I left this site years ago because of the rubbish I received when I was critical of our owner.
This is a guy who appears to lack any kind of patience and who works things in a way which I genuinely think is incompatible with the stability and careful budgeting we need.
To let Edu spend 190m, then sack Nuno and hire AP is madness.
Throw in Clattenburg, a confrontation with our successful manager on the pitch, and what do we have?
190m? How about spending half of that on the ground?
He has money, but does he have the ability to help the company slowly evolve and slowly succeed.
We now have a manager designed to keep us up so in a weird sense I’m hopeful he may have seen some sense.
The odds of staying up when you have less than 10 points after 10 games are historically v low.
I’ve supported the team for 45 years but in an odd way this feels the most frustrated I’ve been.
Time to hope SD gets out 4 or 5 top players firing. As that’s the only way we stay up.

Good post Forest! And welcome back. I’ve been critical myself of the long list of Mr M s “ indiscretions “ and serious errors of judgement since he arrived ( whilst also praising his commitment, passion, ambition and investment).
He does have a penchant for sacking successful managers though, firstly Cooper and now Nuno ( having firstly set them both up to fail).
Like you, I’ll get me little tin hat on….

I remember the Fawaz years and those before when we were close to the bottom of division 2. The current owner might have his faults but for me he only wants the very best for Forest, even if he has some odd ways of going about it. On a separate note it was my mothers cremation today, she was a Forest season ticket holder for over 50 years and the last few years informing her of the promotion followed by last years incredible achievements really perked her up and, if only for that, i thank Mr M.

DTP - this has been simmering for a while. So, let's get things straight with you at last. You have recently posted that you're a 68 year old male who only cares about the future. Yet, you now bring up Fawaz to respond to posts by others discussing the present and hoped-for future.
You also take a swipe at Stokey for 'wasting his time' with his reading. What on earth do you think you're doing on this site? Um, reading.
I've also noticed that you have a talent for twisting things subtly in your favour. Fair play to you for that intelligence - but I see through it.
Generally, I used to enjoy your posts in the past DTP. But something seems to have changed with you recently and it's for the worse. I hope to see the previous-DTP back again.

Fawaz was, if anything, even more of a disaster. At least Mr M has football experience with Olympiacos rather than the literal and football desert of Kuwait. But both have and had failings which need calling out.
Forests fears for our future are well founded imo.

Thank you legolas and cyclist did he get us to them places or was it cooper and then nuno really with a no hope squad of players assembled in bulk buying. he got rid of them both OK the football wasn't great to watch sometimes but the coaches knew what they were doing and proved it fact but the coaches became bigger than Mr ms ego and he doesn't like that now we're staring championship football in the face if I was a betting man with plenty of money in my pocket I would put it on us going down.
and don't worry about Mr m he will get his money back not like he needs it and move on leaving forest in the crap.

FF, DTP is pretty measured poster, I only recall him turning on one manager in the 11 years I’ve been on here. If he’s worried we should all be worried. The days of ND (God rest his soul) and fawaz are highly relevant their ownership years left any new owner with a huge mountain to climb from a football club infrastructure perspective.
If thoughts are gathering about turning on the owner good luck with that. Can the electrician in the house please disconnect the mains feed and remove the fuse board from the wall ?.

Nuno was right about the full backs, no question. Sending Caubano on loan looks like a pretty dumb mistake in retrospect.
Nuno should have kept what was going on between him, Marinakis and Edu in private though. He also should have got on with the job he was paid £millions to do whether he agreed with decisions taken above or not. We've all had to do that in our lives when on far less money.
I bet Stokey didn't sit in a presser slagging off his bro, the Chief Constable in public and he wasn't on £3M a year or whatever Nuno was on. I wasn't allowed to discuss in public what was going on between me and my manger at the college. It's taking the pee and he also took the money. It's wrong. The boring footy and being sussed out since March just makes it worse.

Exactly GoldStars/ 2Stars, comparing with previous owners, is exactly what anyone turning on the owners should do. Don't bite the hand that feeds you.
Marinakis and his lieutenants are not perfect, nobody is. They will make mistakes, like anyone else. But Marinakis appointed Cooper, appointed Nuno, funded our rise to Europe and the Prem.
They have also kept together a squad (minus Elanga) that qualified for Europe and added some good young players, many of whom are paying in the toughest league in the world for the first time. If Dyche can only just keep us up then that is a failure and Marinakis will, quite rightly, agree IMO.
So are we blaming the players? The coaches? The owner? Edu? Syrianos? People working under them?
It's obviously complex, and blaming the owner is simplistic nonsense of the first degree. The owner has the club in the best place it has been for decades. THINK ABOUT IT!

You are right Cyclist. Slagging off the CC ( or any Officer) was a disciplinary offence under the police discipline regulations. I think “ bringing the Force into disrepute “ probably covered it.
