With apologies in advance to our estimable Skeggs I've attempted a Bowie style lyrical arrangement in an idle moment ( of which I have many) and called it "The New Boy Rap". ( just a bit of fun and no offence intended).
He's dusted down his recliners
For which he's had some decliners
And a dearth of sixty niners
His slippers are by the fire
Just like an American diner
The microwave is on the timer
He's a Cooper denier
He thinks Nuno is the finer
But our League position is no higher
Some Eds think he's a whiner
Some want to give him a shiner
But he ain't no gun for hire
He fights fire with fire
He ain't no social climber
And he ain't no liar either
He's always in the more
And the end of the season is nigher
But he's always been an opiner
He won't join in the choir
And he certainly won't retire
As he's always been a trier
And it's going down to the wire.

Trust me mate - it really is very different - maybe not so much now but in the mining days it really was. No one really ever moved away, a language and a humour of its own!
