Left field rumor- Nottingham Forest have agreed a deal worth about £19m with Juventus for 25-year-old United States winger Timothy Weah and Belgian winger Samuel Mbangula, 21

Weah looked decent when playing in France, not seen much of him for Juve and never heard of the Belgium lad.

Rumour: Richard Rios, Colombian from Palmeiras, apparently the ultimate competitive midfielder, big buy out fee but maybe they would accept a lesser fee.

On the "three" Brazilian players from Bofotogo:

Sport Witness are reporting that Textor (the owner) says only Jair and Jesus (who both scored in the Club World Cup) are coming to Forest.

Cuibano, the full-back, may be staying put for the rest of their season and no club has signed him at this point.

Looks like we still need to sign at least two full backs this window.

STRIKER RUMOUR form Brazilian outlet UOL Esporte:

Forest, Wolves and Leipzig have all made contact with Göztepe (Turkey) about trying to sign Romulo Cardoso.

The Brazilian scored 17 goals and made 10 assists in 33 appearances across all competitions in 2024/ 25. He is a strong, agile and tactically aware striker.

Wolves and Forest are the go to destinations in the Premiere League for Portuguese speaking players. This rumous is believable. Forest and Wolves are also both in the market for strikers this summer.

I wonder if Mendes still has any influence in getting players?, he's done a lot of business with us and Wolves in the past.

Mendes must still be there, offering us and Wolves (others too) players due to the Portuguese link.

Winger rumours: Forest want £50M plus for Elanga which is £15M more than Newcastle have supposedly offered. Forest have apparently denied that Newcastle have made an offer.

While I believe there may not have been a formal offer, agents and the club have clearly discussed the possibility behind the scenes.
They are lining up Belgian right-winger, Alexis Jesse Saelemaekers (AS Roma) as a possible replacement should a sale happen.

"The 25-year-old ranks in the top one per cent for shot-creating actions per 90 compared to his positional peers across Europe.

Saelemaekers also sits in the top 15 per cent for assists, so his play making ability is undoubtedly among the best. "

Unusual rumour?

"Forest will be open to signing club-trained players in order to bolster their European squad. And Newcastle have a Nottingham Forest club-trained player in their ranks in the form of club captain Jamaal Lascelles. "

Been injured so risky but maybe makes some sense?

All the rumours suggest that we will lose Gibbs White and Elanga in the transfer window

Not if we stick to our 150m valuation of the 2 olayers.

The last thing Nuno needs is sullan players at the club, if they want to leave get as much as we can, the team spirit we had last season has long avaporated!

No idea about Elanga, but I doubt Gibbs-White wants to leave at this point.

Looks a done deal with Elanga going to Newcastle, Osula, Isak and Elanga are texting one another like teenagers before a Valentine's dance!. Forest have to make the best of it, take full transfer fee or 35 million and Harvey Barnes🤷.

So Newcastle back in for elanga?
We have to keep him at all costs, creates so much and will only get better
Destroys defence with his pace.

He is vital to everything we have achieved last season and our style of play next season. He cannot be sold. Insanity to even contemplate it! Supporters protest if any further rumours please.

He has a high price hopefully but will be hard to replace. I agree our counter attacks wouldn't be the same without him.

Every player has a selling price and Forest is a business sell sell make money.

09 Jun 2025 10:12:13
Elanga still only 23, worth at least 50 million for his profile of player.

If we sell, do we have anyone ready made to replace?

If we don't sell, he will be worth more when 25 years old and more experience under his belt.

14 Jun 2025 18:51:47
Definitely don't have anybody to replace him. And his sale would be a sign of lack of ambition so not a great signal to anybody thinking of coming to CG.

I'd let Elanga go for biggest fee possible. His free kicks and corners are awful and he wants to be the centre of attention all the time. I'm sure we can find a much better team player with lots of pace if we need one. Be interesting to see what Nuno's thinking about him.

When Elanga scored that great goal against man Utd, did it go to his head?, his assists to Wood was none existial after that goal!.

IGOR JESUS:

“I really like this club; it’s a club that welcomed me with great affection. The decision I made is another dream I have of playing in a big league, ” he said.

“When you get the chance to play in a big league like the Premier League, you can’t waste it because you don’t know when another opportunity will come along.

“I achieved the goals I had here at Botafogo, winning the Libertadores and the Brasileiro, two major championships. Now I hope to continue my journey in this new challenge in my life.

“Now I have the opportunity to play for Nottingham Forest, and I hope to have a great season there. ”.

Read a disturbing report that the 3 men from Brazil may never play for us. The Ex director of Everton, who is now a consultant and now works closely with owner suggests owner will 'farm' them out on loan! Can you deliver that?

More Igor Jesus rumours. I wonder what club he's going to? Could it be a new religion at Forest?

He said to the Bofatogu fans, in a message posted today: “Today I will play my last match at the Nilton Santos Stadium, where I was very happy and always tried to do my best!

I want to thank everyone for always supporting me and believing in me.

“I’m not saying goodbye, I’m saying see you later, I hope to one day return to this club that has become a part of my family and that I love so much! ”.

Danilo to Lyon 20m good business imo however with Dominguez's injury leaves us very light in midfield with only Anderson Yates and Sangare as CMs

Douglas Luis would be a great signing imo

Looks like Man City have decided MGW to expensive so only Arsenal circling now

Luis/ Sangare at 6 Anderson at 8 and MGW at 10 would be great with Yates as back up but need a Dominguez replacement

Jesus Cubinasa and Jair on their way but are they all staying at Forest?

Douglas Luis looks a great player. His wages will probably be huge though. I reckon they won't commit to massive wages for anyone until they have another striker sorted and know what we can afford after that.

The young CB we are trying to sign is Jair Cunha. He is a 20-year-old, 6ft 6in tall CB from the same club as Igor Jesus, who we are also in for.

I say yes.

"Regarding transfers for the three players mentioned, Globo state: ‘Negotiations were handled directly by Textor and Marinakis, without the need for intermediaries or agents with good connections at the clubs, something common in football. Given the good relationship between the two leaders, it was understood that it would be better to handle everything directly. ’

Those talks have been ongoing for two weeks, and it was Igor Jesus who was considered the most complicated deal to agree on. Nottingham Forest will pay €20m plus, as yet unknown, bonus for the forward, and he’ll arrive after the Club World Cup. "

Of the two defenders: ‘The figures on the table for Jair and Cuiabano are confidential. Botafogo paid US$14 million (US$2 million of which in bonuses) for the defender in February and R$6 million for the full-back in April last year. Internally, it is guaranteed that the amounts received will be greater than those invested. ’.

The two teams representing Britain owe there success to creative accounting, than anything else!, and rule changes to accomdate the Americans, mini transfer window, trying there best to get Ronaldo and Messi to play in it, if they had the technology they would have a hologram of Pele on the pitch!. More Premier teams now have more American owners or part owners who can vote for rule changes, be interesting to see what the future is for English football or will it be soccer then🤔.

I'd hope that the European competition is going to be a great way of bedding in younger players alongside a few of our experienced players and will keep squad players sharp. If we do well, all the better.

My take is that we don't just need a deeper squad, we also need to have a more flexible squad (and coaching approach? ) so we aren't as predictable as we clearly were at the end of the season.
