Murmurings doing the rounds that we will be given 2 points back from our appeal.

Chimaera71

1.) 30 Apr 2024 19:38:26
I’d take that Chim. I did forecast 2 points back in my remainder of the season forecast before last weekend …. ??.

2.) 01 May 2024 18:46:25
I'll believe it when I see it, Chimaera. I hope you're right, though.

19 Nov 2022 13:27:05
Apparently we are being touted as going in for Zaha in Jan. I have always like Zaha, very talented in my opinion (apart from the last peno he took lol) . Thoughts?

Chimaera71

1.) 19 Nov 2022 18:36:01
Who would you have him replace in the squad? We already have to add Scarpa to the squad - presumably in place of Biancone.

There is a lot of talk of transfer activity. I haven't worked out who is leaving at this point. If we are bringing in a striker, then who leaves the squad?

2.) 19 Nov 2022 19:36:35
Thanks but no thanks , a mini Ronaldo !
CARLO

3.) 19 Nov 2022 20:04:44
Would love it but would be suprised lol, could fit in top 6 side for sure.

4.) 20 Nov 2022 10:20:12
Redcyclist: Dennis, he's been a crock of wotsit since he cost us £20m. If he's a £20m player then I'm a Taylor Swift (and I'm not, in case you were wondering lol) .

5.) 21 Nov 2022 14:52:29
We should have thrown money at Rashford IMO. I reckon we might have been in with a chance before the season started.

6.) 30 Nov 2022 19:08:26
Good call that cyclist mate ?

7.) 01 Dec 2022 10:55:59
We missed the Rashford boat by the look of it. A goal every 40 mins and joint top scorer at the world cup. Oops.

I reckon we'd have got him for £50M (the price of Dennis + Awoniyi) .

09 Aug 2022 09:00:48
Forest are pursuing West Ham star Benrahma (? ) .

Chimaera71

16 Jul 2022 16:18:31
Interesting to see Lewis O'brien and Toffolo missing for Hudders' game against Donny. Personally tink they'll be announced as Red's this week.

Chimaera71

1.) 17 Jul 2022 10:31:50
Hope so!

2.) 18 Jul 2022 01:35:35
Both having medicals today if the media are to believed.

3.) 18 Jul 2022 10:47:12
Toffolo a full back - do we need another?

4.) 18 Jul 2022 10:58:58
Toffolo will offer competition to Richards at LWB.

I know, bit weird having two LWB's having gone most of last season without one.

07 Jul 2022 11:36:15
Apparently in advanced talks to sign Williams for 16m, and Richard is in advanced talks too. Defenders. We really need some midfielders and another striker.

Chimaera71

1.) 07 Jul 2022 12:18:09
We've needed players all over the park, including defenders/ wingbacks. I'm sure they've got a few midfielders and forwards lined up. Be patient, they can't sign everyone all at once.

2.) 07 Jul 2022 23:05:28
The last time we had a manager that built from the back we didn't do to badly.

3.) 08 Jul 2022 11:10:07
Similarities are there - We've signed an England International goalkeeper (Shilts/ Hendo), we have an excellent recruitment team (Taylor/ Murphy), we've replaced our powerful No9 (Withe/ Davis), we've broken our transfer record (Shilton/ Awoniyi) and a key player that helped us up (Woodcock) had just returned from a loan spell at Lincoln City (Johnson) .

We even had to say goodbye to an absolute rock (Sammy Chapman/ Toby Figs) :D.

4.) 08 Jul 2022 11:17:41
Have we signed Davis, Wonky?

5.) 08 Jul 2022 12:34:10
No, mate. Sorry.

Was just pointing out we've lost Davis like we lost Withe. Replaced with Awoniyi, like we did with Birtles.

6.) 08 Jul 2022 15:59:38
Excellent analogy Wonky! ?.

7.) 08 Jul 2022 17:13:31
The Williams bid has been accepted. Personal terms were already agreed, so expect the club to announce soon.

Wonky, I think it was you who asked, is Omar Richards any good. He does have England caps, doesn't he? I can't remember seeing him play, but I'd hope that means he is pretty good?

8.) 11 Jul 2022 15:37:07
Apparently a bid for £20M has been rejected.

05 May 2024 16:13:45
Forest ARE taking legal action over that numpty Neville. Good.

Chimaera71

1.) 05 May 2024 17:16:51
I find that a tad pointless. It's not going to make a difference on the League positions. Neville is an idiot but he's entitled to his opinion.

2.) 05 May 2024 17:22:27
His comments, with mention of words like “mafia” were, from a libellous or defamation point of view, ill advised. Might cost him a few bob in the long run. Probably settle out of court….

