All this doom and gloom everytime we lose a game, that's football and that's the championship, nearly every team is in our position results wise at the minute, are we even ready for the premier league if were honest probably not, strong finish to the season and build on that for next season, carvalho looks a bit off pace but what can be expected, I know he has natural talent but I think he is a luxury we can't afford right now we need a player to make am impact now not in the future, when were earning premier league money we can spend 13 million on future players, things have improved a lot but mon hasn't had anytime at all to shape his squad, as soon as we lose grabban we look lost upfront which is costing promotion this year, defence is shaping up nicely, midfield is looking stronger just need an Andy Reid type player and another striker to have the spine of a promotion winning team I just don't think ak bought very well seemed quantity over quality maybe sell carvalho if we can get anywhere near our 13 mill and reinvest in 2 good players, we just looked tired today been a bit of a topsy turvy season for them I think hopefully mon and Roy will bring some calm and less fancy football that the players can relate too coyr.

This is a very good post James and I agree with every word of it. There is just one thing missing in here Luck! Season after season we seem to lose our best players for too many games with the players coming in not quite able to produce the flashes of brilliance you need.

I agree with you. I can’t remember hearing us chant so loudly or enthusiastically for a player to come on as I did For Carvalho yesterday at stoke. I will be shot down for saying it but I think we really have had our pants down with the signing of all three of the Portuguese lads. Thirteen million for Carvalho?? In the premier league it wouldn’t get you anything but in the championship it’s getting carried away. To think that some players in the championship who have really shone and their costs in comparison put the Carvalho signing into perspective-:

Timu Pukki Norwich Free
Mateuz Klich. Leeds £1.8 million
Siad Benrahma Brentford £1.5 million
Onil Hernandez Norwich £2.5 million
Pablo Hernandez leeds Free
Oliver Norwood sheff Utd £2.2 Million
John Mcginn A Villa. £1.75 million

We could have bought all these and had change!
These players are 1st team regulars and have all made massive differences to their respective clubs and their transfer fees would now of increased. With Carvalho there is still time and there is no blame to him for any forests downfalls this season. I just think we paid too much for a player who keeps the bench warm when the players I’ve highlighted above would walk into our team week in week out.
Still have faith and will continue home and away FTID

Good post James and sums it up well

Keenred. All of those players that moved with a transfer fee involved were officially undisclosed fees. So it seems you are just guessing the actual fee.

Guessing or not - we’ve had our pants pulled down.

I would not be surprised in the slightest to see Carvalho move to a certain Greek club in the summer

All figures quoted are from transfer market .com and who scored web sites. Both match up so unless they are guessing those figures are correct?
