I don't think I'm going to make it to kick off over here in Oz. Hard to know what team we will set up but MGW needs to be rested. Yates needs to start and mess with rodri to unsettle the midfield. Just honestly yellow. Also we have to be super physical and brutal. Hoping Awoniyi is fit to start as he could get in behind or score one of those famous scrappy goals. He's a headache when he is fit. Would love a bore draw but know we will probably need to hold them for a while then score just before half time. After reading a lot of statements about Burnley, my take is that they have been in the prem a lot over the last while and have amassed prem experience and yoyoing to get Ballon payments etc. they also won the championship last year and are a decent team. Surprised they had such a rubbish start. I feel it will come down to the last day but hope I'm wrong. COYR!

We are in the Nav and the more beer we're consuming the better our chances are getting Guiness brings optimism

Just for 11/ 1 for Forest to win at home £10 on it

That is a great price imo we drew last year scoring the goal is the season 25 passes without them touching the ball

Two main reasons why we got a point at home against Man City last season: we had a world class goalkeeper and they couldn't shoot on target, they absolutely dominated the game, Foden was untouchable - nothing to do with set-ups, tactics or managers. If we shoot on target if we get a chance (particularly in these conditions) and get in Rodri's face we have a chance of getting something out of this game. Can't stand the bloke - we have to keep calm let him get frustrated. If the midfield performance resembles anything like the Everton game it will be a cricket score and our goal difference will go out the window. COYR.

Can we do it again can we beat a team going for the title we did it last year against Arsenal, can we tear up the form book and beat City. I fear a 3 4 nil to City, game over inside half an hour. Last season we had Cooper which galvanised the players to drag us over the line. This season we've got a coach with the personality of a wet fish taking a dump.

Agree4 0Disagree

28 Apr 2024 11:14:59
If it's 3-4 nil after half hour, it just won't be the city supporters turning there backs to the pitch.

Anything we get today against ManCity aka the untouchables will be a bonus

If we beat Sheff Utd and Burnley that will be enough

Don't get me wrong I would love to rain on the parade of Richard Masters FC and send them away from TWFCG with their tails between their legs

Burnley giving me the heebie geebies. Remember the season we were sat in 6th, Swansea 7th and there was a '7 goals swing' on the final day? Think we lost at Stoke and fell out of the play off places? City today needs to be about damage limitation, our goal difference over Luton and Burnley could be crucial.
Like Skegs, I'm hopeful of a draw but realistically I'll take losing by 2 or 3 goals.
Sheff Utd nothing to play for?
Chelsea capable of anything?
Burnley away needing a result?
Oh the joys of being a Forest fan.
Could we get a point or 2 back on appeal? I wouldn't hold my breath. FTID.

Scouse it panned out as I predicted on a previous post yesterday. Wolves made hard work of beating Luton but did, Sheffield Utd relegated and now nothing to play for, Chelsea concentrating on Europa ( Olympiacos) and nothing to play for Prem wise). Only Burnley blotted my prediction that they wouldn’t get another point before they played us due to the eccentricity of Man Utd s goalkeeper. I still think we will get 2 points back and Burnley will be relegated by the time they play us. We could have done with Brentford winning to keep Everton honest before they play Luton but c’est la vie as the Germans say…. 🙄.

It would be ironic if ex-players with Nottingham Forest connections sent us down. Everton coaching staff, sheff utd is basically us without Marinakis money and Muric, who was a disaster here, will no doubt play a blinder for Burnley against us😕.

Not posted for a while, simply because the site has got depressing. Doom doom and more doom. It's been a tough season, but come on I've been to more cheerful wakes, than reading posts on here. What will be, will be. If we can't finish above the bottom three, we deserve to be relegated. I still live and breathe Forest, but I realise I can't change nothing if we're a complete sh*t show. Tomorrow I'll have several pints, a good laugh pump out MoK and be elated or more likely be disappointed with the result. Come on lads, lighten up. Good to see Bowie back, be good for a few other old posters to reappear. Also, good to hear from Rutland again, we haven't always had the same views but he's always been well respected on here.

