Ok, I've calmed down enough now to be able to right this post, because make no mistake, I was livid. I watched it on the box, and here's what I gleaned from the experience.
Mangala was quite possibly the worst passer of the ball in this game and the last (which I also saw). Lost count of how many times I shouted his name at the screen after yet another failed pass that was intercepted. Might be decent in the tackle, but passing is poor. Awoniyi. I simply cannot fathom out what he offers as a striker. Ok, hold up play is decent and he gets in the opponents faces. But my word, he can't finish to save his life at the moment. MGW. I swear he's only got one shot in him, and that's 99% of the time at the goalie and is never with any power.
Navas. What's with the parrying of the ball? Never seen a goalie parry it out more than he does. Might be a legend - and yes, he made some cracking saves - but is he that good, really? His kicking out is at best unpredictable.
Even with the above being said, I thought we were holding Brentford well. then in the second half, I KNEW we had changed something as soon as it happened (I even said so to the missus) : we'd started to defend the 1-0 lead and sit on it. Why, Cooper. why? It's obvious to all who watch us that this tactic simply does not work. How many games have we done this and ended up losing? Cooper simply does not have a Plan B, and I'm not too sure his Plan A works either.
Imagine my absolute shock at seeing the ineffective Ayew coming on, as we take off our most industrious players. NOT. I am sick to death of this happening, taking off players who were doing well, only to be replaced with dog doodah subs. And then Kouyate, who I've labelled from the very first games he's played in, as awful. I can understand Yates coming on as we all know that he gives his all for the cause. but the other two? Better than Surridge? Better than Dennis?. heck, I'd have even brought Lingard in, instead of Ayew and Kouyate. The worrying thing isn't so much as if we get relegated. it's the absolute exodus of our players if that happens which is the worrying thing. Kiss goodbye to Johnno, MGW, Lodi (in loan anyway, so he'll be gone), both goalies (on loan), Felipe (best defender by a country mile at the minute), Danilo, Scarpa, McKenna, Awoniyi. it'll be another 23 years of trying to get back up again.

It's alleged Marinakis was furious with Cooper yesterday after his Deluded decision to bring on Ayew.
Nail in the coffin and good riddance.

I agree with some of what you say, I think mgw will go to sheff u now they are promoted. I think he’d stay if cooper was there but I think big M will sack him at the end of the season now
BJ off no matter what happened - forest won't hold onto gems whatever league we are in, we’re not a big enough club.

2stars do you think the players have their wings clipped under cooper? Would a different face and voice unleash this lot. Or is it largely a classless squad with a struggling managerial set up. I say set up as it’s not just cooper. He never adequately replaced Stephen Reid.

Rutland, letting the opposition have too much of the ball in our final third is the issue for me. Too many of coopers clan are learning their trade and they clearly can't fathom a way of holding teams up. In answer to your question I think someone with more experience would have squeezed out a few more points, I think cooper would if the back room team (including physios and medical) were better at their jobs. We had enough, cooper has enough, we could’ve survived. As I said earlier though this Ian the game to be cross over as we couldn’t have had this as an anything game at the start of the season.
