockeart since he arrived has put in a lot of crosses in dangerous areas how has someone with Grabban proven ability not managed to get on the end of enough of them to score more than Taylor who has played far less and yet scored more than Grabban.?

The only stat that matters is 4 goals in 33 appearances, that’s what strikers are judged on.

21 Mar 2021 20:10:36
how many of those appearances have been a full game, and how many have been ten or so minutes.

Grabban is the only striker at Forest that has had a poor term.

Grabban has had many, many more minutes played.

Please what are his stats.

Have a look through his career, always up and down !

Oh so because his although his career his has major ups and downs that means you should not have a go when he is on one of his downs even though Forest are within touching distance of relegation. Mmm.

21 Mar 2021 21:07:18
Taylor has had a poor season, his all round play is poor and his first touch prevents us retaining the ball and linking up play . It’s easy to see why he’s had fewer starts than expected . I’d get rid in the summer in all honesty .

If you are right then you are right.

Yet he is the teams highest scorer in spite of that.

Why keep your highest scorer out of the team, Grabban has done nothing.

You were saying the stats are all that matter, that is what strikers are judged on.

Taylor may not have been great but what does it say about Grabban when someone as bad as you say Taylor is out scores him with so much less time playing.