I dreamt last night that Man City's first game at the Eitihad next season was a local derby against Stockport County in League 1.

Then I woke up and realised that the Premier League is corrupt and although they have broken PSR rules 115 times no action will be taken against them.

After being accused the other day of being a direby fan🤦. The bit of pleasure I got yesterday was winding up direby fans on the BBC hys. I would really, really love us to beat city and Woods getting another hat trick or just even keep it at 0-0 until half time. But as a realist, pep could bring any of his multi millions pound players of the bench to change the game, we have Origi!. Football is all about upsets, so let's go for it. UREDSss.

Congratulations to Everton on a great week for them. 3 consecutive wins and now safety. Given their points deductions and off field dramas the players have pulled together and shown the right spirit.

I sit here tonight thinking about this season. How we have lost that loving feeling. How the crowd at CG has changed so much from a year ago. How we have changed managers and above all how the players now seem disinterested. And how I, as a fan for over 50 years now feel that I can’t be bothered to attend matches that used to be the highlight of my week. Carlisle away, Walsall and Yeovil. I’ve been to them all.

I’m so sorry but the club is in free fall. We haven’t the balls to get anything at Sheffield Utd or Burnley. I can say that confidently and honestly. And the buck has to stop with Nuno. He just seems like a gormless melt. What a disastrous appointment. Love Big M but sadly he got that wrong. It was Coopers time to go, but to replace him with this bloke was laughable.

Agree4 0Disagree

28 Apr 2024 05:49:02
If we do go down or stay up, and Nuno gets sacked. The next coach/ manager must have a strong personality, who like Clough, would tell any one from the board if they came in the changing rooms to "f*** off", that would include the Marinakis son!. If Luton, sheff utd and Burnley go down, I bet none of them will sack there managers, if you look at the championship from 15th place down, one thing them teams have in common is sacking there managers multiple times!. It don't work.

Agree0 0Disagree

28 Apr 2024 07:11:58
That would be great castle rock but maranakis wouldn't bring in a manager like that and a manager like that wouldn't come to forest first thing I would do as a manager is sacked the recruitment management.

In my opinion the best thing for Forest regardless of what happens if for Mr. M to sell up.
Impatience and knaivety has brought Forest where it is today.
Yes he's back the club to the Hilt but poor business decisions are evident.
For a Billionaire he has no idea how to run a club correctly and listens to so called cohorts he has employed.
Sorry Gents but a huge blame lies with Marinakis.

Agree2 0Disagree

28 Apr 2024 09:46:43
No one would be interested in buying a club that doesn't even own its own ground
Lucky marinakis came along and wasn't bothered about that
Do you actually think billionaires run their businesses single handed?
Hardest thing in business is to find people who are excellent in their field if expertise and trust them
You have to remember we got promoted with a team of five loans so players had to be signed quickly just to get a squad together.
To wish or ask him to leave would be the end for us
Have you forgot what it was like under Doughty and Fawaz
Be very careful what you wish for.

Agree3 0Disagree

28 Apr 2024 10:09:58
You have valid points but you cannot continue to run a club like Forest.
Marinakis is stubborn yet is reluctant to learn from any mistakes.
He may excel has a shipping magnate but as Premier League owner of a club he's out of depth.
The reputation of Forest has unfortunately become tainted.
Poor approach to player acquisition and a string of manager's has had a significant impact towards Forest.
Ok DTP so what would make Forest stable when the owner has a feisty and unhinged temperament along with a gung ho attitude?

Agree0 0Disagree

28 Apr 2024 10:59:39
End of the day he promised us premier league football and he kept hopefully we can manage to stay up and bring in a better coach
Many players out of contract in the summer so a wholesale clearout is not necessary.