3.) 05 May 2024 17:49:25
It's just words from one person against a football club, we need to get a grip and get over it. I said before stop treating our club like a circus and just concentrate on the football. I've read worse on here, Legless, Munmad amongst others took some rather serious stick the other week regards the army but they don't threaten to sue. Argue, disagree move on everybody's entitled to an opinion whether you think it's harsh, right or wrong. Since we been back in the prem it's done my head to be honest, VAR, refs, overpaid divers, cheaters and moaners. But if I don't like it I stop supporting which I won't do so have a moan and move on. It's time the people inside Forest put their big boy pants on.

4.) 05 May 2024 21:08:53
I couldn't agree with you more CIG. Whilst I think his comments did cross the mark - so what? IMO Forest as a club have also crossed the mark with the accusation of bias from match officials against us coupled with the implication of corruption in the PL. Whether this is right or wrong, we as a club have shown no decorum nor dignity in the way we have raised these issues. I have read some on here comment that they 'don't care' about our behaviour as a club in this regard. Personally, I do. It belittles our great history as a club and makes us a laughing-stock. Nobody likes a whinger. Whilst I agree Forest have been hard done-by this season and we are right to bring this issue up it reminds me of the song by the Fun Boy Three - "It ain't what you do it's the way that you do it, and that's what gets results. "

5.) 05 May 2024 23:26:30
Unfortunately Clough in legal terms Neville’s comments are in public and through the mass medium of TV therefore he is potentially in breach of libel and defamation civil laws and liable to being sued for damages. His employer through which the comments were made ( Sky? ) are also liable. It’s not at all like the “banter” made in private on here. The key word is “Mafia” which implies involvement in criminality mate. I’d imagine you will probably hear of some sort of back tracking and apology from Sky and Neville in the near future and a settlement ( perhaps a donation to a charity of Mr M s choice would be a reasonable remedy perhaps)

6.) 05 May 2024 23:30:26
Pointless getting involved in these situations
Loads of people criticised people
You can't keep suing.

7.) 05 May 2024 23:31:45
Well said Legless, yes I agree we've been treated harshly but your never going to win against the powers that be. Blimey if a television company such as Sky can dictate when football games can be played and on what day, what hope against the actual organisations that run football.

8.) 06 May 2024 05:33:36
The UK has become far to Americanised, DTP. A lot of people are using US words instead of British words at times and the US culture of money chasing and suing. So suing people for saying something that hurts others' feelings, as they do over the pond, is a natural progression.

9.) 06 May 2024 11:30:25
It won’t proceed to Court probably but he settled before the hearing with an exchange of letters between barristers mate.
Over the years the Police Federation ( our Union of you like) have successfully sued the media (and rich individuals) for millions in damages over attacks on the integrity of Police Officers, serving and retired…
Bless ‘em!
At least litigation has replaced the old remedy for insults namely duelling ( often, but not always to the death). As long as protocol was observed ie challenge thrown down, choice of weapons ( pistol, swords) seconds and availability of medical help, the survivor was never prosecuted. If you were up against a skilled swordsman or marksman it was basically a death sentence but at least you died with honour intact.
Of course this was only available to “gentlemen “. The lower classes just resolved their differences with a dagger in a dark alley followed by hanging of the killer was caught.
Went back centuries …. Think Charlton Heston in “El CID” having to fight and kill the Kings Champion and father of Sophia Loren.
The form of words was exquisite too. “ I can be found Sir at the Cross and Lamb Inn between the hours of noon and 1pm should you wish to demand satisfaction of me on a field of honour”.
Now it’s just “ see ya in Court tosser! ” ????.

05 May 2024 15:56:15
Well, just as you thought the Chelsea game might be winnable. they're walloping West Ham 5-0 at the moment. Could be the 'Derby' factor I guess with bout being London clubs. but, this has now got me really concerned. It looks like it'll be down to the last bleddy game. it good.

Chimaera71

1.) 05 May 2024 16:10:36
There in great form can't see us getting anything from them.

2.) 05 May 2024 16:21:22
More concerning is West Hams form as Luton play them next.
If West Ham win, it won't matter what we do against Chelsea.

3.) 05 May 2024 16:23:31
Yes, but West Ham will need to repay their fans after getting hammered, so hopefully they’ll come out firing against Luton. And Chelsea have hit form true, but if we play like we did against City, we may get a point. And if West Ham have already beat Luton, (especially if Burnley have lost too) then it’s almost a free hit. And if we get a point or two back…. It’s all ifs, buts and maybes!

