I guess none of us would have wanted McGoldrick back last season but he helped Sheff It's to promotion. We have to trust the manager and not let our opinions cloud every signing. Experienced defenders are priceless.

Skegg, Sy, you both make excellent points . It’s obvywhay signings O Neil will make and was always going to make . When most shouted yippee at the appointment did they not realise what we happen? I’m glad he’s here and will happily afford him the time to do his job. If we were going to sign an experienced right back I would have preferred Gunter but that’s just my opinion.

Agree need to let the manager make what he thinks is the right signings. When some managers get it right you probably have a mix of youth, experienced players and ones that can offer something as a decent squad player. Trouble with us is we've been all over the place for years from top to bottom so it affects the team we put out on the pitch. We've had players leave who have gone on to do well at other clubs, if the foundations of the club are sound it spreads through the to the team creating a better working environment and players hopefully can excel. It seems we are getting it right off the pitch let's hope finally we can get it right on the pitch.
