As far as last night game is concerned.
Firstly the ref was abysmal. He bottled out of giving a second yellow to their full back for 2 bad fouls on Elanga, he allowed time wasting throughout the game by them and gave only 2 mins first half and 4 mins second half extra time when I timed both their goal celebrations at around 4 minutes each. That's without the subs and the ages they took to take corners, goal kicks etc. A disgraceful performance but not the reason we lost.
Secondly, Nunos challenge is to snap the team out of the doldrums. Our issues are not entirely physical. Ok tired bodies cause tired minds and bad decisions. Their 2 goals are a case in point. Long clearances, left to each other, miscommunications, Sunday morning pub football goals to concede. Like snooker and golf professionals who get the "yips". I knew after about 20 minutes we weren't at it and our anxiety just multiplied with every misplaced pass. Brentford were calm, methodical and disciplined throughout. Only Yates ruffled their feathers and took it to them.
The worst example was a free kick for usin the first half in a dangerous position which Elanga and Aina stood discussing for ages. I don't know whether Aina was speaking in Nigerian and Elanga in Swedish but Aina ran off down the wing as part of a training ground move presumably and Elanga just wasn't expecting it and looked baffled. In the end, Elanga just booted a weak aimless boot into the box which didn't clear the first defender.
Nuno spoke after the match and said words to the effect that we prepare by going back to the basics, defensive solidity and discipline, which is very wise. After all I think if we weren't so anxious to get 3 points against Everton and against a mediocre Brentford side and settled for a point both games we'd have 2 points in the bag not zero.
Lastly, individually, I thought Yates was our best player ( from a low bar), Sousa did well in a late cameo when the game had gone, Jota was sparky, MGW and Murillo frantic and trying too hard, Dominquez did better than Anderson who looked knackered, Wood likewise, CHO non existent. There was thunder and lightning overhead but nothing electric about the performance at all. The small travelling contingent were correct when they sang "Champions League, you're having a laugh" on that effort.

Unfortunately i think CHO has done his hamstring.
Oh well gentlemen, time for a deep breathe and go again.
We do lack a plan B but plan A has got us this far. ?.

If CHO is out for a few games, why not give Jota and Sosa a go, give them some proper game time, Nuno should realise that Dominguez is not always the answer!, can not play in every position. Square pegs and round holes spring to mind.

Season card holder. Don't pretend you get any pleasure out of us losing, based on an eighteen months old pointless/ pitiful difference of opinion. That has largely fallen in the favour of appointing Nuno.
And just for balance. I think Cooper is and always will be a Forest legend, for what he did in that unbelievable 21/ 22 season. And for keeping us up. Worth noting. No promoted team has stayed up since.