4.) 05 May 2024 16:28:58
Flip it round mate, West ham be well up for luton next week. if they both lose we'll be safe before Chelsea anyway.

5.) 05 May 2024 16:54:36
KEEP CALM
AND
SUPPORT FOREST.

6.) 05 May 2024 17:07:27
If you go back to when we played and beat the Hammers 2-0 at home they had just off the back of a 6-0 thrashing against Arsenal. West Ham were terrible against us so hopefully they will be in reverse form vs Luton.

7.) 05 May 2024 20:30:55
Are you sure you remember that far back you was probably out your face derby ?.

8.) 05 May 2024 21:46:04
I was definitely drunk that day, Skegs. Of that I can assure you. Not as bad as my missus was last night when she got back, though. No idea what she was drinking.

9.) 05 May 2024 21:58:10
The downside to getting drunk is that you can still feel sh! te for days after. The missus has been hanging all day. So I got the guitar out and plugged it into the amp to annoy her. She was not impressed at all. hahaha.

10.) 05 May 2024 22:03:36
To make it worse I was playing a few Metallica riffs. All I got was 'TURN THE FU**ER DOWN, SHAUN! '. NO! was my reply.

11.) 05 May 2024 23:53:24
Well Derby Squire's do make an awful sound so you can't blame her ??.

12.) 06 May 2024 05:42:02
I'm a damn good guitarist I'll have you know. Choice of music might not be everyone's cup of tea. But it's difficult stuff to learn. Nothing basic about metal music.

13.) 06 May 2024 07:41:09
As long as you know 3 chords and can shake your head ??.

14.) 06 May 2024 08:31:02
I can just imagine derby now smashed out of his face head banging is long dreadlocks strumming on a make belief guitar what a site ???.

15.) 06 May 2024 12:09:17
3 chords, Balloons? It's not Status Quo, my duck. That's the stuff you learn at the beginning of playing guitar. Incidentally, you don't generally play full chords in thrash metal. But you keep thinking that you need to.

16.) 06 May 2024 12:37:03
Nearly correct, Skegs. Strumming a real guitar swinging my make believe long hair as I'm bald as a coot. Can't grow the stuff.

17.) 06 May 2024 12:41:14
Just think if you didn't spend your money on wacky backy you could own a 1961 USA Stratocaster like mine. That keeps my Les paul Gold top and Gibson 339 company, resting on my Messa Boogie. I suppose there a place for Squires somewhere in the world ??.

18.) 06 May 2024 13:05:07
Nice guitars but I bet you can't play any of them. ???. I'm happy with my Gibson 80's Explorer, in red of course, and my ESP LTD KH-202. Although the ESP one isn't as good as the Explorer. But Gibson guitars tend to have a better pick up.

19.) 06 May 2024 13:31:42
I'd like a Flying V. Gibson of course,

20.) 06 May 2024 14:10:23
My wacky backy is half price because a friend of mine grows quite a lot of it. Mate's rate's. You know how it is.

21.) 06 May 2024 14:23:46
Oh I can play. Flying V' awkward buggers to hold and Explorers Ulgy but Gibson are awesome no matter what shape and as for ESP, the only decent guitar Hammett owns is Gary Moores Greeny 59 burst. 2 million quid. ouch ???.

22.) 06 May 2024 14:25:12
Oh I know how it is Derby. Picture yourself in a boat on a river with tangerine trees and marmalade sky's. ??.

23.) 06 May 2024 15:44:02
I think that's a reference to LSD. Not the same drug and definitely not the same effect at all.

24.) 06 May 2024 15:56:33
The Beatles music is too easy to play. Nothing technical or complex at all. Just basic chords.

25.) 06 May 2024 16:55:04
I wish was 10 quid behind McCartney for the simplicity. It ain't all about shredding mate. Anyvway get on the blues Stevie Ray Vaughan and Matt Schofield, Gary Moore ?.

26.) 06 May 2024 17:45:29
Balloons, your '61 Strat is a beauty. But sell the two scaffold planks and get some wacky backy. Then play your Strat!

27.) 06 May 2024 19:37:52
Gibson and Fender are like apples and oranges mate. Two completely different beasts mate. Nothing does blues rock like a Gibo (Gary Moore)
Stevie Ray, Matt Schofield blues the Strat mate. Love em all ??.

28.) 06 May 2024 21:11:12
My guitar 8s better than yours and I can play better than you ??
Schoolboy stuff.

29.) 06 May 2024 22:27:14
My flat pack is better than yours and you don't possess that talent to play a musical instrument, well maybe the triangle. Stick to picking your liver you've mastered that mate. ??.

30.) 06 May 2024 23:54:42
Picking?
No I stick to being a die hard forest fab unlike you.

31.) 07 May 2024 05:54:22
Forest fab? They certainly are. Yes just sit there looking on. Always the bridesmade never the bride. ??.

04 May 2024 18:14:07
That was a performance to lift the soul. but for the first 30 minutes it looked to be another disaster on the cards. Knew the Blades would be up for this with nothing to play for, but we made it awkward again. What Montiel was doing is beyond me. having said that, and watching the replay back, Diaz pretty much played the game and to me looked like he feigned the foul; he dived, just watch what he does with his feet. Still, can't do that sort of silly slide in the box. Would have preferred Montiel off earlier to be honest.
Whilst a win was much needed it was still unbelievable just how poor we are at defending. Letting people run into space, not getting a tackle in, and backing off. If it wasn't for Boly and Murillo I think we would have been under the cosh a lot more.
Wood has completely lost the plot hasn't he, missing two absolute nailed on chances, to add to his misses in the last game. Needs resting or bringing on from the bench now big T is back.
CHO must be the envy of many a club considering he only cost us peanuts. Coming on leaps and bounds now he has some confidence. Still bothers me how one-fitted he is though if I am honest, and in that respects is a bit of a one trick pony.

Well, well, well, for once I have to give praise to Yatesy. Great finish, but at 20s that has to be the quickest foul he's committed this season lol.
Sels looking a decent stopper for us. The odd one or two mistakes in some games but nowhere near as many as Turner.
MGW was in good form today, but Aina and Elanga were way off the game. Not sure what has happened to Elanga of late but he's stopped using his pace and seems to forget to look up before playing the final ball.

Onwards and upwards. Luton drawing at Everton, and Burnley getting smashed today were great results for us on the whole.

Bring on Chelsea.

02 May 2024 12:05:39
Now hearing that the decision has been delayed as they cannot agree to a 1 or 2 point return. You couldn't make it up.

Chimaera71

1.) 02 May 2024 12:56:46
Where have you seen that?

2.) 02 May 2024 13:09:56
Where have you heard that mate?

3.) 02 May 2024 13:56:25
Cannot see any verification to the idea of jostling over 1 or 2 points but the generally agreed date for the appeal decision is early May. I find it hard to imagine it will not be announced before the weekend fixtures kick off. meaning announcement likely to be made before Luton and Everton kick off on Friday night. although they could potentially wait until Monday after they see how results go this weekend.

4.) 02 May 2024 15:09:49
Fake News, I've looked everywhere and nothing.

5.) 02 May 2024 18:28:11
Or is it 1 or 2 extra points deduction? haha.

6.) 02 May 2024 20:06:59
Fake news. Fake views. It's all fake it's going to be great.

7.) 02 May 2024 21:49:49
Derby derby you definitely sound like derby I've not heard you say anything about this club Mr sheep.

8.) 02 May 2024 22:00:00
Nothing to laugh about derrrby, I take it you don't go to the city ground or you won't be making fun of the situation. Some supporter you are.

9.) 03 May 2024 06:16:20
I think you'll find I was taking the proverbial out of the incompetence of the premier league. As in, is the delay because they couldn't make up their mind to give us points back or take more off of us? If neither of you have got the intelligence to look beyond words or an alias better then I pity you. I do go to the City Ground, Red Vale, as it happens. But what better way to deal with a bad situation than to laugh at it.
It's like when I saw my dad lying in a pool of blood I thought 'sh! te! I've killed him'. Then laughed because I knew I could be in more trouble than I already was.

01 May 2024 10:55:35
Just listened to Howard Webb try and justify the non-penalty awards against Forest v Everton. In it he mentioned how they've upped the threshold on contact in the box. Really? What happened to the threshold when Rashford was awarded a penalty then against us for absolutely minimal contact in the area? Me thinks he was talking absolute cow droppings.

I’m in the other camp to be honest re Mangala. He’s OK but of late he’s been a bit hit and miss. People keep mentioning how good he is, but I just don’t see it.
Last night at Blackpool he was sloppy. Then again, for a period of 30 minutes, EVERYONE was sloppy lol.

Striker is a priority. I have no idea why we got Dennis, especially for £20m…said it before and I’ll say it again: we had our pants pulled down when it came to paying that for Dennis. Almost as inept as a certain Silenzi.

Everton, demoralised will be there for the taking.
Or
Everton, demoralised after the drubbing, get a rocket up their ass by Dyche, and in turn come out like wasps from a kicked wasps nest!
